If there is no law prohibiting it then it is completely legal. That is the legal rule everywhere. If your laws do not particularly ban the use or owning bitcoins then you're safe to gamble with them. The problem is that if there is a law that generally bans online gambling in your country. Then that would mean that it is illegal to gamble using bitcoins in that country. But generally there aren't much laws for it yet so we don't really have to worry.

It all depends on the law of the country probably where the server resides or something. Normally, no one will want to go against the law of the country that is strict on gambling. As long as the country is not against any activity involving gambling, there is nothing that makes bitcoin gambling illegal.

Still, this days since crypto gambling has really helped most bitcoin websites to keep things going without a huge involvement by the government and the users can do without the banks, things have gotten even more interesting with gambling.

In my country, all sort of gambling is forbidden. They think that gaining money without making efforts or getting someone else's money or making him unhappy because you took his money is not loved in here. That includes gambling with bitcoin. But it is okay if you do it secretly.

Added to that statement, people in my country do not gamble with bitcoin but with friends and with real money. For example, they would gamble over a football match. We also have the planetwin in which you can gamble over a football match. But the government did not legalize it because it is dangerous for the economy.

Nope, it's depend the law of that country and every country has a different law with each other. Based in the law of my country, gambling is illegal here. That's why there is no casino or gambling place in my country and that's why i choose to use bitcoin for gambling. Gambling is not illegal imo.

Bitcoin is legal to use in gambling sites the only illegal are the online gambling sites in which they need to require permit to operate their gambling business thru their government so that they could operate it legally. Bitcoin can be illegal to use if the country prohibit the use of this currency in all means including gambling.

I don’t thinks so there is an issues in gambling with bitcoin rather people are cherishing the entry of bitcoin in gambling world because now they don’t need to go to land based casinos for trying out their lucks in gambling rather they are able to gamble just by laying in their cozy beds at homes by clicking few buttons. I don't think that bitcoin gambling is legal in lots of countries since even fiat gambling isn't approved or regulated by lots of countries around the world . And companies that provide online gambling services are usually offshore companies that aren't allowed on specific soils . Lots of countries took measures to restrict their citizens from online gambling yet overcoming those obstacles ain't hard for people especially after bitcoin apparition .

Not in itself no. BTC gambling is legal as much as any other gambling is legal.

The problem are that:
-For one most of btc gambling sites aren't registered as gambling entities and don't have governmental approval.
-Even if they have, there is a duty to respect the KYC policies and definitely no gambling site do that correctly

But the truth is that nobody cares! No governement can make the link between you and your gambling so why should you care about the legal aspect of it? ^^

I'm in the middle of telling it's legal and illegal. For countries that are aware about bitcoin being used as tool for such activities like gambling, it's up to them if they'll implement bitcoin legality or not. But for countries that there's nothing with bitcoin or it's no recognized, I guess it's not illegal nor legal.

That's right mate, for those countries who already recognized bitcoin existence they already have the right to implement some rules in accordance to bitcoin gambling as its already on their jurisdiction while for those countries that haven't got any idea about bitcoin there's no way that they can treat
it legal or illegal and there's no chance that any rules will be implemented.

And if they decided to say that bitcoin is illegal then we can't anything about it. They are the ones that is being trusted by the people and is the law maker too. For those countries that no idea about bitcoin and remains to be neutral, it's likely bitcoin is legal on that country.

There's a reason why they get to seat in the position that they are in. It's always the government or the ruling party in a country that needs to control these things and that would be hard to oppose if they consider gambling as illegal. It depends on the country really and I hope that it could be legal in our countries and it's up to ourselves to not get addicted to it.

Well I don't have problem in my country, gambling is legal and bitcoin is supported too. And that's why I'm not worried if I gamble with bitcoin or any other crypto's because our government is well supporting bitcoin and many of my countrymen are starting to like it.

Usually nobody can stop you to do bitcoin gambling you just need internet to play bitcoin gambling. But gambling is illegal in many countries it may be online or offline. For me online gambling no problem here our governament is not that much strict.

It is totally a good sign since our government is also regulating the gambling industry. They are taxing it and at the same time they are profiting on it. And bitcoin gambling or not, the government is very supportive on such activities that is related to gambling as long as it is registered.

Lol. That is what makes the difference with online gambling and with the introduction of bitcoin into online gambling, it has made online gambling to become extremely rampant since you can just cash out your winnings and still stay anonymous in the process.

With the use of VPN, I really do not see how online gambling can be illegal even if the country bans it, after all, unless you announce yourself to the whole world, no one will know and no government will be on your neck.

Gambling is regulated when it's a fiat gambling and when you don't have the license then you cannot operate, however, with the advent of bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole, gambling has become easy for everyone to access, when they cannot legalize crypto then gambling even without a license is not illegal for people who supports crypto gambling and that is the reason why crypto gambling is growing very fast nowadays and I will not be surprise if it will dominate the gambling world.

Bitcoin is very free to use and we all know that there is no rule that can regulate Bitcoin. Some gambling is indeed illegal in some countries, but when we use Bitcoin then we are free to do whatever we want including playing gambling. But look when a Bitcoin is set and there is a regulation in certain countries then I am pretty sure that Gambling with Bitcoin can be said to be illegal. This is a law that is perfectly applicable to a country and if there is one that legalizes it then there may be only a few countries and the majority will surely say it as an illegal thing.

For opening a gambling website you always need a license to operate it. So needs govt. approval for registering and running a gambling site. However, there are a few countries which don't allow it. So those sites are banned in those countries which can be accessed using VPN.

Yes, crappy topics that contain crappy answers. We have three replies just on the first page stating that gambling is illegal without taking into account anything else.

I would add to your reply that in some countries where gambling is legal and has been regulated, bitcoin gambling is in a loophole as theoretically gambling sites should have a license to operate in those countries, but bitcoin status is not clear, so they operate there.

Legal cases in online gambling only lead to a particular person's report, or the government gets an unusual transaction account account from a suspected person, so in fact this is not really legal gambling for some countries especially developed countries, do not compare gambling especially Crypto gambling with religion because the business is only for people who want to open their minds by using positive economic laws in the free market.
