I think every gambling is illegal

I think it is impractical to say whether gambling with bitcoins is legal or not. Indeed, different jurisdictions react differently to gambling in general. Whatever laws authorities in Antigua, Costa Rica or Panama have put in place, to govern the industry, are almost completely different from those by the US Department of Justice. The former are receptive to gambling using bitcoins and indeed have earned themselves the title of the main centers of the Bitcoin gambling industry.

Depends on the country/jurisdiction I guess. If gambling is illegal, gambling with anything is going to be illegal, doesn't matter whether it is bitcoin or fiat.

Depends on the country. In countries like Bangladesh, Brunei, Pakistan,... mostly Asia, gambling is illegal and can be fined with prison time and fees, unlike my country where all kinds of gambling are legal as long as you're over 18. Same goes for online gambling.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
Its neither legal nor illegal because there is no way to find out who is gambling with bitcoin or not and gamblers can gamble huge amount without getting noticed by their government. So even people from countries where gambling is illegal can gamble with bitcoin and they can easily get rid of any legal issues too.

So gambling with bitcoin can be considered as pseudo-legal.

Betting is illegal in countries such as Israel, Taiwan, China, Thailand and quite a few others.
Legal but regulated in most western countries.

Now, if the question is betting in Bitcoin is legal, I would say yes but only in a few countries like Malta.
Please be aware that there is a law void when Bitcoin is concerned, so not legal does not necessarily means illegal.

I think ... it's hard to know if gambling with bitcoin is legal or not in a jurisdiction that governs tight gambling in fiat currency. This is because there is no solid test to clarify the legal position.

mainly it depends on where you live. in many countries gambling is not illegal and in some places it is.
but also in some countries it depends on whether or not the government can tax online gambling. i believe it is illegal to gamble "online" in US because they could not tax online gambling!

Its up to the government of the country to decide whether that gambling is legal or illegal because the government of each have each different perspective in terms of their jurisdictions and regulations in bitcoin because sometimes gambling can cause a disruption to one's peaceful environment or it can provide entertainment.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
It depends on country that you are in,  If your country declared online gambling of any type of currency as legal meaning that it is more likely that Bitcoin gambling is also legal. If any type of gambling is illegal in your country then automatically Bitcoin gambling is illegal too but it is not a problem because you can still gamble on sites running in other countries that don't require giving your identity that makes it hard for authorities to trace them. Bitcoin itself also gives its owner anonymity. Personally I don't care anymore if it is legal or not, I've stopped gambling because it's so addictive and it's not profitable unless you do it as a hobby.

Gambling is legal or not depends on the country you are living in. Online gambling takes place in every country whether it is legal or not. If it’s illegal in public then people gamble within their homes. Countries like Australia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Swiitzerland allows online gambling under strict regulations. Many small countries like The Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and Costa Rica offer licensing for bitcoin casinos. Bitcoin gambling will be legal or illegal depens on how law of that country treats the cryptocurrency.

Several countries gives consideration to gambling with all forms of legal rights. When it comes to gambling with bitcoin, more legal formalities were must to be fulfilled. Majority of the gambling service renders were found legitimate fulfilling all the necessity. Most of the time what I look while using the gambling website is the trust it has gained as well the legitimacy in the real time settlement.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
In my country all things related to gambling are illegal. it's all because my country has a strong religious system so anything related to gambling is a prohibited act. but some countries do legalize the gambling, maybe if there is a regulation then the country like taiwan and macau can be a comfortable place for gamblers. It will also apply to Bitcoin gambling, all games are just the same and that distinguishes only the media money we use.

Well, i think it depends on every country's policy weather how they treat the bitcoin legal or illegal. The best thing in bitcoin gambling is they used gambling word for to earned points a satoshi coin. Because people having with a masters in gambling  games they are people who are probably pre- earners in that category of bitcoin.

