Not all altcoin are profitable there are so many emerging altcoins now in crypto market cap, I stored altcoin ethereum to my wallet I know this altcoin have a potential to grown up like bitcoin did. Bitcoin is my most precious crypto coins I stored and invested this and lock up in my wallet for the better future.

Bitcoin is more safer as compare to altcoins,its been there for quite a long time now and is growing .on the other altcoin are still kind of new ,they boost up to rapidly and same trend is followed when their value increases ,altcoins are more profitable as of now,but it bring lot of risk with it too.Treat bitcoin as an investment,so it can provide profits later in life and before trading altcoins,understand the market and its trends.

The safetyness of your investment depends on how you are going to handle your wallet or your earnings. But if you will really secure your wallet, then probably investing in Bitcoin is a lot safer than investing in Altcoin because there are many technologies supporting Bitcoin.
Bitcoin and Altcoin is both profitable but in a different way. Bitcoin is for long term investment while Altcoin is for short term investment.
We needn't have to argue about which of them is profitable here because bitcoin has shown time and time again that it is more volatile than the altcoins and has therefore the tendency to grow with a bigger margin. It has withstood the test of time and so can be said to be safer than the newer coins which are all looking upto bitcoin. They are both safe and profitable. But interms of popularity bitcoin is gonna win, also since bitcoin is the first digital currency created, so it is much known and many user until now. Although there is a little problem about its stability in price they are still using it because they believe they can earn, even they know its risky. |

Bitcoin has a high value as of now. So, the rising room for bitcoin is limited as compared to altcoins that are priced in cents.

Well if we are talking about safety wise all the cryptocurrency are a bit risky to invest in some more than others, but this risk comes at the cost of profit, investing in cryptocurrency espascially in bitcoin can get you some really good and fast profit, so if you are asking which is better to invest in for profit and with less risk i would say bitcoin, because the other coins people only use them as backdoors to bitcoin they mine and try to get ethereum or litecoin or whatever other cryptocurrency there is just to exchange them to bitcoin because it is starting to be hard to get, but all in all cryptocurrency is becomining more and more sort of the new era investment, because people know that soon papaer moeny will disapear and digital money will take place. |

Safe and profitable never go in the same sentence, if you want something safe then it is not going to be as profitable, and if you want something profitable then you are going to assumes huge risks, if you want to be safe then invest in bitcoin and while you can get profits you are not going to get the profits you could get by investing in an ICO but you do not get the huge risks either. |

Really depends on how fast or how much do you need the money. But in my opinion, bitcoin investments are for long term. When I mean long term, it's really gonna take long, about 1 year for a really good profit. If a short term investment is what you're looking for, alt coins gives profit on a very fast scale (during and after ICO) but the pay is a bit low. |

If you look at this years returns, then you can find that both of them have been profitable. BTC has returned close to 750% returns till now (if you add up free BCH and BTG coins, then it is close to 900%) and with Ethereum, the ROI till now has been more than 3,000%. The trick is to diversify your portfolio and to hold on to your coins. |

It is still profitable to invest in bitcoin because its price will still grow given the demand and attraction it is getting now. Yes there are others who would be skeptic in investing due to its high price but if you still have money you can afford to lose then invest in it. It is a high risk high reward investment. However, if you invest purely in bitcoin then don't expect that the value of your holdings will increase immediately in a short time because it is already high but instead you can invest in altcoins that has still low value because there is a room for more growth like it would increase tenfolds in months. The combination of both would be best to increase the number of your bitcoin and the value of it as well. |

Hello fam, you might see many answer here, but the decision maker is still you. For me there are rules before you invest to anything, including bitcoin and other coins, such as : 1. Only afford what you can lose 2. Learn about the investment. Just that 2 reasons, for me, that i need to apply to all my investment things. On how you are going to invest, it is up to you. But, for me personally, i would love to invest all that to bitcoin, because i want it as a long time investment, because bitcoin is the first crypto currency and the trends of bitcoin is always good, although it has some down, but somehow it always come back to a better price, even higher, and it already survive all manipulated attack before. And in my opinion, Alt coins is great if you want to do some trading, and if you good at it, you can make profit in a short time. |

if we talk about which is safer between bitcoin and altcoin, the answer is bitcoin because its less volatile, Bitcoin Volatility is almost decreasing every year and now it's almost as volatile as oil. But the altcoin is the most profitable if you predict it right altcoin you can get a massive amount of money, but yeah when there's is a high reward there is always a high risk.
