You only lose if... you don't research the coin you're thinking about investing in, before you buy it.

But it's also possible to lose when you invest in a coin that clearly has a future, hold the coin as long as you can even with the price decrease, and research a lot about the coin before buying it. Once the developer has ran away and there are no more updates, the coin will die in just a matter of hours. It will become a race. The last one to sell will be a bagholder of a shit coin.

Some coins have excellent plans all along but never get to do it because they never actually planned to do so. Beware of devs that only want to make a quick buck from investors.

Yes, after bitcoin achieved big value in relatively short term, there are plenty of altcoins are coming up everyday. If we choose them randomly, we may lose at the end definitely. We must be careful for choosing the right coins for both trading as well for investing. Honestly I never recommend altcoins for investments, they are only good for short term trading.

See I think this is the sort of mindset that I can get behind but only partially, I do think at some point you should be able to sell in order to minimize losses. But if you're one of those people that are just going to keep selling when you're down a little bit, then you're just going to be a shitty trader who isn't going to make any money from this in the least, you should know when to hold your cards and know when to fold them as well to be able to maximize profits and minimize losses.

Everyone is going to have trades that they should have and shouldn't of made, you can't live in the past when it comes to stuff like that though cause it's just going to lead to anger and desperation regarding the losses.

We only lose if we do panic selling instead of making some cash maybe you will lose half of your investment if you don't hold. You need to be patient when making trade or else something bad will happen.

Yes, bitcoin is not just for selling. Holding bitcoin is also profitable and I think it is much safer than taking risk in gambling and trading. Also, you will find out that holding and saving bitcoin in your wallet will be useful when an emergency happens or when you find yourself needing money and you do not have cash.

Holding bitcoin is also much better than using it in gambling hoping that you will quickly earn money. Many have mistaken using bitcoin for betting then lose huge amount in the end instead of doubling or earning through playing gambling.
