Hello family, I need to take an informed decision on this issue

With the present challenges with the blockchain technology and its present congestion ,

Is it still safe, wise and as profitable as before to start a fresh bitcoin investment?

I'm thinking that investing in a number of the other several altcoins might be much better

Pls I need your thoughts and opinions on this....thanks
I advise you to keep investing in bitcoin, because there are some advantages of bitcoin instead of alcoin, that bitcoin is more stable than alcoin. The cause of stability is the increasing number of bitcoin users from time to time

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Yes it is still profitable to invest in bitcoin but it is not for short term holding it is required to hold it for long term to have more profit if you believe.
Although there are altcoins that good for investment too more profit will come depends on coins and time frame price in the market.

I think you will have the opportunity to have a big advantage if you invest Bitcoin.
Choose the right time, when Bitcoin drops.
Wait some time, keep an eye on the Bitcoin value development information and when the price has gone up you can sell it.
If you are investing with another Altcoin, I think the value of altcoin is affected by bitcoin.

I think the most beneficial is Bitcoin.
This is a coin that is highest in value than any other coin.
I suggest you choose bitcoin because you will have a chance to get the bigger profit.

Despite the fact that this message was written almost half a year ago, almost nothing has changed. Bitcoin is good for long-term investments. This coin has good support. Altcoin can either grow up sharply or fall as well. So everyone chooses to their taste.

Bitcoin is definitely the only and unique choice in the market with high volatility with profitability created. Bitcoin is particularly suitable for long-term holding plans. Altcoin tends to be more balanced and less volatile except ETH has the highest volatility and growth. With that trend, altcoin is exploited as a form of business that is trading day or short term. The issues to be considered before investment are knowledge and experience, along with funding conditions for selection and proper planning.

Long Term: Bitcoins
Short Term: Altcoins

Bitcoins is the first cryptocurrency, and that makes it the most trusted and used amongst all the other altcoins, so its the most safe to get hold of. However, since the price is so high right now, don't expect it to increase tenfold in the next few years as it would be a little unrealistic, but possible though.

Altcoins, or Initial Coin Offerings (ICO), can have potential if researched upon, which makes it more profitable, however, there are many scamcoins revolving about ICOs and altcoins, making it more risky than having Bitcoin.

It is up to you, but if you are new to BTC, I suggest getting some Bitcoin first. Smiley

I agree with this. The most safest coin to invest is bitcoin because of its popularity and being the pioneer of all coins, it has been through many situations but still survive. ICOs short term investment is right though. There are some news stated that some ICO is just doing good for a month and later on little by little they escape. If you invest here in short term then it is just safer than other.
Ico has too many risks around although I know that this field can earn profits terrible but I still do not dare to participate, it is similar to gambling, losing money will be permanent and never go back. I prefer to invest in bitcoin or altcoin but mostly I choose altcoin because some altcoin can say is very stable, safe and its value increases over time, Bitcoin is also good but I do not have money to buy too much, so the profit is also quite low, choosing bitcoin can hardly grow my capital quickly, altcoin is more reasonable

if you need safety. BITCOIN is the first choice. Because BITCOIN is the number one coin of the cryptop market. call it another way. BITCOIN is king. But the safety will not be 100% sure. Because there are some bad cases like bitcoin bubbles. And if you want to make more profit. You should invest in Altcoin. Altcoin can grow very quickly in a short time. by shark pumping.

If safety is what you want, you can stick with BTC. However, if profit is what you are after, there are several altcoins you can look into.

Of course BTC is extra-stable in comparison with the alts - so there is no other option, if you want stability.

What do you think about Lithuanian ICOs? What your experiences investing into them? I’m following one ICO (welltrado.io) and it’s in progress. They are selling tokens pretty slowly do you think they can reach a hard cap?

Thank you for your answers!

Safer? Probably BTC (although nothing in crypto is safe). More profitable? Definitely alts. Most profitable? Shitcoins, but they are the riskiest as well, if you don't know what to look for in them.

Bitcoin and altcoins are both decreasing price and because many people as of now are pnic selling their coins because of the news that the crypto are bad investment. But if you want to gain more profit much better if you invest your money to altcoin because they hve possibility once bitcoin decreasing deep the altcoins probably will increase and thag's good to us. But better if the both coin increasing again because we know most of the altcoin are base to bitcoin price and once the price of fhe bitcoin decrease some of them are decreasing not all coin but they are affected too. For sure if the bitcoin die it taked few months before the altcoin recover because some of them are die also and become very cheap price..

i chose bitcoin. Bitcoin is easily your safest bet for a long term investment but altcoins can of course return higher profits if you choose carefully. But we are still in April, meaning it is too early to say which coin is better than the other because we still have a long way to go in this year 2018. good luck with your investment

it's hard to say. Usually once bitcoin takeoff the altcoin do same too.
But if bitcoin have huge pump all altcoin will dump hard as history time.
you should choose both of them depend on the market signals

Bitcoin is an integral part of any portfolio. I think you need to have not only bitcoin, but also altcoins in your portfolio. At the same time, the portfolio should consist only of 10% of bitcoin.

Divide it like 25% BTC, 55% alts from top 50, rest for new coins where potential can be seen.
