I was talking with a friend of mine about cryptocurrencies and he said:
"Cryptocurrencies are anonymous?Nothing on the internet is anonymous.Having a bunch of dollars or euro in the pocket is the most anonymous way to store money. "
Damn,now i think that he is right and fiat money are still way more convenient ,despite all the inflation,banks monopoly and control.From my personal experiense 99% of the people refuse to believe in bitcoin and refuse to adopt it in their daily life.Any opinions?

maybe because of the norms that the society only accept as payment method is fiat money. and when another kind of monetary system come up we will just ignore it at first because we dont want change.. but when bitcoin created many people dont know its potential and when years passed people curious about bitcoin and now plenty people investing on it because of its security and not manipulated by any kind of government entity or country. because of the blockchain technology behind it people accept bitcoin now as a payment method store value of money. the growth of bitcoin in the span of 1 year is so huge.

I wouldn't say 99% but I do firmly believe that there is still a vast majority of our population that does think FIAT money is better than Bitcoin. Not because they know that it's better but because they think it's better. They use these stupid sayings like if I can't feel it in my hand it's not money, or FIAT has always been around and it's backed by gold. Oh boy, their day will come.

Not all people want or has any usage to Bitcoin being an anonymous currency and all of you wonder why almost all people still prefer Bitcoin in their daily lives. When you look at it in a practical and more sensible way using Fiat currency or even things linked to it like credit and debit cards are the way to go as it is more accepted and also will not make you incur any additional fees as there is no such thing as transaction fees every time you will send payment.

Of course fiat are still good than crypto currency because you can use it on your daily expenses.
Right now you can't use crypto currency on most of your daily expenses and it may only be
considered as an asset that you can keep for future needs.

Of course fiat are still good than crypto currency because you can use it on your daily expenses.
Right now you can't use crypto currency on most of your daily expenses and it may only be
considered as an asset that you can keep for future needs.

You must remember one important things, Cryptocurrencies debit card is already available to solve the problem of spending in real life, it's as convenient as the way you use debit cards issued by your local banks.
But, in order to make cryptocurrencies more spendable and more practical to be used, they enable the card's loading with many cryptocurrencies thus spending IRL will not going to be a problem anymore.

Fiat and crypto are distinct from each other and cash's advantage over bitcoin is that you can do any transaction easily anytime soon since it is offline. Moreover, there is also no processing fee or any charges when you transact using cash.

As you said the fiat and crypto are totally different,if you have cash it is easy to transact and no internet needed,then cash has been in the use for long time but we can expect fiat to stay forever.This is new era everything in the world is changing,before we have landline phone now everyone having mobile phones like that also fiat will be replaced by crypto in the future.

I must agree with your friend in some simply cases. Currently if you want to buy any crypto you send your money from your bank or connected account when you have to put your identity. Then you ca use exchanges, so there is no more anonymity here... At least at beginig of such case, of course you can get crypto form other source but i don't think so that someone new and even most people on the forum are able to deal with it.
People can also spend fiat for daily expenses. Bitcoin is not centralized but currently mainly speculated...

Absolutely right, this is true as the result we see many people around the world did'nt know about bitcoin at this new generation. Few countries having accepted the digital currencies but they are only a second many, so people still think that fiat money are better than crypto.

Its the reality of the world now, because bitcoin is more like a bubble that ready to burst as seen by most economics and it makes a good point of view to most people. Most people dont really want to change too fast and with something they dont really good at and at this point bitcoin prices surged too fast while there are no good reasons other than demand about the annoymous transactions, before we got bitcoins people used to use tulips, stocks and property and all those thing become bubble so i think its reasonable if most people still think fiat money are better than crypto 

Yup there is quite a majority of people who use the fiat money instead of the bitcoins for the sake of monetary matters. Bitcoin is not a legal economy and therefore the people always fear to buy it as it would not guarantee them a life time security with reference to the earning methods. Along with it, the price of Btcs is a subject to change after every few months and hence a person does not find stability in his financial life.

The general misconception in the mind of people about Bitcoin is that it is the currency of darkweb or is used in criminal activities. This what government and financial institution in many countries are propagating. Also cryptos are not regulated or controlled by government. It's inevitable that flat is still more convenient than crypto. But both of these payment tools have their weaknesses and advantages. For example, with flat you can use it as a payment tool without having to pay for any fees like when you use crypto as payment. But with crypto you can send it to all over the world easier, anonymously. And also the prices of crypto is inclined to / tend to raise. But even so, for me personally flat is still better than crypto at the moment.

First, how much fiat can he hold anonymously...can he hold $100,000 Euro in his pocket, anonymously? No.

Second, to get that anonymous fiat in his pocket he needs to go to a bank, withdraw the money and likely pay a fee. Oh, and when he withdraws that fiat his bank records that transaction (and that record probably has his name and account number!) Now, I can send you $100,000 euro (or a bit more than 100 Bitcoin) and while my wallet address and your wallet address will be public, you and I each are in sole control over who knows that wallet address is owned by either one of us.

Third, his fiat Euro is worth less tomorrow than it is to day, while our bitcoin is worth more tomorrow than it is today, simply because our money supply is finite.

Yes ho has anonymously 100k in pocket no one. No matter how we turn thing out we need fiat, why we change bitcoin or ethereum to fiat every time. No need to be 100k or 1000 dollars or euros but eventually we all do this on some point.

There is nothing you can do to change that, and let me say it, Fiat is better yep. Why I said it is better is because it is needed by everyone more than Bitcoin, and I’m very sure that 100% of the people that are Investing on Bitcoin are into it just to make more money (Fiat) and not just because they need Bitcoin. So I wouldn’t blame that your friend for saying that Fiat is better than Bitcoin, because Fiat is more important.

Yes i am the one of them, fiat currency is better because it is operated by central bank and we have security of our money. Bitcoin is decentralize and no third party involvement is there, thats why people worried about fraudulent activity.
