I am using myetherwallet and so far it is really good for me. You have to keep your private key to prevent in exposure. Separate your private key, keep it in your notes or in your flash drive or USB. And be alert, phishing site is everywhere so be careful. Myetherwallet is really safe to use, it is really on us how we keep the private key of ours.

I use MyEtherWallet, because with it I have the private key &  control my funds and key. I absolutely don't want to rely on Coinbase or Bittrex sending my funds personal funds here and there.

I use MyEtherWallet after a failed attempt to re-install MIST on one of my less powerful computers. Syncing the blockchain was taking days and going nowhere. Since I started using MEW I really appreciate the simplicity and the flexibility of adding ERC-20 coins. It has good security features if you want to add a Hardware wallet as an addition.

Agreed. It is very convenient to use myetherwallet. That's why it is my favorite online wallet which I combine with ledger nano. I use mew because most of my tokens are erc20 based mew is really user friendly.
