Why people sell bitcoins?

Well ideally bitcoin is a means of investment, but if you really need the money for whatever reason, you have to sell the coins to get some sort of fiat currency back.

I'm a Newbie.My opinion is if you will sell your Coins and want to Re-buy the later.that's not a good idea

some bitcoin holders do sell their bitcoins for fiat or exchange for alts especially after the segwit which just happened few moments ago , this will give effect to bitcoin price to fell but once that happen so many people will buy back some bitcoins just to enjoy the profit of the pump of the bitcoin price. this happens all the time

I think it is better if you will not be using bitcoin since you said that the government forbids the use of bitcoin, it other words, they banned it in your country.

People sell their bitcoins because they need money or they want to get their profits out of their saved bitcoin.

every people sell their bitcoin at different different situation . Most of the people sell their bitcoin when the price of bitcoin will reach maximum price. Some people sell their bitcoin when their is need of urgent money. People sell their bitcoin when their is drop in the price of bitcoin is take place. To full fill their dream people also sell the bitcoin to complete their dream.

people sell bitcoin, because for profit, or  they need to sell. sell bitcoins is part of the market. here in venezuela here in venezuela use bitcoin so can store value due hiperinflation so people use it and sell it due a necesity.

two words "country ban" some country thinks that bitcoin is illegal so they banned it and some people needs profit in everyday life so they sell it just to have money
