OK back up and synced....

For those that are having this issue:
1) delete the blockchain and leave only your wallet file.
2) Start ROI coin wallet.
3) It may still say "No block source available" so do this> Help>Debug Window>Console and type addnode roi.suprnova.cc add
4) It should start working and will take about 30 minutes to download and sync the entire chain.

OK so can someone help me out?
What is the deposit thing all about?
What address do I use to deposit?  My own?
Any recommendations for how much and how long?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob thank you for your interest in the coin! So the deposit thing is the thing that makes this a triple hybrid. So the coin has POW CPU only mining, it has a standard POS % for coins just sitting in the wallet and then it has a term deposit option which allows you to lock coins for 2 days up to 1 year. The longer you lock them the higher % you will get. In order to do a deposit go to receive and create a address and copy it. Then click the deposit tab and send coins to that address (send to yourself basically) and just choose how many coins and for how long. Once you do the lock you will see a line item entry in the lower section of the wallet that will display all of your locked coin details.

If it might help you can watch a YouTube video that covers the entire process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylG-6GiA-UQ&t=4s

Cool thanks!  I got it...  The video no longer matches the wallet software but it still made sense.  I get it now.
I just deposited all my coins for 12 days just to see what happens.

I mined these coins back in April when a pool was up and I felt these were worth mining.  As you know things have changed since then.  I decided to look at coins I was not following anymore and recently and decided to have a look again.  THIS seems like a fun coin and now I am more interested than I was last year!  It's an interesting coin....  So I am going to play again now...

Again thanks for the explanation and video...  Lets see what happens in 12 days as this is new to me vs. litecoin and others I have been playing with...

Oh and can I ask please... All my coins are deposited now.  Do I have to leave the wallet running for 12 days?  Or can I close it from time to time when I need my PC to do other work?

Also as far is mining...  I mined for 4 hours and got nothing.  What is the difficulty now?
I mined at CPU speed of about 300H/s...  Nothing in 4 hours... Should I go back to pool mining again?
Or stick with it and try to nail a block? What are the odds of a block today?

Thanks,
Bob

You may find an occasional block solo mining at 300 H/s but you would likely get more regular stream of coins using a pool.

You can shut down your wallet whenever you like and it will not have any impact on your locked coins.

Just registered to say thanks to TheRaster, cluster mining is awesome, today is new record - 720 coins in 24h on an old i7-5930k... So far it was three times as profitable as pool mining (getting 360-480 coins on average a day, opposed to 150-160 in a pool).

You are more than welcome I am glad we have helped you and others.

Also thanks for letting me know my site has gone down. Bloody godaddy going to get a kick in the nutts. Im sick of doing this now. (3rd time this week).

alot of sites seem to be having troubles, i blame cryptokitties, they broke the internet Cheesy
i been watching this cluster pool, great idea man, i just been soloing with a i-7 6700, some days are better than others
Might have to come check you guys out Smiley Thanks for doing this, p2pools are the shit
From now the Internet should beware of CryptoFlowers Grin

CLUSTER UPDATE

The cluster will be going off line for some time from 11-01-2019 UK or 01-11-2019 US
It will be online till that date then it will come back later in the month.
You can keep your rigs on it till the 11th UK time but after that the server will be offline.

I will post back up once the cluster is back online later in the month.

Big announcement! ROI Coin has been listed and can now be traded at the First Crypto Bank exchange. It is paired with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Doge. This exchange has a lot of potential and you can get signed up at https://fcbaccount.com/
