Bitcoin Silver Fork - December

I wonder why there is always such a hardfork if bitcoin is really stable for a long long time. Does the alt coins that came from bitcoin's blueprint do a significant function of which bitcoin does not? I would really be glad if this upcoming bitcoin silver hardfork will show to us why a hardfork is really needed in the side of bitcoin.

BTC has too many bifurcations, one BCH one BTG and one BCD. Now split a BIG? What is the case, bifurcation of the BTC really okay? It's not yet necessary to see the need for such a fork, for the entire BTC community 2017 is too messy, who is really BTC? I can not tell, but the price of BTC at the very beginning shows everything. Only continue to hold BTC, will get the maximum benefit.

2017 is messy for bitcoin! All sort of fork! The major fork however has been successful despite outrage and dislike! Forking the bitcoin has been  a blessing after all. It has create environment that push bitcoin price in positive direction. Any fork coming out does not bother me anymore!

Is this for real? People were joking about bitcoin silver and Bitcoin bronze after the BTG fork, bit are we seriously getting a bitcoin silver. So many forks just destroys the main aim of the forks, it just creates a new altcoin with 'bitcoin' in its name. And IMO I don't think this is serious, even BTG was not serious enough, and 2x was canceled, don't think this fork will even happen.

Got to say, I agree 100 % with the opinions stated above ^^^. Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin bronze. There's no point to all these. Bitcoin Cash actually had a reason to exist and might actually take down BTC. These other coins are just greedy people trying to make some dough

I think bitcoin really does not need a fork in December. Current bitcoins are stable after 2x segwit stops. There is no reason to continue Fork bitcoin in the present moment. I think it will also fail like segwit.

For me nothing special because I will still love Bitcoin though had to expect another free money hope to have Bitcoins on my wallet before the fork. I think there would be another all time high happening during that time and same as usual Alts will bleed to death again. Yes of course it has the chance to skyrocket just like other coins on the market. For me forks are only forks it may affect Bitcoin a little something like a confusion on the community but that will never bring Bitcoin down as a deadly threat to the market I mean FUD is more deadly than hard forks.

Can't be bothered with all that crap with something "Bitcoin" in their name coming out. The 2 major events are done, that was Bitcoin Cash and Segwit2x, the latter a none event. I've dumped the Gold crap and I could not care less for any more shitcoins coming out to make fast money.

Exactly but people really can't even accept the fact bitcoin is not decentralised, anonymous and nothing it claims to be, block chain will face some trouble in ,2018 simply because it is time for it to truly show what is capable instead of all these promises and unproven bullshit it has given over the years. If it's really our2.0 version of our  financial system it better be implemented accordingly and shit has to start moving on it not just being stated as a possibility for the future. People think Alts piggyback ride bitcoin but what about bitcoin piggyback riding blockchain?

If true and if it is ascertained, then it would be a good situation to see the bitcoin increase and many people will start investing again in to receive the bitcoin silver for free.
But that's confusing, I do not know why they chose the "silver" bitcoin that's weird because we already have a kind of silver bitcoin

these are going to be "joke-forks" when random idiots start creating different versions of the same thing just like how they did with thousands of altcoins. it is a very simple process of copy pasting code, but the idiots think if they copy bitcoin they can become rich!

we should get ready for a wave of 1 satoshi worth forks in the near future and all of it is thanks to bitcoin cash because before that fork nobody even thought about doing something like this.

we can at least be sure that soon all of this will fade away just like how shitcoins did.

I tend to blame bitcoin gold rather than bitcoin cash, bitcoin cash is a project that has a different vision than the devs about bitcoin and we must respect that even if we do not agree, but bitcoin gold was a joke and now everyone is realizing they are making a lot of money and have decided to join the party and are trying to become rich as well by making all those forks.

Totally agree. This will just be another alt trading on the name of bitcoin. They are getting more and more ridiculous. Seems like there is a new fork everyday, and no valid reason for the fork either, just a money grab.

Ah not this bull shit again. Clearly people are only confusing bitcoin with the various alts having bitcoin as it's predecessor for example, bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, now bitcoin silver. Especially new comers are finding it difficult to figure these things out and understanding the concept of bitcoin and these forks will be a difficult task for them. There were not rumors on bitcoin diamond or some sort of thing after the suspension of the November fork. Sad thing is no matter how many number of forks take place they aren't helping much to improve the standards in the community and is leading to absolute scam in some places and hell these codes are copy paste, so better not get involved much in this .
