Honestly month to month the ecosystem changes, November was a slow month for ICO's (one of the worst preforming months of the year) but maybe it will change in December.

I kind of feel though that the average investor is looking more towards the new rather than investing in December, but with ICO's and Cryptocurrency you don't know.

In December, I think bitcoin will drop their positions ,rest is also necessary . And then after winter the cryptocurrency market will further gain momentum

you have a good list and you need to wait until bitcoin price is stopping at a stable price so the altcoin will increase. but for another altcoin, I see the price is not getting affect from bitcoin price and some of the altcoins is trying to increase too. bitcoin cash still trying to back increase and neo is followed behind the bitcoin cash. golem and bancor are waiting a good moment to increase back so I think, you need to be patient for a while.

You might tell me that NEO is a copy of ETH as well, but at least NEO has a different approach and they try to build an infrastructure completely different than ETH.

December is gonna be sick! I'm telling ya. It's usually the case that when the year closes you see some sort of dramatic changes in the market. There are many projects that are being launched in December to start with (the so called ICO's) and many of the investors that will want to put money into them will have to buy ETH or BTC (depending what the project accepts). This will definitely drive up prices. The main reason the prices will go up though is because we expect some fantastic developments in both Bitcoin and Ethereum, which combined basically dominate the entire crypto market. BTC will start trading a future contrast, which is huge (because ETH will follow in 2018 as well) and ETH is starting to implement their protocol updates which will make the entire network way more attractive than it already is.

Now transferring bitcoins to alts is good idea since the bitcoin price bumped in this moment. We will not be sure that what will be in after a month or with in a week. If you convert half amount of bitcoins you have to alts which have potential means you will find the better again to convert that alts to btc again.
Try to work like this make more money. Every year December shows decent growth especially in the bitcoin price chart. We should wait till January first week to confirm what is stable price here.

Why are you recommending all of the Bitcoin forks? I wouldn't buy any of them if I didn't get some free coins from the fork itself... And BCash I wouldn't even touch with a stick.

well that really depends on what alts he will get because not all alts are risky like etherium therefor its still ok if he put all his eggs in one basket though it is also a smart idea if he can divide his funds and diversify it to some altcoins and bitcoins in order to expect a much better results. @op there were so many upcomming events that will happen on december like forks and price surges for bitcoin and etherium.

I think Neo and Bancor are your best choices. Bitcoin Cash not really IMHO. Possibly Gnosis is good too, but possibly already too expensive, but for the long term, who knows...
