ETH is the best choice for long-term investment.
Yes, I also think so, it is most powerful in the market. People using ETH after bitcoin. I know ETH trade also profitable.
I am also a ETH traders. I like both Short and long term. LTC also good. Because it is almost good altcoin.

I believe that investing in the ethereum is the best thing you can think of at the moment, because it has huge potential and now you can buy it at a best price  Wink

ETH is mainly used as a transaction's fee's (gas) for erc20 tokens and for creating new ICO. LTC is mainly used for money trsnsfers. In this year eth will have serious competitors like neo, eos, nem and ada. Ltc have only omg ccompetitor but we don't now when omisego will work perfect, maybe in this year, maybe no. So, ltc is you choice

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks
Both of these coins are perfect coin in my opinion because the main thing that we can see in both of these coins are technology that they are using and also there is another factor that is high potential and high support of the buyers in these two coins .
If you will forcely say to choose either of them then my main move will be towards the etherium and after that I would like to suggest litecoin because litecoin is that coin which have the same technology that bitcoin have and also it is old coin , so we can expect that with both of these coins we can make better profit by hold long term .
But features of the etherium coin are more than litecoin , so better for the etherium and after that litecoin .

Definitely, ETH because Ethereum is a very good coin and most of the new coins which are launching almost all of them are using the blockchain of Ethereum and because of that the value of Ethereum keeps on increasing so its best to choose Ethereum out of these.

This could lead to a bad reputation of altcoin since the founder himself sold all his litecoin. So, obviously those who already know about these may seems to started to have doubts investing in this coin. But still, nothing can really determined the outcome of crypto since it is already circulating in the market and definitely it has still a chance to grow. In terms of popularity,  I think it's pretty obvious that ETH is the answer. So, I am still in favor of these two good coins to invest it in longer term because crypto is getting more useful as the years are passing by.

Yes, it is more reasonable to split 50/50 between LTC and ETH. Both altcoins are very attractive for investment  Wink

I like both altcoins but i think Ethereum has a better future in the long run. Ethereum is much more popular than other altcoins and i believe it will be very successful this year. So i recommend Holding this coin longer.

I would say Ethereum for longer term, since they are constantly upgrading and coming up with new ideas on how to update, secure, make faster the Ethereum blockchain. It's very popular and it's the most favourable of the two coins.

For long term investment I prefer ETH, not LTC which is not good for future investment, but everyone is very different, maybe for now I prefer to choose ET for long term investment in the future.

For the long term, the best option is eth.  I do not advise you to take risks and invest in ltc.

I think ethereum and litecoin are equally good for future prospects but I prefer to keep ethereum in my wallet in because for more ethereum enthusiasts than litecoin and because it is also now a new token on using blockchain from ethereum so it is most likely for the future the price of this ethereum will be expensive may be translucent at the price of $ 1500 / ethereum in the next year.

I trust more ETH. With LTC we can see several tricks. For example Litepay. Or summer growth on nothing. I use LTC for transfer between exchanges. Of for withdraw

I prefer ETH over LTC for long term investment. There are many ETH tokens in the network and investors buy ETH to investment in ICO project. Hence, there are always demand to push ETH price.

Too bad NEO is not included in the question as I would put NEO above all other alts.

Without a doubt, Ethereum has much more prospects in the future than LTC. It would be prudent to invest in both coins, but focus on ETH.
