Some people already made huge amount of money with Bitcoin, and prefer cash out rather then take the risk to hold it longer. Also some people are here just for quick money, and once they reached their goals, they will sell it.

Basically, we try our luck which we invest a huge amount of bitcoin. In fact it was already proven how bitcoin really gives benefit to each and everyone of us here in bitcoin community. If you want to invest try to find those trading sites as you wish to buy those sites they sell a huge volume of bitcoin. Soon in the future since there are a lot of people invest a dominant crypto currency definitely it can have a huge amount of profit in the future.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

People sell bitcoin to use it from offline transactions since some stores haven't develop online marketing. Some are selling for trading, making a profit out of buying some stocks and sell it for a purpose of getting more money.
Thats right, most especially in some countries who have less bitcoin merchants.Bitcoin holders sell out their bitcoins if they need to convert to fiat for different purposes and it doesn't mean they are selling because they get rid of bitcoins existence.Instead it is a very profitable digital currency of all time.

Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.

But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?

You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.
In this type of currency, we can never know into whom we have bought the Bitcoins we have purchased because anyone or anything here seems to be anonymous to protect each others identity. The reason why people sell their Bitcoins is because of their own deciding capability which seems to be depending into the situation wherein they surely sell it for instant money that maybe will be used for emeregency purposes, or just to cut off their losses and avoid furthermore dump into their account.

There are different reasons as why someone might sell BTC, maybe for personal needs or they just have too much and would like to cash in on a few .selling is part of the game, the bad thing is panic sales that will encourage dumping of BTC to the market Making its flow too much  hence negatively affecting its value. cryptocurrency is an investment just like any other theefore making returns from sales is a norm , just do it with caution and always remember to keep some.

I guess they are selling because they need the money because if they don't why would they bother selling it at the first place or maybe they have reached their desired profit that is why they decided to sell it. But we all have our own reason why we sell our coin and I think it really doesn't matter.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

People sell bitcoins simply because they need to. They need to pay for their bills and why would you hold your money if you have a decent sum to sell? They need to buy stuffs they need or emergencies would make you decide to sell your coins. And for most short time investors, they are selling when they see they already have a profit, without people selling and buying the price will be stagnant so this is a natural thing and this is not bad.

Each person decides when to sell and buy bitcoins. Someone really needs money and they sell, but someone saw in this perspective and decided to buy. Here everything is individual.

I strongly beleive that Bitcoin has the practical purpose. There is no use of it if you keep it in the wallet endlessly.
In some moment you have to sell it and exchange it for fiat or use it for direct payments.
When is the moment for selling each user decides for himself depending on the needs.
It's good to have certain sum of Bitcoin as a saving but Bitcoin is created to be actively used.

I sell bitcoin. I hate to do it, of course, but it's the economy of how my business works. We mostly get paid in BTC or other crypto. We also have a multi-petahash mining op. These support our blockchain software development. So most months I need to sell BTC to cover rent, salaries, insurance, taxes, electricity, etc. It's a great month when I can sell less BTC than I've made, but we're still early in development cycles for most of our tools.

I hate selling BTC but this allows us to pay for professional development without resorting to ICOs (which I think are often-not always-quite scammy). In the long run, I think this is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Exactly. I feel like people who only HODL but never buy and sell in BTC or alts are sort of tourists & speculators. If you really believe in the power of crypto then use it to build a better, cooler world.

That said, I eagerly await the day when converting crypto to fiat seems quaint and archaic.

Too early to give such a conclusion. Maybe those who sell bitcoin are in need of money for an urgent need. After all if we do not sell it from where we will get a profit, from where we can enjoy the results? I think those who sell are someone who knows when it's time to buy and sell and that does not mean they will get rid of it, there will be time to buy again.

the present situation the majority of the general population are utilizing bitcoins as ware/stocks in the market, since its less well known as a money because of high esteem and less offices to use around the world. Again the bitcoins mining is getting harder step by step due the inherent innovation, so the age of new bitcoins is lesser when contrasted with earlier years. So just those people can offer it whoever have bought it beforehand, for any reason.

yes because even though no matter how bullish you are on bitcoin, some people are still going to need fiat; probably to pay for bills, to buy random stuff, to pay for some sort of emergency, because they are short on fiat, those stuff. Deal with it, bitcoin isn't used enough(especially in 3rd world countries) that you can live with bitcoin alone and Supply and demand is not the relevant question. The relevant part is WHO is buying and selling. And when you see the amateur-investors, which this forum is filled with, taking the buy side in a naive vision that Bitcoin can only go up - and the clever larger investors slowly selling their Bitcoin -

You should be careful from who you buy and where you buy bitcoin from. I say this just so you don't get entangled with the wrong fellows and loose your money in the process. There are renowned sites you can buy bitcoin from that are genuine and legit.

I prefer this to buying from persons directly.
