That's quite a surprise, I didn't think they had finished a Mini rig yet.

It astounds me that with the pretty obvious wall of BFL FPGA product in the OP photo, that people were doubting BFL's ability to deliver product, and calling it a scam etc. Sure, they are really slow, but they certainly have a track record of shipping stuff with photos to prove it. I hadn't ordered a BFL product prior to joining this forum, what made me finally do so was the same group of trolls in every BFL thread, I could tell these people were trying to hold back BFL sales, I assumed they saw BFL a threat, therefore kind of an endorsement. I know, it's inverse logic, but this thread seems to show I make the right deduction after all. Only wish I could afford a MiniRig.

It's been up and down numerous times as I've been chipping away at the code to make it work at its theoretical maximum 480GH.

It's mostly working now. Here's what I've got:

BFL is finally shipping significant hash rate! Hopefully, they get the singles and mini-rigs out to everyone in 2-3 weeks so they can get some of their BTC back before Avalon and KNCMiner (possibly) deliver.

It's been up and down numerous times as I've been chipping away at the code to make it work at its theoretical maximum 480GH.

Why 480 and not 500?
It behaves like 8 60GH singles instead of some separate unit. I have no idea about their claims and whatnot.

Update after running a while:
Code:
 cgminer version 3.2.2 - Started: [2013-06-19 02:26:38]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 (5s):479.8G (avg):478.1Gh/s | A:493  R:0  HW:1757  U:13.1/m  WU:6674.9/m
 ST: 2  SS: 1  NB: 3  LW: 265104  GF: 0  RF: 1
Connected to XXX diff 500 with stratum
 Block: 00cf53e5f0b96db7...  Diff:19.3M  Started: [02:56:53]  Best share: 610K
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks spot on for 480GH. HW errors ~0.7%. Yes, unit 4 looks hotter than the rest but no throttling appears to happen till 90.

Well, if they string it out over 90 days...some people are going to get wrecked.

Honestly I think this is more smoke and mirrors by BFL.

They are shipping BOTH mini rigs and singles, honest, honestly, they honestly are.....

(the rest of the suckers that ordered singles and mini rigs can wait weeks-months, but this shipment is mainly to produce more preorders.)

Am I wrong or am I right?

I guess we will wait and see, however they also shipped their first Single... to one person.

They also now shipped their first mini rig... to one person.

Lets see if they can deliver multiple units to different customers, not puppets they delivered to and requested they post a review on the forums (like the first single receiver admitted to and like gigaVPS was requested to do by assumption because he's one of their biggest mini rig customers/supporters)....

it may not be accurate because there are a lot of units in that room heating up the room temp so who knows what it would when you have it

If it was mine I would take it apart and let it breathe. Temps over 50C bug me, I can't imagine letting it suffocate at 80C plus continuously. Obviously they're pushing the limits of thermal design for that housing. Using punched/cut vents also hurts airflow pretty bad. A standard wire ring fan vent would probably double the airflow going through that thing.

Maybe they don't have enough ventilation for the mini-rig, single should be much better cooled

I just did days of extensive search for a quiet but powerful 120MM fan, so far Gentle Typhoon AP15 1850 RPM seems work best for cooling this kind of heat sinks

500 GH/s? I will be seriously impressed with BFL if/when they are actually able to start shipping these bastards.

Anyone selling in hand units? I'll pay 10% over your pre-order price.   Grin Grin Grin
no one is gonna sell you theirs... so make one, get involved: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237710.0

Ok, so one customer got a single.

And one customer got 1/3rd of a mini-rig.

While that is still not what we all want ... it IS a start.

And hopefully BFL can ramp up from here and finally give us our orders!!