Many countries have not claimed bitcoin itself to be legal or illegal and they are neutral regarding bitcoin. In such countries gambling with it depends on gambling in general with FIAT, if that is legal bitcoin gambling is legal too. If in such countries FIAT gambling is illegal so should be considered bitcoin gambling. Bitcoin gambling has an advantage as the governments where have made FIAT gambling illegal do not know much about bitcoin so you can continue to gamble with bitcoin in these countries freely without being threatened by authorities.

it is legal and illegal depending on the country. it is illegal in countries that have banned the use of bitcoin even if gambling is legal in the country and also its illegal in countries that does not allow gambling. bitcoin gambling can be also considered legal in country that does allow sport gambling as far as the law does not mention that bitcoin is not to be used. besides there are some bookmaker that accept BTC but still implement KYC verification as required by the gambbling regulation body in that country

Depends on the country/jurisdiction I guess. If gambling is illegal, gambling with anything is going to be illegal, doesn't matter whether it is bitcoin or fiat.
also depends a lot on how the legislation pertaining to gambling is written i would guess. i would guess to say that most legislation involves defining gambling as something that takes place involving currency (currency being the big key word here); here in japan, pachinko venues are fairly common. common enough that i can probably see about 10 of them going 30 minutes down the highway. however, the legislation on gambling from the japanese government forbids gambling establishments where money is exchanged directly; this leads to the system the pachinko parlors use involving 'tokens' that can be 'sold' for an equivalent value. its in a fairly gray legal area, but it's enough to allow those pachinko parlors to continue existing.

Depending, depending on the country of each. I think there are several possibilities:
1. Gambling is illegal in your country, then bitcoin gambling is automatically illegal.
2. Gambling is not illegal, but bitcoin is illegal, then gambling bitcoin is also illegal.
3. Gambling and bitcoin are illegal, so there is no doubt that bitcoin gambling is definitely illegal.
4. Gambling and bitcoin are legal, then bitcoin gambling is also legal.

Gambling is totally illegal in our country. But I know lots of people are making money with bitcoin gambling. There are lots of bitcoin gambling websites and it is really tough for a gov to regulate any account . And as the bitcoin is untraceable it is also hard to find out the source of btc income. The only possible way that gov can restrict people from joining the website is to block the the website but none of the websites are blocked still now.

When gambling is marked as an illegal activity in a country, then all forms of gambling will be illegal regardless of the tools being used, including bitcoin. Whereas in countries that allow gambling, casinos that use bitcoin as a means of payment must necessarily follow the rules of the game in order to be considered legal.

And regards to the OPs question it doesnt matter if the gambling here in crypto is legal or illegal because this is not under the governments jurisdiction,so from my point of views this is legal here in crypto community.

What do you think? We all know that gambling will never become legal. But as we can see those big casinos in order for them to become legal they are giving taxes to government.

But we are talking about bitcoin gambling it's different from gambling (physically). Bitcoin casinos don't need to pay taxes for the government and only a few of them are being regulated. Others already said it multiple times every country has their own set of laws for gambling offline and online. That's the reason why some bitcoin casinos here have more rules than the other and some block users from specific countries while others don't.

Lottery is one of the most accepted form of gambling if that is legal then gambling itself should also be legal.

I don't think legal or illegal would be a problem for gambling addicts, it would be legal and keep doing it all the way that can be to do.
However, if in general of course it depends on the views of each country on the using of bitcoin itself in that country and I think it already can be said as legal like as in America.
In my place, it's definitely to be said as a illegal activity.

Bitcoin gambling is legal at most of the countries. and let me explain why:

Most of the countries don't mark bitcoin as a currency, so when you gamble bitcoins, you are not actually gamble real money, on the country settings, it is the same as gambling on play money, gambling on play money is legal.

Small amount of countries ( for example, Japan), consider bitcoin as a currency, in such currencies, gambling on bitcoins apply to the regular rules of betting on fiat money.
Which means that if fiat gambling in that country is prohibited, also bitcoin gambling will be prohibited.

But im sure sooner or later it would really gain traction or attraction of its own government when they saw that it is already getting bigger and bigger which would comes to a point that they would need to  impose regulations on it but for now we do know that not all countries or places are aware on bitcoins existence which would result that they dont really bother or care at all.

