I am also agree with you mate, it is better to stay away from ICO as an newbie and trade with popular altcoins or bitcoin because it is less risky but if he really want to do ICO then I recommend him to take a look at Ico reviews websites and do his own research. Really the best ICO does not depend at all on how long you have spent in crypto. I would say however firstly that you should form your own judgements instead of asking others and secondly that depending on how much you have to invest you may find that some projects are off limits for you.

Newbies should stay away from ICO. They make many mistake while participating in ICO. The send ethereums to wrong addresses and they have problems after all. They give exchange wallet addresses while participating.
