I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that one bitcoin will be worth $10,000 by March 2018. If you look at what the price was even 12 months ago then a pump to 10k & above doesn’t seem too much of a jump.

There's a chance, however, as you know some holders are dumping because there was a news that segwit2x is cancelled. People stored bitcoin because they wanted to take advantage of the fork to get free coins. Since it was cancelled the dump will happen early. Let's just see if it will reach 10k by 2018.

I really think that bitcoin market is getting bigger. A lot of influential people are getting in to bitcoin and some countries are starting to invest bitcoin. A lot of people expected that it would grow to $5000 before the year ends, however, it happened to soon and it even reached $7000 a month before the year end. So, I think anything is possible with bitcoin.

I agree and share the same optimism for $10K Bitcoin in 2018. The adoption news and rumors are all over the place with Amazon acceptance being the latest one. We need more great news for Bitcoin technical development or acceptance to push this further to $10K. I mean yeah Segwit2X cancelation is good, but as expected it would crash the price because people are (presumably) buying to claim easy free B2X before. We need major technical development update like segwit, hopefully the one that will also solve the high fee issue

Yes I was thinking more towards the end of this year to hit that mark but not too sure now since the fork is not happening but even so the price does not seem to have been hit as hard as I thought it would be, but yes definitely by March I foresee the $10k mark.

If you look at the history of bitcoins from the august and now November is so fast that it is rising. Hence, the four-month wait is so durable and probably above 10k $ the better bitcoins. There is really nothing impossible in the world of bitcoin after all the price touched $7700+ yesterday before retreating back to the level we are at the moment but the possibility of reaching that is what I am most interested in because with the shelving of the idea of fork in the case of SegWit, I dont think there would be any fork happening any time soon which is one of the determinant that pushed the price to an all time high in the first place but at the same time, something drastic might happen that will give much more push than any fork which among will include:

1. The proposed adoption of bitcoin by amazon

2. The various news from countries supporting bitcoin should start materializing

3. Any other great news happening.

Aside that, we might be hovering around but not touching the 10k mark.

Well 10k by march is completely possible or even soon enough we can see a sudden rise in bitcoins prices, just one perquisite is :- everything goes well with segwit2x, and thats in fact very important, the whole community is facing a crisis right now..no one.. knows.. if.. Exactly, the first quarter would be a good time to hit $10K but I seriously doubt that it can be done this year. Except for the CME rumors which have been going for some time and probably why bitcoin price kicks in, I don't see any speculative news that will push the price to go to $10K in December. But we are going to be OK, as long as we are in the positive mode and no attacks or bashed is on our way. The best thing to do is to just hold on our bitcoin because it will close this year at a positive note, then 2018 will be another big year for all of us.

Maybe it will not take so much time because price is changing up or down very fast and long time periods are no longer needed. The question is in what direction will market move and how many forks will be "invented" ,meanwhile that could also influence the price. I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that one bitcoin will be worth $10,000 by March 2018. If you look at what the price was even 12 months ago then a pump to 10k & above doesn’t seem too much of a jump.

Yes this is correct, if we're talking about historical data of the price of BTC it is one of the best investment in the world, but like the on the Taylor's song line "Is is gonna be forever, or its gonna go down in flames", there are strong arguments on what will be the future of crypto, bitcoin is almost a 9 years old technology and we have so much more to improved. Again even if they are forking it its price is still unstoppable. MAybe because it is the original crypto, maybe because it is the best or maybe because of its security. Maybe, maybe not.

I am sure that the current price of bitcoin is only a preparation for the pump. Until the end of November the price will return to its usual boundaries. BCH will never be a competitor for BTC.

The chances are pretty high at this stage and the demand is really going to get pushed up as more people and investors keep stepping in which the upcoming news and developments would really serve as a fuel for that. I am very optimistic about bitcoin hitting that high level even before the end of this year.