I think government won have any control with this internet gambling. Especially if it supports bitcoin. But now adays it is not easy to attract costumers, because of these scams regarding phishing sites and even fake sites.

Every form of gambling whether its illegal or not it is always depend on what country you are. If you live in country that gambling is illegal, automatic that even if that is online, bitcoin gambling is already illegal.

In many countries there isn't a regulamentation for bitcoin, so we can't considere it illegal
I think that when it happen (if) the governments and financial institute can only tax them, but not close

If gambling addicts know that gambling is illegal but they're still gambling, maybe they do not think it's a problem, but they stay in trouble. It's just a way of not thinking about it at all. But not thinking about that a problem does not mean they are not problematic. They just do not want to give a headache. Though the problem is like a time bomb, it will explode someday without us preparing everything.

Do my place all things related to the gambling game is an illegal thing. But there are still so many people who try to play gambling. Actually in this era of technology bitcoin has helped the development of gambling, with the bitcoin then we can see the number of online casinos that have sprung up. Characteristics possessed by bitcoin has made the gamblers play comfortably. They do not worry when all the transactions they do because everything is not possible to be tracked by the police.

In our country, even though Casinos and gambling houses are not allowed at all the places, but online gambling seems to be getting accepted and government haven't opposed. Also Bitcoin is also neither illegal nor legal, so as of now Bitcoin Gambling seems to be fine. Till cryptocurrencies and gambling is allowed, I believe no issues will be there legally.

IMO bitcoin as gambling transaction is different things and can't be compare with fiat since bitcoin still have no regulation except your government already legalize bitcoin just like China.
Overall , bitcoin gambling is legal as long as it not cause any major problem !

In my country there's nothing wrong if you'll gamble with bitcoin. No laws about it but if you'll use bitcoin for something illegal that can put the life of others in danger and threats the government you'll be in jail if the authorities will find it out. But for countries that bitcoin is ban and gambling is banned too, it's obvious.

It depends on both, your country and the legality of Bitcoin. Some countries do not allow the people to gamble and some of them do. Now if your country doesn't prohibit gambling then it is probably legal. But now it also depends if your country has any rules against Bitcoin too or not. If there is no such rule in your country which stops anyone from gambling but Bitcoin is banned in the country then i guess it would be illegal as you are using an illegal currency for gambling. If the authorities find out what you are doing, you might have to face problems. If Bitcoin is neither legal nor illegal in your country then you are free to do it ofcourse.

Countries in the middle east to the best of my knowledge because of the way they are being ruled through various Islamic injunctions, there is no justification whatsoever for gambling whether fiat or btc. But for my country gambling on its own is legal so far you can meet the terms and condition among which the most important one is 18 years the moment that is settled, you are good to go without any limitation. With bitcoin coming to the mainstream, the law is still silent as to which direction we want to go.

Gambling is whether online or not as long as the government is strict and has a mandatory rule of law about declaring it as illegal, whether you gamble at your own home or with fake money gambling is illegal. That's the logic that I can think for now but very few countries declaring bitcoin gambling is illegal but there's a lot of it that has a law about gambling as illegal thing or even a type of crime.

Yes, actually it depends on the country where we live. There are countries that legalize gambling, some are forbidding gambling and even imprisoning people who are desperate to gamble. Whatever the type of gambling, even use Bitcoin though.

However, gambling is always found in different parts of the world, in any country. Even in a country that forbids gambling though, there remains a special place for gambling. Some say a term called "official gambling", I do not know about it and what it means. But there is also a gambling place that deliberately pays the authorities such as the police and the government to open gambling halls. Usually, in a corrupt country will be found something like that.

In my view bitcoin Gambling is legal , Because I am in this field since 5+ years and also I am much active in every field .
From the practical life analysis here j have the mentility that if the government of the fee countries can allow the making Gambling and betting ( like in England ) , then why not it can be in the online , as we are in the bitcoin field ,so Ofcourse we should make Gambling with bitcoin and it is not illegal in any way .
If we are going to sell the bitcoin then we needed to pay tax according to as per the rule of the government , so I don't think it is bad in any ways . So bitcoin is legal Gambling method .
And I think we should treat the bitcoin as an game like thing , where we can enjoy with the bitcoin Because Money is made for the enjoy and if we can't enjoy them for what thing these are made .

