If you are feeling lucky you can try gambling with some strategies (but don't get too greedy!). I once made 300000 satoshis from 500 in a day, but then I turned my head to my TV for 5 seconds and lost it all.

Gambling could not be counted as investing as it is "gambling" the risk involve with it is different from investments, you are actually betting on something hoping for your money to double while in investing there is no sure percentage involve or a 49.5% risk for you to double your money. I wouldn't recommend someone trying to increase their money with gambling as you might lose it all in one bet.

The buy and hold strategy is the best approach if you are not an experienced trader.

You subscribe to an exchange (like coinbase, gemini, kraken, etc...), buy some BTC and then the best would be to move them to an hardware wallet (like the ledger nano s). The dollar cost averaging is also a good strategy to split your investment in several weeks/months to minimize the risks.

op is talking about investing and doesnt want to hear any suggestion or other ways to earn a bitcoin. i believe op wants know the ways on how to properly invest his money in bitcoins and all i can say is you  need to follow some basic strategy like buy low sell high in order to achieve the best results. but overall investing or any other forms of money doubler like gambling , trading , mining ,etc are always had a risk because they cannot always assure that you can earn a profit on them due to the fact that cryptocurrency are highly volatile when compared to other forms of invest option like forex or gold .
