You have a very interesting answer. Bitcoin is traded. It is like a commodity. If it makes a profit that matches your expectations, you have the right to sell it. But now it seems that purchasing power is bigger than selling. There are many people who want to own a bitcoin. Thus bitcoin prices have increased

People sell bitcoin because they want money to  buy some daily needs like food medecine and other needs .Sometimes we want  to hold our bitcoin until the price high but we have any kind of responsibilities  in our life  and any kind of problem also thats why we cannot  hold our bitcoin long.But others they hold their bitcoin until the price is good .

In my opinion when asked "I would sell all my bitcoins if…" answer from an speculation standpoint and look at the near future (maybe not more than one year) and say we will sell out bitcoin.
on the other hand a lot of it is because of the bitcoin price history . many are expecting another rise (pump) to the moon and after that they expect that history repeats itself which means another crash! as the result they will consider selling at high prices to gain this profit and get out before the crash.

but what you are saying is a scenario in which bitcoin price actually goes up and not just get pumped to the moon. in that case i personally don't see myself even considering selling my bitcoin because it would be the most valuable thing in the world!

It is just an Investment and its always better to hold it, but in case you need money urgently then you can sell it but keep holding as first priority because bitcoin will rise upto $20k by the end of 2018.

Everyone who have bitcoins would surely prefer to hold it and treat it as their investment. However there are instances in life that pushes us (btc users) to sell or to convert our btc to fiat. Its better if we still have emergency fund so we will not be tempted to convert our btc.

Its sad to hear that your country forbids the opportunity on bitcoin. I think the average bitcoiner that holds and sells is 25/75 ,  75 in favor to those who hold. The government always forbids the use and play bitcoin so that it can not grow fully potential in my place. Surely it remains an advantage if there is a transaction rotation for bitcoin in my country to live.

Most people will sell their bitcoin if they get profit. If they buy high and the price down after,  i think most of them will just hold it and waiting for the price go back and sell in profit.

Selling Bitcoin is normal thing if the holders or traders feel its time to sell.
I know how difficult it is to be in country that is greatly base on paper money, government is still skeptical to bitcoin same here in our country

At this moment bitcoins' value is unpredictable , suddenly it rises then with just an hour slowly falls.As a bitcoin holder, the high pump of bitcoins' value can really attract us to sell it to gain more profit and some consider this moment as harvest time. i think some people got panic because sometimes theres a lot of  negative news about bitcoins and some people need moneyt so thats why they need to sell their bitcoins but for me its better to hold your bitcoins because if you hold your bitcoins you will get more money in the future .