It would be illegal depending on what country you are living, different country have different rules regarding gambling and specially when it comes to bitcoin.
Some online bitcoin casino requires you to full identification process before you can withdraw what money you have on your account because of legal matters.

If there is no law prohibiting it then it is completely legal. That is the legal rule everywhere. If your laws do not particularly ban the use or owning bitcoins then you're safe to gamble with them. The problem is that if there is a law that generally bans online gambling in your country. Then that would mean that it is illegal to gamble using bitcoins in that country. But generally there aren't much laws for it yet so we don't really have to worry.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?

In specific countries, where the level of law is developed,If you want to create online casino you need to get a special gambling license. This license contains prerequisites,For example in my country this license cost s2.000.000.Olso you need to get license for employess  (for example if you have live roulette on your bitcoin gambling site or manager, you must get a special license for this person)  But I think, that they can not control bitcoin gambling sites and  its very bad because, the owner of the casino does not have any legal binding fear and its bad only for users. This is a general case and nothing special is announced about this in my country. So it's very hard and expensive to create legal bitcoin gambling site and in my opinion 60 % of this gamblings are illegal.

When was gambling of any kind legal? Only gambling is legal where the country allows it say Macau Vegas this are places where it's allowed. Bitcoin itself is not legal how will the gambling be legal? Maybe if Japan does allow Bitcoin gambling you could say it's legal out only In Japan but otherwise no other County it is legal. You could try out reputable sites like bitdice and play without any fear.

mainly it depends on where you live. in many countries gambling is not illegal and in some places it is.
but also in some countries it depends on whether or not the government can tax online gambling. i believe it is illegal to gamble "online" in US because they could not tax online gambling!

Most countries gambling is illegal but it will depends on there community if its legalized because they have permit to those such gambling games. Gambling is very fun game, doing such games to win or just wish your luck to have money. Most people making as there part of life doing to gamble ,even there last money they try to gamble because they believed last money is there lucky money but unfortunately its not. Doing such gambling may ruin financial aspects and also may cause such conflicts thats why most countries didn't legalized gambling.

If you played gambling into the casinos you can assured that all games inside on that placed are legal. Because most of the casinos are given high amount of taxes to the government to make their business legal and have a protection from government. Moreover some casinos shares some of their income to charitable institution to become more helpful to other poor people.

However, the illegal gambling are when you play outside the casinos because and it was involved high amount. Because in the eye of law it was the sins that not allowed by the government in any countries.

You can consider it legal depending on your location and the jurisdictions you are under, Gambling websites themselves are usually legal since they operate in places allowing them (or at least say they do) and block US players (the biggest source of headache for sportbooks in general since the US gov is, well, bad to them).

While thinking that bitcoin gambling is illegal, I don't really care about that. In fact, from an ethical point of view bitcoin's gambling is better than women's gambling or car's gambling by far. Also, due to the high value of bitcoin, gain with bitcoin is better than the other types. Which seduces any gambler to discover this experience.

Is it legal or not depends from countries, in my gambling with bitcoins is not regulated, like bitcoin is not regulated. Looks like that just advanced countries doing something about it, small ones like mine don't even think about bitcoins yet. When you gamble in bitcoins casinos you have possibility to check their possibly fair system. In fiat casinos that is not possible, legality on one side but on other side is what is better for us gamblers and that is for sure bitcoin.

Depends on the country/jurisdiction I guess. If gambling is illegal, gambling with anything is going to be illegal, doesn't matter whether it is bitcoin or fiat.

This is true. It depends on the place we are talking about; some countries actually use gambling as a good means to get revenue through taxes. Gambling is a big industry; what makes it illegal sometimes is how underground and illegal organizations try to monopolize it or control it from the shadows using illegal and violent means. Bitcoin gambling, on that note, is not illegal, there are actually many people trying it out.

