The world largest digital currency by market capitalisation has risen as much as $7815.03.At this level, bitcoin has returned more than 700% year-to-date.

But what if it is bad, on the contrary people are already in euphoria. And even now it is not clear where it will go further up, although it will already fall or even fall.

Even if the price goes down, it will be just temporary and no need to worried here. Its just how the market works if you still haven't noticed it. There are a lot of price correction, I mean healthy one. Around 10-15% is a good correction for me. Because after, the price will consolidate and will increase again and can go even further as its previous high. Right now the price is above $8200 and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. Everyone is very ecstatic about this continuing upsurge of the price and all of us are hoping that it can go to $10,000. The question here is when are we going to see it? Are you going to touch it in 2017 and end the year with a bang, or are we going to see it early 2018?

And it is just but normal for prices to go down. This is given in investing related issues. So that the money would go around and will not just under one name. Their are still many updates ahead and i too would believe that bitcoin will achieve at least 9k after this year. It is not just the fork but also countries adopting bitcoin. I would also want our country to have some legal means on bitcoin.

In my opinion, $10,000 would be a huge psychological barrier for BTC to break. It's not that the value is anything special, but the real difference lies in how people perceive it. In the past month BTC has broken through the $6000 and $7000 barriers like they were small pieces of string. Every time it touched the barrier, corrected a little, and then smashed it with an incredible run.

But $10,000 will be another beast. And there's no telling what will happen. A great group of people will say "That's it! I've made my profit and I'm getting out." Another group of people will say "It broke $10,000! This is going to the moon. I'm buying more!" Still another group of people who never owned Bitcoin before will become curios and buy in.

I think the latter two groups will win. Greed is a powerful force, and many will try to see how far they can push this. But there's no telling when those mining whales will decide to cash out...

Admist of all the barriers bitcoin has turned out to be a major game player . Getting all the attention and headlines bitcoin has started giving nightmares to the wall

In some countries Bitcoin is already illegal, but that is not going to stop the raising in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies for that matter. But Bitcoin has his own political problems with a lot of groups trying to take over and controll "the real bitcoin" (There are like 5 Bitcoins now) and this could affect in some way Bitcoin. The truth is that Bitcoin technollogy is not that good, it is slow, it have scalability problems, political problems, high fees, etc; and there are other cryptos that are way more better, better governance, better technology, more descentrilized and with lower fees, and when people realize this, they are going to change from bitcoin to any other better options such as NEM, Monero, Dash, PIVX, Decred, you name it! all better thatn Bitcoin.

None of the coins you mentioned (btw I'm a huge Monero fan) haven't been put to the test like bitcoin to see their shortcomings, they all have scalability issues and if they get the same number of transactions as Bitcoin the fees will be high as well.

Are you checking the price? You can check it on preev from time to time and to be precise, $8,000 has been there for a couple of days. It didn't "almost" hit but it did actually hit it and what's exciting now, the civil war against Bitcoin cash is like on activated again because of articles that are promoting bitcoin cash as "real bitcoin". I'm not into that thing but this is a another pump and dump for BCH and will lead bitcoin to pump again and will definitely going to hit $10,000.

Indeed there are better coin with better tech than Bitcoin, at least they should have from what they claim. But I definitely agree with garytheasshole here, Bitcoins tech is proven! None of the other coins has been put under the same frequence of usage before. So they might also have scalability problems if they were. Best example is Ethereum, the blockchain also got clogged a lot of times already when there was a huge number of transactions happening at the same time. I guess only time will tell which blockchain is really scalable for the masses. Most likely it wont be Bitcoin if crypto really becomes mainstream, but maybe a scalable fork of the Bitcoin. We will see!

Bitcoin value is already touched the $8,000 so there's no need to worries regarding their fluctuation of bitcoin amount in the crypto industry. Furthermore, I feel that bitcoin value were become steady on this price before end of this year so I suggest to hold it for long term.

Yes, actually everyone was happy because bitcoin have a high value.
A huge population of bitcoin community is just an earner so, it is good new for them because they could exchange their bitcoin in higher amount.
And we are still looking forward that bitcoin will reach $10,000 before the end of the year.

if Bitcoin listed on Chicago exchange.
There are millions of people want to buy bitcoin but don't know how to use the wallet. LOL
Also some of my friends want to invent in it, but they gave up at the moment when they saw Altcoins on the Poloniex.

It did hit now at it already reached $8,200 so by the time this thread was created bitcoin surely hitting it hard. And it went back again at $7,700 for those who didn't see it coming back. Everyone is idealistic with the price of bitcoin and most people who are in bitcoin are giving large number for it's price. All of us here I guess are thinking that bitcoin will be good at $10,000 before this year end and if that happens that will be one of the Merriest Christmas and a very happy new year.

Yep, there was indeed a adjustment in price that corresponds with the Tether hack. But now things have changed in the positive direction once again and we see prices rise pretty much just as before, perhaps even more tenaciously.

Hopefully things will continue that way until the end of the year.

If that is true then i see no reason why the price can't hit $10,000 by the endo f the year, and most importantly, sustain that price level to prove all the doubters wrong.

That's the reason so why did the price went down for a while but still since they are able to give solution on it everything went back to normal. We can't do anything for now but to keep the demand increasing by selling our altcoins for bitcoin after profiting to our trades. $10,000 is near to be fetched and we just need patience for it, no one has an idea if that will come on December or on January.
