SO its confirmed, i just have reed a post of BigVern (crypsty) on twiter, that they will probably insert VLC on cryptsy next week, friday i thing.. it was posted this morning ( 6 hours ago)

But nor having conetion means I can not send from my desktop or to my desktop. More than tyhat I was soloing about 1200 per day with the pool only getting 23 per hour |

Loads of smaller miners with lots of VC, all out to make as much BTC as they can and as quick as they can.

Yes, the 16 coins/block reward with a 30 second block target and a total minting of just 133 million total coins aims to bring value to the crypto market again. We do not want this coin to be a pump and dump victim.
With the Fair launch Block - Coin Structure of
Block 0-200 = 0 coins
Block 200-400 = 2 coins
Block 400-800 = 4 coins
Block 800-1600 = 8 coins
Blocks from 1601 = 16 coins
we further make sure that no big player can just come in and mine all the coins at once while all others are still getting started.
And we have mentioned the sample .conf file so people can have their .conf and .bat files ready even before the launch and start mining as soon as the client it available for download tomorrow at 9.30PM PDT.
What was the starting difficulty, since 1600 seconds is not really long at all, and many/most crapcoins were more like four blocks per second than one block per second, so maybe 1600 blocks is really closer to 400 seconds than 1600 seconds? is there a plot somewhere showing what fraction of the coins were mined the first minute, hour, day, week, month? -MarkM- |

why it will be a big dump? This one is no worse than others, do you see big dumps to other alt coins? I'd say it's the contrary, the price will stable and even rise, when it hits cryptsy. |

Only 58996 blocks have been mined till now.
58996 - 1600(which were blocks of less than 16 coins per block) = 57396 blocks
So total number of VLC mined = 57396 x 16 = 918336
Plus now we add the first 1600 blocks,
0-400 = 0 coins
401-800 = 2 x 400 = 800 coins
801-1200 = 4 x 400 = 1600 coins
1201-1600 = 8 x400 = 3200 coins
Which is a total of 5600 coins.
so TOTAL VLC = 918336 + 5600 = 923936
Thats even less than 1 Million.
And this is the reason why the price of VLC will be more stable in cryptsy than any other coins.
And because VLC pays only 16 VLC per block, it will start stronger too.
1M coins is not enough to dump and crash the prices. All the coins are distributed across all the miners. THere are no hoarders right now.

could someone post some nodes that are working - adding the ones on the first page is making no difference.
(I have done all the usual fixes - delete blockchain - delete peers.dat - added nodes to config and still no luck)

I'm actually surprised in the sheer number of supporters each scamcoin gets each launch. It's a cycle. Scamcoin gets introduced, newbies latch on, pump, dump, newbies leave this subforum. then of course there's the sharks who profit on the hype.