Why won't it be. Bitcoin is practically another currency that is like any money out there that can be used as a wager or can be gambled for a profit. I think its legality depends on what country you are talking about, some countries use gambling as a big revenue-generating machine and gives massive amounts of tax. In that sense, many countries have already used it for profit, except those that are controlled by underground mafias, I guess.

It depends on two factors:

1) Is gambling legal in your jurisdiction?

and

2)  I s bitcoin legal in your jurisdiction?

If you are okay on those two things, then it should be okay for you to gamble with bitcoin.  However ---> the site you choose to play at may have addition regulations they need to adhere to ----> but you're not culpable for their actions.

In most of the country gambling is illegal and also in most of the country gambling is legal. Then about the online gambling, in my point of view, online gambling is legal that's why every gambler could play it without any restriction and law.

Gambling is legal in some countries and some countries provide government access to lottery and some other forms of gambling. In my country bookies were available for the gambling with fiat. As bitcoin is anonymous I don't think of legality, I just spend whenever I wish to gamble with bitcoin.

Gambling is legal in many countries but they haven't said anything about bitcoin gambling so we can consider bitcoin gambling is also legal there.

Gambling is illegal in some countries so any form of gambling is considered illegal there including bitcoin gambling.

There are many gambling platform without any verification procedure where people from all countries can play with bitcoin so there is nothing that can stop bitcoin gambling.

The advantage of crypto currency gambling is it's privacy the registration process needs no verification so no one can find us that we are gambling. But if gambling is prohibited in your country then you must obey the rules.
In my country gambling is not banned only some form of betting is illegal as far now I don't hear any cases regarding gambling arrests so I can gamble with full freedom and it gives us good adrenaline pump. ;D

It will never called legal until the site paying taxes because some of the casino paying taxes in order for tge to run their business in gambling but even they are legal by doing this tgey are more using nights to open the casino than day.
I on the whole not even consider gambling a legal game at all. We all know that this is very evil game an there are many people who have lost large money in this game. Many people have ruined their lives just by getting addicted to this game. We should put pressure on our government for banning these games all over the world. Casinos are the hubs of criminal minds and the banning of casinos will develop peace.

Your country is an open system, I think more countries today consider gambling an illegal thing. but if you notice then gambling game using Bitcoin will be easier to do, because with Bitcoin we can do the game easily and safely. we only need internet access and this can make us free to play all day. but for me gambling is just an entertainment, I play gambling when I feel stress and I never get addicted when playing gambling. Gambling is not a job, so think again because if we consider gambling as a job then we will be risking the future we have.

It doesn't matter if it is bitcoins or fiat, if it is illegal in your country there is really no work around to it. If you gamble online and it is illegal even if you use a VPN, you are committing a crime! That is the only relevant information to anyone living in a country where gambling is illegal. Even if you gamble with bitcoins it doesn't matter, since the fact is that gambling is illegal then you can't do anything about it, the best thing is to just stop.

It depends, but most of the time it is illegal. Authorities are always searching on where this online gamblings are operating. Sometimes they are shady, no permits and considered as illegal so government would really sue them. That means it includes bitcoin gambling, (who knows which one really operates with complete papers)

Maybe it is all because of tax.

I agree, bitcoin  gambling is considered as an illegal that's  why some of gambling sites always keep using bitcoin because of its decentralized that this system brings transparency to all transactions that are made in online gambling. As the result, online gambling can get more profit if they use Blockchain. Last benefit that is provided by Blockchain is fill anonymity. Players who gamble in decentralized gambling sites with cryptocurrency that will protect their identity can do gamble in a convenient way.

It all depends on the law of the country probably where the server resides or something. Normally, no one will want to go against the law of the country that is strict on gambling. As long as the country is not against any activity involving gambling, there is nothing that makes bitcoin gambling illegal.

Still, this days since crypto gambling has really helped most bitcoin websites to keep things going without a huge involvement by the government and the users can do without the banks, things have gotten even more interesting with gambling.

In my country, all sort of gambling is forbidden. They think that gaining money without making efforts or getting someone else's money or making him unhappy because you took his money is not loved in here. That includes gambling with bitcoin. But it is okay if you do it secretly.

