Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is safer or more profitable?

i believe it depends on the how you want to earn profit, because if you choose a safe and long term profit, then using Altcoins will be much better way, because altcoins are new born recently, so they still have a long time to rise. but choosing a short term profit, trading bitcoin will be better because bitcoin fluctuative all the time, it will be the good chance to trade for traders.

I believe watching numbers, that ETH is more stable and can keep better the price at least right now. But January has always been statistically a low-value month for crypto. Generally, prices will raise up the end of February.

I would choose bitcoin, because its more safer and more profitable especially today that the price is continue to increases. Most of people prove that bitcoin is always best in terms of investment, that it gives good profit to the investors. If you want to earn easily profit invest on bitcoin, that best for short term and long term investment. We know that the price of bitcoin today is good and high, compare to altcoins. I would recommend you to try another cryptocurrency, there are many that can give you good resources of use and greater profits of utility. For example Ethereum, litecoin, ripple, are cryptocurrencies that do not have much difference with the btc exchange platform, and it is not necessary to invest in large quantities.

I'm thinking that investing in a number of the other several altcoins might be much better

I think you should ahead an invest in several bitcoins. The website coinmarketcap.com shows detailed information on majority of the cryptocurrencies out there. My advice is to spread your investment across a number of them. The reason? because at least 3 -5 of them will be major players at some point, just like the dollar, pound, euro, Yen are at the moment. We clearly suspect that crypotcurrency will be the leading payment system at some point, but we don't know which will be the leading one just yet. So spread them, and wait out which one does best at the given time. The truth is that is it most likely much cheaper to invest now than later.

I think Bitcoin is more safe than altcoins. Even if the price can drop to 0 in a second theoretically, practically it won't. Bıt for Altcoins it's hard to say. But on the other hand Altcoins have more potential, so I think they are more profitable.

Well it depends on how much are you will to invest. If you have a large capital and for long term investment bitcoin is the best choice for you. It is because bitcoin price is more stable than the price of altcoins.  If you have a small capital and for short term investment I recommend you to invest in the altcoins. You can earn more income or profit in the altcoins because it is growing fast. It is more profitable than the bitcoin if compare in short term. But if you compare them in the long term, bitcoin is more profitable than the altcoins.

Bitcoins and altcoins are both profitable and they both have different potential in the market. You can always invest on either both of the coin because it will give you more profit if you have a huge amount of capital. The best thing to do is research for a reliable coin that can consistently increase its value at a shorter time because that's how you are going to make profit from your investment.

altcoins that can come into use by institutions and governments to improve their facilities will continue to rise such as ripple, IOTA, golem... These are few altcoins that have specific use which will be quite much significant in the future. so i would suggest to keep money in good alts rather than bitcoin.

If you want a quick profit - then altcoin, and if a long then bitcoin

As of November/December 2017, the bitcoin is safer and more profitable than any coin while since early January 2018 the Ethereum is growing consistently. At the current time, the Ethereum price is more stable and profitable compared to bitcoin. But we are still in January, meaning it is too early to say which coin is better than the other because we still have a long way to go in this year 2018.

Exactly, this is not the right time to decide but looking for a certain opportunity it could be great if we just invested some on altcoins. Considering that altcoins price are consistenly moving than of bitcoin, so therefore it could make us chances to generate profit from here, and that's exactly we've looking for(more profit).

specifically what altcoins? You know altcoins is just a branch of cryptocurrency and it does compose of a wide array of coins. bitcoin is not also suitable for trading rather it is only good for investment purposes as it its value is verry unstable and tends to fluctuate all the time. but overall altcoins and bitcoins are both have risk , they also both profitable as long as you know how to manage them properly.  In my case i only own bitcoins because i dont have a capital to buy altcoins , i also find it risky to join a bounty campaign That pays in altcoin as most of them didnt pay me on the past.

In my own perpective, having both is more safer and profitable. The reason why is that you can alternate them to earn more. As the bitcoin price decreases, the altcoins increases.
So, it is better to have them both. Playing safe is better than a risk taker if you are a beginner.

Well it is your own decision that how much you want to buy and how much you want to buy altcoins but mate it is not good to divide your all income among them I think it is good to sue only one, that one is bitcoin for sure, it is hard to get profit with bitcoin if you are using trading because it has risk to use bitcoin trading, in trading you will get fast profit but it happens very rare so bitcoin is god to use as an investment.

If you need to profit then long term investment bitcoin is better than altcoin and short term investment altcoin. But not all altcoin. You need to choose potential and good altcoin for profit. Bitcoin is a stable coin and good coin. So bitcoin is safer than altcoin.

I think that both bitcoins and altcoins prices are dependent upon each other as whenever bitcoins suffers From a drop other coins also drops.Both bitcoins and altcoins are equally risky to invest as no one can predict when will coins go up or down.Having both can be good as both are increasing with a great rate.

Both bitcoins and altcoins have the same potentials to give good gains. Bitcoin is more expensive than altcoins, so with the same amount of money you could buy more altcoins. But the profit could be approximately the same, unless you buy lots of a very cheap altcoin that rises a few thousand percent. So, it depends on how smart you trade.
