ETH or LTC long term?

LTC is not bad idea but I prefer to trust ethereum. Even now when I see that price is not so great I am holding it and waiting for better time

Naturally, there are many good cryptos that exist now and that will grow in several months but the guy wants to choose between LTC and ETH. My advice is Ethereum.

the comparison of these two coins I think is not so big. its development has been very good in recent years. but, I prefer to have ETH compared to LTC. besides because of its potential, I think the most sensitive in price increases is ETH. so, having more ETH will be better.

For me LTC is just like a replica of bitcoin and it wont go further unlike ethereum its the king of altcoin and many good project start with their smart contract so comparing the both is not necessarily a big question because most investor will chose ethereum over to litecoin .

I am sure that the future of ETH will continue to improve compared to LTC, we can see this trend from the number of tokens that are successful at ITO and if counted then more than 30 top 100 in coinmarketcap are ethereum based tokens.

until now ethereum was indeed a very good choice for investment, but if the team does not cope with the task of providing quality updates to Constantinople, then the situation can change drastically. Already today, migration of projects to other platforms has been noticed.

Ltc is a replica of Bitcoin. it has no other features except as a currency. Ether invented the smart contract. it is widely used in ALT fundraising. the ERC20 protocol is used by many coins. i will choose ETH. it is more promising.

in any case, we will have to wait for the results of the update of Constantinople to see real prospects and physio for the near future. For some reason, the team has quieted down and there are no announcements to calm down a few negative statements about the erc-20 platform.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus? 

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Well, In long term both coins are potentially attractive to investors. But as others, I fully agree that ethereum from a fundamental point looks a lot stronger. I think 70/30 would be a perfect investment ratio.

actually I think both coins are good, you can invest in both if necessary.
but I prefer ETH because I am used to transactions using ETH and trading using ETH trading, and very rarely or almost never use LTC.

LTC is stuck to lite version of Bitcoin motto. Ethereum is being actively refined and updated and Ethereum is the prime fuel for ICOs.
Both coins are great and still profitable. But I believe Ethereum would be more beneficial than Litecoin in the long run.

both of these coins have a good market, their markets are running well with the support of investors. without development but if investors still believe in the coin market I don't think it will be a problem at their market prices. but indeed ethereum will definitely gain the trust of investors and their communities, because their own platform is still developing nowadays.

Ethereum is good for holding in long term because the fundamental Ethereum are good.
but for mid term Litecoin is great because as i remember in august Litecoin are halving and reduced block reward and this point can make the price grow up significally
