Sphere is a social media also giving control of your data which you make using them.

You can't stop facebook and twitter selling your data with datum you can also sell it too but with sphere you can make your own decision.

What I dont understand is, what is the point of decentralizing a social network? I get that you will be in control of your own data, but why create a social platform?

People need social platforms. And the current ones are centralized also selling your data and no privacy at all.

So they are making a decentralized one which you can control your data.

If you don't need social platform i can get it but for the rest of the world, it can be something.

More and more people learn about crypto, I think the social network on this platform is logical extension of the crypto evolution.

Yes we are getting issues where users are unable to login the app after they sign up from the referral link. To clear the confusion here, the referral link just makes an account for a Sphere wallet. It does not create an account for you on the app. To create an account on the App you can use this link here https://sphere.social/hello/users/register or you can click the "Create an account" link on the app landing page when you first launch it.

I really like the idea of a decentralized network with the purpose of marketing, is to join the useful to the pleasant and leave behind the era of sales sites with abusive rates, the concept is fantastic and will have great adhesion, a good marketing will be fundamental

Sphere is different from onG. OnG is a social feed aggregator. Sphere is a completely new, more mainstream, Social Media Network with its own community.

Currently there are no plans to collaborate with Datum. We prefer to let our users control their own data instead of handing it off to someone else.

Let's hope their soft cap is not too high. Too greedy devs destroy every project because they want more money and extend their ICO.

Everything needs a good marketing fundamental for it to work. Even ethereum was pretty much using their resources for marketing back in the day, As long as there is a major marketing for the coin then it will work out and people will notice the ICO if there is no then there is no reason for the coin to even survive in the crypto market
