Still only the devs are mining for them.

I looked a bit through the code.. I was thinking the premine was time locked completely, doesn't seem the case ?

https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU/blob/master/src/chainparams.cpp#L502-L503

here is waht suprnova says :

Be aware that there's currently a chain-split happening and suprnova's chain could be "declared" as the wrong chain by the dev-team. However, it's the longest chain so usually it should be okay, it's advisable to not invest in mining until the devs give out an official statement. (Watch Twitter)
UPDATE: It seems our chain is correct.

I'm mining it on btg.pool.sexy....we are a bounce of braves...trying to catch a block...difficulty skyrocketed anyways if the aim is to decentralize small pools are serving this scope...on top of this 0.25% fee is a good thing

I am also on poolsexy, it seems to me the best for now, I have no problems with the miners, I hope in some block soon.

So looks atm it ain't profitable to mine at all using GPU.
Cheesy the price at yobit.net is exactly as ZEC has and the difficulty is almost the same atm... just a bit less than ZEC usually has. And it's just started Roll Eyes nevermind ZEC is NOT profitable at all. There's lots of other options atm

but Zcash is some $1 a day for gtx1060 that's twice less profitable than any recent altcoin out there (INNOVA for example) and I wouldn't ever bother mining Zcash

Your results are correct. It should be more or less 250 ksol/s depending on settings and gpu. The best will be nvidia 1070 (cost to power)

Yes, it is.

And why this new thread for? Is it created by btg team?

Actually, I much curious if btg listed at poloniex or bittrex. Any chances?

I have just under half a Bitcoin Gold and am wondering where is this going to be heading over the coming months? A lot of people say it will fall flat but there are many who support it. Can anyone tell me what is the special element behind Bitcoin Gold that will make it lucrative to hold for a longer time period? What is attractive about it?

I have just under half a Bitcoin Gold and am wondering where is this going to be heading over the coming months? A lot of people say it will fall flat but there are many who support it. Can anyone tell me what is the special element behind Bitcoin Gold that will make it lucrative to hold for a longer time period? What is attractive about it?

Nobody really knows but once other exchanges etc start implementing this then value should pick up I cant see it going down long term
