how to distinguish which airdrop is good and which is dodgy?

I have looked at the airdrop list and I see some people mentioned about legit ones and other airdrop.
I know there are many many airdrops come everyday. So I really wanna know how to distinguish good airdrops from the bad one.
Anyone could help me?
PS. I don't know if it is a stupid question. if it is, please forgive me, I am new in this area.

That's wrong. I mean, real airdrops that just give you some coins - sure, you can only win nothing or gain something. Yet there are such 'airdrops' that ask you to send them some coins in advance which they will return later or something. Obviously, they don't, so you just lose your money. Others ask you to provide private keys and for some reason people really do that. So, OP, just participate in airdrops that don't require any of your own investments, passwords or private keys and it's gonna be alright.

Fully agree. But if you want to be sure about the airdrop you should be able to make research about the project. I don't think that you should make it in details to take part at the airdrop but anyway it would be helpful for you

Honestly, Airdrops can only determined after the event. Most of them requires more technical steps to get a portion of it but that doesn't mean most of them are dodgy. Airdrops are one of the ways to distribute tokens in a minimum of time and their intention is to know their ICO and invite you to be their investor but most of the time that's not the case because in this forum everyone wants to have tokens and sell them right when they hit crypto-exchange.
To distinguish which one is promising and has future and which one is scamy dodgy then we have to make some small efforts to check some details.
In my experience, Airdrops that are managed or introduced by Newbie and Junior Members has a big chance to be scam, ranking up an account for a small period of time like 6 weeks is as easy to scam other members.
Full, Seniors, Hero and Legendary Members are the most trusted in terms of promoting Crypto-currency within the forum.
And do some little research about an ICO outside the forum and Youtube can be the most source to figure out and if they are promising or dodgy.

Indeed, participating on airdrops will risk nothing but wasting time and both are actually tolerable rather than doing stupid things.
In my experience, Airdrops that thread started by Newbie and Junior Members are more likely a scam because they are just trying to trick us.

I usually do not apply for airdrops which ask for so many details, personal info and sending coins as proof. I rarely do apply for airdrops which ask you to download wallets. Something malicious can infect your pc and cause problem.

First you need to differentiate real airdrop from bounties or ICO. Lately everything is called an airdrop, but ask for money or provide a long list of tasks.

If it is a real airdrop there is no risk and both parties get some benefit in form of participation, market liquidity, higher user base for the coin...

Since it's just an airdrop, you can't really expect a big pay from it. So, if you only depend on airdrop, I suggest you just join as much airdrop as you can. As far as I know, there are only few good airdrops and distinguishing a good one takes more time than just joining on it so better join. For every 10 airdrops you have joined, there should be at least one of it that is good.

Probably the best was is just to join them all . But its really hard to differentiate it since scammers can really make it look real.

It's a bit difficult. but as you can see about some people are talking about it. But those shit airdrop will have no purpose at all rather than offer the promises about that. all of them just offer a bullshit.
But another legit airdrop just like bitcoin core.
Decred is the best airdrop in the history.

Its not hard to distinguish between them.You have to check the graph of all of them which will help you in deciding that which one is good.and a tip for you because you seem little confused.