Added to that statement, people in my country do not gamble with bitcoin but with friends and with real money. For example, they would gamble over a football match. We also have the planetwin in which you can gamble over a football match. But the government did not legalize it because it is dangerous for the economy.

Bitcoin is legal to use in gambling sites the only illegal are the online gambling sites in which they need to require permit to operate their gambling business thru their government so that they could operate it legally. Bitcoin can be illegal to use if the country prohibit the use of this currency in all means including gambling.
I don’t thinks so there is an issues in gambling with bitcoin rather people are cherishing the entry of bitcoin in gambling world because now they don’t need to go to land based casinos for trying out their lucks in gambling rather they are able to gamble just by laying in their cozy beds at homes by clicking few buttons. Bitcoin has provided a better version of gambling games to the gamblers and they are very much enjoying it.

I don't think that bitcoin gambling is legal in lots of countries since even fiat gambling isn't approved or regulated by lots of countries around the world . And companies that provide online gambling services are usually offshore companies that aren't allowed on specific soils . Lots of countries took measures to restrict their citizens from online gambling yet overcoming those obstacles ain't hard for people especially after bitcoin apparition .

Not in itself no. BTC gambling is legal as much as any other gambling is legal.

The problem are that:
-For one most of btc gambling sites aren't registered as gambling entities and don't have governmental approval.
-Even if they have, there is a duty to respect the KYC policies and definitely no gambling site do that correctly

But the truth is that nobody cares! No governement can make the link between you and your gambling so why should you care about the legal aspect of it? ^^

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?

I'm in the middle of telling it's legal and illegal. For countries that are aware about bitcoin being used as tool for such activities like gambling, it's up to them if they'll implement bitcoin legality or not. But for countries that there's nothing with bitcoin or it's no recognized, I guess it's not illegal nor legal.
That's right mate, for those countries who already recognized bitcoin existence they already have the right to implement some rules in accordance to bitcoin gambling as its already on their jurisdiction while for those countries that haven't got any idea about bitcoin there's no way that they can treat
it legal or illegal and there's no chance that any rules will be implemented.
And if they decided to say that bitcoin is illegal then we can't anything about it. They are the ones that is being trusted by the people and is the law maker too. For those countries that no idea about bitcoin and remains to be neutral, it's likely bitcoin is legal on that country.
There's a reason why they get to seat in the position that they are in. It's always the government or the ruling party in a country that needs to control these things and that would be hard to oppose if they consider gambling as illegal. It depends on the country really and I hope that it could be legal in our countries and it's up to ourselves to not get addicted to it.

Well I don't have problem in my country, gambling is legal and bitcoin is supported too. And that's why I'm not worried if I gamble with bitcoin or any other crypto's because our government is well supporting bitcoin and many of my countrymen are starting to like it.

Hey, it's superb mate, where you come from? You are in bitcoin support country it is a good sign for you.
Usually nobody can stop you to do bitcoin gambling you just need internet to play bitcoin gambling. But gambling is illegal in many countries it may be online or offline. For me online gambling no problem here our governament is not that much strict.

It is totally a good sign since our government is also regulating the gambling industry. They are taxing it and at the same time they are profiting on it. And bitcoin gambling or not, the government is very supportive on such activities that is related to gambling as long as it is registered.

In my country betting online is illegal.
Bitcoin is illegal.
But I still gamble with btc fuck  ;D ;D ;D
Lol. That is what makes the difference with online gambling and with the introduction of bitcoin into online gambling, it has made online gambling to become extremely rampant since you can just cash out your winnings and still stay anonymous in the process.

With the use of VPN, I really do not see how online gambling can be illegal even if the country bans it, after all, unless you announce yourself to the whole world, no one will know and no government will be on your neck.

I humbly disagree. Gambling is Legal every country has its own land base casino that operates under regulated law. Underground gambling is illegal, which is set to have violations once proven guilty of doing it.

In case Bitcoin Gambling. There's no law that prohibits gambling using Bitcoins, so in general it is legal (to those countries who legally accepted Bitcoins).

