This is going to be exciting. Most bitcoiners thought this coin as dead but its futures are picking up in exchanges right now with considerable volumes. It's far from dead and if the launch is successful it'd have a sustainable future. Bit of a rushed launch announcement if you ask me though. The devs didn't wait a day or two after the announcement in order to launch the network. Either way, this is currency competition in play.

I'm a bit surprised we aren't seeing many complaints about Bitcoin Gold being premined though. With current prices its developers have secured millions in reserves based on their stats for the number of premined coins. Although a price drop would be expected from the actual launch and mining.

That is true price are seeing appreciation on exchanges already. BTG is entering as important player in this game now even it was not taken serious but people were wrong. I was holding my forked coins and will do for some period to see how dev take the project ahead.

What do you mean there is no wallet hibtc and bitfinex already trading this coin so they must have it implemented (maybe I expressed myself wrong but what I ment is just to be able to generate BTG address) . I'm not talking about a standalone wallet.

Ive not seen anything anywhere on any official channels so yes I would say its 100% fake

The main net code has been merged on github and all builds passed so I would say everything is good to go in just over 15 mins
