The development of bitcoin is indeed not accepted in all countries, many countries which until now still do not know about bitcoin, but for russia, I'm sure one day the Russian government will use bitcoin.

Well, in my own opinion, i thnk this is really possible to happen. Because it is obvious that Russia itself is very fond of the technology but just cannot allow it yet because of all the danger of illegal things being done inside Russia. Or maybe they are just studying the technology and are planning to create their own crypto currency that they, themselves can control and regulate. That is just my speculation though.

We all know that cryptocurrency and Russia have contradictory relationships.

Russia seeking for the way how to regulate cryptocurrency, for example, some of Russians officials claim that bitcoin and cryptocurrency should be considered as "goods" and not a "currency". Also, they banned well known Russian media about cryptocurrency. They still don't want to legalize Bitcoin explaining that this currency is used for money-laundering and illegal business.

On the other hand, there are a lot ICO campaigns in Russia. Almost every week the crypto and blockchain events are organized. And Russian crypto community is quite big.

Do you believe that one day Russian government will legalize Bitcoin and join cryptocommunity?

Yes, I do believe that the Russian government will legalize Bitcoin eventually. They have no other choice unless they want to be like North Korea, isolated from the rest of the world. There is a strong Bitcoin community in Russia and I'm sure some of those guys have ties with the government.

If your Russian ICO has no criminal element then you have nothing to fear, trouble is 99% of all ICO's on earth are SHIT designed to scam pensioners, and GOV if it has one job, its to protect the elderly,  from the young criminals.

Of course the criminals go after the elderly cuz "Thats where the money is".

Yes, i totally agree with this opinion. Not sure about own cryptocurrency for now, but anything is possible in future.
I hope nothing will change their mind and interest for new technologies and they will not forbid cryptos.

If Russia creates and regulates their own cryptocurrency, then what difference does it have than having a regular bank account at a Russian bank? A government created cryptocurrency defeats its own purpose, since people wouldn't be willing to invest in it, especially in a country like Russia where the government can reach everywhere.

ICOs and crypto are very popular in Russia, most of succesfull projects are from Russia so maybe soon this country will become really progressive in this area and will be a 'heart' of crypto and ICO, why not?

Russia is no longer a communist country, it has embraced a bit of capitalism with the government still controlling parts of the economy.At least on paper it's not a communist country anymore, more like a socialist combined with a totalitarian government.

But that aside the major problem for Russia is capital outflow.
This is one of the main reasons one of the biggest country in the world with huge oil gas mineral reserves are struggling to compete with the eastern block in terms of gdp per capita.
And bitcoin is one of the things that make capital movement a piece of pie.
Russia will never support this as it is going to ruin their already crippled economy.

I think both of your might be right. Russia is oligarchic dictatorship but with culturally communist (Putin said that fall of Soviet Union was the worst thing of XX century) attitudes. Just take a look how authorities stick to communist pasts, communists monuments and street names and also criticize other ex-Soviet countries for the process of decommunization.
I think at some moments Russia might pressure more bitcoin and cryptocurrency community, and then lots of crypto-entrepreneurs will ran away (some to Belarus, Ukraine, Baltic states, other and especially those who speak English fluently might end in USA and other countries).
As example you can see the stories of Berezovsky, Khodorkovskiy, and lots of others less famous businessmen.

For the moment, all the governments are more or less chosing either to ignore bitcoin or to make it illegal. It is easier for them, as they are perfectly aware that there are many operations out of their control, yet happening on their territory, allowed by new technologies (not only btc).

At some point, they will no longer be able to ignore it or simply ban it (due to, you know, international operations, vpn and impossible control). Russia will do as the others. Except that, if the Russian community is large enough, they may be able to make it happen soon...
