You might try to do what I did. I was in the similar situation. I saved current walled.dat somewhere else.
I installed new wallet version, waited until block was synced, closed wallet and I copied back old walled.dat

After I launched wallet again it was synced and all coins were there.

Did you go to the Debug console and type:

You will have to delete the blockchain and load the bootstrap blockchain in addition to deleting the peers.dat file...

Please read through all the directions in the download section at github...

Hi. Is this coin still worth mining with what kind of CPU? And the ROI is 15% in a year?

Hi. Is this coin still worth mining with what kind of CPU? And the ROI is 15% in a year?

15% a month I believe if you don't Stake, if you Stake it's up too 593% in a year.
But staking is like putting your money in a CD you can't take it out for that whole year.
I'm mining it with a single Ryzen 7 1800X and getting 200 - 300 a day. That's an 8 core 16 thread overclocked to 4.15Ghz though.
What I'm more interested in is who is going to support the selling out. Is Coinbase going to support me sending it to them and cash it out/convert it to Bitcoin? I'm just hoping that eventually happens because waiting for someone to buy it on an exchange sounds like nooooooooooo fun. Especially the 3 I've been watching that supports it.
Welcome to Crypto, small cap coins wont be at Coinbase bud small cap coins are on smaller exchanges until they make major volume and work their way up to larger exchanges. Roi coin is on here only https://cryptohub.online/market/ROI/    good luck.

Hi Guys/Girls,

Long time no see.... I have been busy in other things...

Any how I come to give a small boost to your miners.

As we know the longer you run Windows the more fragmented memory gets. This is also true when using "Large Page File" setting.

This is not so much the case with windows server 2016 when mining the Hodl Algo. But it is the case with Windows 10 Home.
So today I am going to show you how to separate the 1GB mem your miner needs from the rest of your OS.
You will not see speed boost on the miner but server side (mining pool) you should see a small increace in shares over a longer space of time because the mem the miner is using is not becoming fragmented.

Open your BAT file and add

Quote
START /SEPARATE

To the start of your bat file.

So your config if mining on Supranova should look something like this....

Quote
START /SEPARATE
hodlminer-avx2.exe -o stratum+tcp://roi.suprnova.cc:4699 -u Cyrus.nod1 -p 1234 -q
pause

If you check task man you should now see the miner using 1gb of ram separated from the rest of windows.

Hope this helps you get a small % more than you are now Cheesy

Raster.

EDIT:

For anyone who is wondering this was done on a AMD 1800X running 8 threads. No over clock. Set to 8 cores no HT on the miner.
Earnings go from 0.45 per round to 0.6
Hash rate on miner (hodlminer-orava2018v2) reports as 805hs.

Is this going to affect GPU mining on a 4GB RAM system?

If you mine ROI now with that then NO it will not have any affect on the GPU side of things.

You could even give the command a shot in the GPU miner bat. I am not saying it will help with that as I dont know what you are running or mining. But giving it a go on the gpu miner is allways worth a blast.

But in regards to ROI if you are mining roi on the CPU of that rig then it will just stop windows fraging the ram that the ROI miner is using.
I my self have seen my own earning go up by using this.

I have a way to DULE mine ROI and XMR on CPU to get the most out of it at no exstra power cost and will make a vid for it if the dev has a bounty for me. I did pitch it to him but I think he is busy with other things at the min.

Nice to hear that someone is experimenting with dual mining. A regular rig with 4GB of ram usualy has 30+GB of SWAP file. My concern with this setting is that the command will "reserve" 1GB of RAM for CPU mining, Windows will reserve another 1GB and the GPU mining is left with 2GB only (DAG file is 2.7GB currently).
But to contribute, I'll try it out tonight or tomorrow.

If you are mining ROI on that rig right now it will not affect anything other than stopping the mem fraging that the ROI miner is using so don't worry it will not affect anything else there. Cheesy

Just a quick update on Duel mining.

DisasterFaster has given the go ahead for a nice new tut to duel mine Roi and XMR I will be making the VID once I have done more fine tuning to get the most out of the CPU.

At this min in time the stats for each are.

AMD 1800X "STOCK CLOCK"
DDR4 2400 Mem "STOCK CLOCKS & TIMINGS"

ROI Mining speed 750-800HS
XMR Mining speed 550-600HS

Dule mining speeds CPU Only.

ROI 520-540HS
XMR 420-440HS

Duel mining Speeds with CPU and GPU is the same but with the added speed of GPU.

All in all not a bad trade off and there is still some CPU left at this point in time so im going to do more fine tuning to get the most out of it.

I also wish to make the tut vid simple like my other roi coin tut vids so its going to take a day or 3 to get round to doing it and not having kids in the background screaming and shouting lol. Summer holls Smiley

One thing that is nice is there is no increase in power in mining both coins at the same time.

As someone who mines XMR this is a big bonus for me. I can mine ROI ontop of xmr with my XMR rig Cheesy WINER WINER and all that Cheesy

Who knows maybe it will catch on with other xmr/cryptonight miners and we will see something like duel mining ETH Cheesy
