ETH and BTC shares the same problem which are small blocksize, slow transaction confirmations, and congested network if i were choosing between the two i would rather choose BTC,because ETH is more congested than BTC's price.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

As for me, these are the two most important cryptocurrencies at the moment. I like eth more, but I also keep btc in my wallet. The outlook for both coins is very good.
My portfolio is 70% eth / 30% btc.

I am holding both of them, but currently BTC price is very high so I can't easily buy more everytime, I focus more with Ethereum, because it have good price and it is a lot cheaper than BTC nowadays, but it have very promising potential, and we predict that its price will go to moon in the few next years.

Holding bitcoin or ethereum is a must if you must see a significant increase and profit in your portfolio. Currently bitcoin ethereum is known as cryptocurrency leader and I will be holding both until my target price!

I hold both, but of course I hold more Bitcoin than Ethereum. I actually started to compare my portfolio earnings with the performance of ETH and BTC that I initially had before investing in altcoins with them. This has shown me that I overall lost out in comparison to ETH and BTC, so for 2018, I decided to keep on holding more percentages of my portfolio in BTC and ETH. As I value the "dont put all eggs in one basket" rule, I will stick to holding both BTC and ETH!

Both coins are good. These are two established market leaders. They have different tasks, but if you consider them as a long-term investment is a good idea, the main thing is not to buy high)
Plus it is convenient that there are trade pairs to ETH, if BTC  is going to correction for example.

I prefer to hold Ethereum because the price is growing rapidly.

The better to hold Ethereum, It is already gaining popularity and is used specially in ICO. I think Ethereum will rise up to 1000$ soon.

Between BTC and ETH , I will go with ETH.
I like that coin a bit more than BTC.
And BTC needs a bit fixing in the fees , so yea.

I see a constant need for both, so I currently hold both Bitcoin and Ethereum.  Bitcoin will always be the most used cryptocurrency and holding Ethereum is good due to the many ICO's that require them.  I would also recommend holding fiat in case the price of either dips and you'll have the funds to pick more up.

The recent bitcoin price volatility is particularly large, but the price of eth has been very stable, you choose to buy eth or bitcoin?
 Tongue Tongue Tongue
I always chose to hold bitcoin than ethereum because bitcoin price changed rapidly ober the years so I decided to hold more bitcoins. If bitcoin price pump the altcoin price goes dump immediately so the situation of the price is always depend on the bitcoin price. Good to hold is Bitcoin for now.

BTC - store of value and ETH- platform with big organizations behind it and dApps building on it. 2018 will be a exciting year for Ethereum with all the icos coming live with their products which will see many use cases of ETH popping up.

it's better to keep in both currencies, before the portfolio was more bitcoin, now the preponderance is more on the air, 30% bitcoin, 40% ether and the rest is the other violas

ETH is more stable than BTC. But people hold investment equally in BTC. ETH doesn't fluctuate like BTC do. Also you can hold in Litecoin. I'd personally choose BTC to hold.

While both are similarly engaging, they may fill two unique needs over the long haul. Bitcoin will be more similar to what gold is today as it's stage can't be utilized for most for all intents and purposes engaging things like exchanges because of high expenses. Then again, ETH has an extremely adaptable stage that can without much of a stretch be consolidated into doing numerous down to earth things. For example, most new coins embrace the ETH blockchain because of its minimal effort, adaptability and differing security alternatives. As I would like to think, claim a touch of each will be the best wager.
