Glad you guys like the facebook revamp. So does everyone agree then that we put the marketing fund into the devlopment fund and use it all on development?
Type YES or NO and then we can move forward.

Yes, we need to get this going ASAP!  Cool

I like Megafund too.

Now to the second question Wink
I think it is appropriate that because we don't have access to the main site we switch it over to nbk's site (which is upto date). The question is do we keep the .co.nz and direct the dns to him. Or do we just use a redirect to the .eu site?

Please all give your answers so we can move forward.

Thanks for switching over guys...

I really believe we need to keep the original megacoin website until we hear from kimoto.

He is waiting for the next run or the right time.

I say be patient and no moves until we sort out the main things like updating the coin itself.

No worries, the other forum wasn't being used properly anyway. We were all posting stuff that was unrelated to the threads. At least now we are all on one thread and get noticed by other communities.
I currently feel that we should switch to using nbk's updated site until we hear from the doctor. If he needs us to go back to the original site then we will and he will contact me but until then I feel that updated information is better as it shows we are still alive and kicking.
See how the others feel as I can definitely see both sides of the argument. Last time this was brought up I would have been on your side snakey but now I am over waiting.

I know how you feel man, I just think kimoto was so frustrated with all the questions and decided to keep silent till the time is right.

Lets see what the other members think?

The benefit of switching to a site that we can update is that we can offer services and sites links on our site for intergration on their exchange or payment processor. I have contacted a few today that will be beneficial and offered them a link on our site in return. So will see if anyone takes us up on the offer.

Looks like I just got us a listing on a NZ based exchange and world wide marketplace https://twitter.com/mega_coin/status/604874407677292545. I did promise a listing on our website so I think we need to move to nbk's site for the time being so we can move forward.
Question still stands though as I would like an agreement. If we don't do it though we will be losing a listing.

I dont think thats a good idea without a vote.

People have invested a lot of money into megacoin because they believe in kimoto, thats why 80 - 100 people log in on a daily basis to see if kimoto has added anything new. I dont think this decision can be made without a vote, the last time everyone rushed into changing the coinmarketcap website link to .EU it got reversed back to the .NZ website because thats what the members wanted.

I say wait guys, be patient because we are still ahead of most of these other coins.

Keep megacoin in its original form until we get an answer from kimoto. Him logging in is showing us his still around and still working on things to benefit megacoin.

I don't think Cryptex have aggreed to intergrate Mec. When they said they would show us love they just retweeted it and added us as a friend. Hold off on adding them.

We are not doing it without a vote. Still waiting for other members, however worst case scenario if we did change is that kimoto contacts me and we switch it back then he adds all the updated links. By leaving it as the old site we can achieve nothing.

Any websites that have a rent service?

Maybe us members can rent it together, I am willing to put up money.

Anyone else?

Just checked it, max rent is like 6 days or less depending on what you choose.

Any other websites?

Also what kind of hash rate would do the job we need without killing us?

by the way our "views" page (188573) already a massive difference, keep an eye on that guys.

with a standard hashrate of min 1 ghs we could prevent massiv multipool attacks. currently ~ 60 mhs and i´m not able to rent something. Cry

https://www.betarigs.com/ seems to be good, too.

Together we can do anything, keep searching and if you find something send all the members a private message on the megacoin.nz forum so we can all chip in

I do not think abandoning the .co.nz site is a smart idea. There is no reason we can't keep both sites. We should make it clear that the .eu site is more current on some things, but the original site still has a lot of good information. In my opinion we don't want to re-brand Megacoin.

Alright so thats two votes for and two votes against. I don't think it is a rebranding so much but more of a temperary fix. It is hard to do anything when we can't update the site.

P.S whos got a dev in mind? NBk you good to go?

To me, getting the keys to the castle, and focused dev efforts are currently the most important things.

https://forum.megacoin.co.nz/index.php?topic=3643.msg17257#msg17257

If we cannot get the keys to the existing web castle in a reasonable amount of time, it's time to let it go in my opinion.  Each day that passes results in further deterioration and a degraded public image.  As much as I would like to hold on to all of what is currently out there for historic reasons, I clearly recognize itscrazy's point and the growing community consensus that waiting and hoping are not going to solve the mounting issues.

NBK and cgminer-o, if willing, deserve full dev rights if you ask me.  They have been committed long-term, and have the willingness to stay committed and technical skills to prevent a future repeat of what MEC is currently experiencing.  This sort of attitude and commitment are exactly what MEC needs to succeed as an alt.

I appreciate and respect all of the work that Kimoto provided to move MEC this far, but not being there for MEC when it is in clear danger is unacceptable and something that everyone should now acknowledge so that improvements can occur.