Gambling is regulated when it's a fiat gambling and when you don't have the license then you cannot operate, however, with the advent of bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole, gambling has become easy for everyone to access, when they cannot legalize crypto then gambling even without a license is not illegal for people who supports crypto gambling and that is the reason why crypto gambling is growing very fast nowadays and I will not be surprise if it will dominate the gambling world.

Bitcoin is very free to use and we all know that there is no rule that can regulate Bitcoin. Some gambling is indeed illegal in some countries, but when we use Bitcoin then we are free to do whatever we want including playing gambling. But look when a Bitcoin is set and there is a regulation in certain countries then I am pretty sure that Gambling with Bitcoin can be said to be illegal. This is a law that is perfectly applicable to a country and if there is one that legalizes it then there may be only a few countries and the majority will surely say it as an illegal thing.

Not really but I think it depends on your country as well. If you think that you are playing in an illegal site then it is going to be illegal for you even when your country allow you to gamble. It is better for you to stick with a legal gambling website so that you could avoid any unnecessary things that might happen to you in the future

Yes, crappy topics that contain crappy answers. We have three replies just on the first page stating that gambling is illegal without taking into account anything else.

I would add to your reply that in some countries where gambling is legal and has been regulated, bitcoin gambling is in a loophole as theoretically gambling sites should have a license to operate in those countries, but bitcoin status is not clear, so they operate there.

Legal cases in online gambling only lead to a particular person's report, or the government gets an unusual transaction account account from a suspected person, so in fact this is not really legal gambling for some countries especially developed countries, do not compare gambling especially Crypto gambling with religion because the business is only for people who want to open their minds by using positive economic laws in the free market.
And these days, except your country makes bitcoin illegal, you can hardly get screwed since you can just make use of bitcoin gambling sites and get your winnings in your wallet.

Bitcoin gambling can only be illegal if it is declared by the country of the player as illegal but does that really stop anyone from continuing when you can easily stay anonymous without the government breathing down on your neck ? No!

That's true, there are a lot of protocols with which one can hide his identity online and since most of these  bitcoin gambling websites are hosted on offshore servers certain government restrictions and actions to take them down will be  fruitless and so the worst they could do is to pronounce it illegal but cannot stop it.

Gambling Bitcoin and ordinary gambling are just the same things I think. It's just that if ordinary gambling uses ordinary currency, then Bitcoin gambling will use cryptocurrency as a tool for transactions. With cryptocurrency, I think people would prefer Bitcoin gambling instead of ordinary gambling. People will be easier to play gambling online and in secret without known to many people, there are some people who like that. With cryptocurrency, transactions and money transfers become encrypted and confidential. It is difficult for people to track and know gambling players or gambling service providers.

You can't just make a general statement like this saying that any form of gambling with Bitcoin is illegal, different countries have different laws.
Bitcoin isn't even recognized as a currency in most countries, I assume many Bitcoin casino's are using that as a loophole, they're in a gray legal area.

The fact that casino's and Bitcoin offer some form of anonymity has nothing do do wether it's illegal or not.

I know most gambling sites and casinos are always strict with age but illegality depends on the country and as long as these online casinos are involved, there is really no form of illegal policies that can affect them most especially with the whole bitcoin usage which makes every gambler anonymous and no way the government can track the operation of the site or the users. Legality of bitcoin gambling will be a concern only up to individuals as bitcoin is completely unregulated.

This is the biggest dilemma of gambling industry. There is nothing illegality in bitcoin based gambling but i am not sure whether all the gambling sites are registered according to conventional way but from what i understand some gambling sites are registered in some free heavens, there are good genuine sites and make sure you enquire about the site before depositing your money whether it is legit or not.
I really doubt if there is any registered gambling site. They do not have a direct link with the government and except maybe where the server may be located (not sure how they get themselves running daily though), which could be the only reason.

Moreover, even that does not mean anything. There are so many countries that are friendly with gambling and for the gamblers themselves, the only problem they may have is cashing out, only if the government bans cryptocurrency. Except for this, the legality of bitcoin gambling is based on the country and how the person wants to stick to the law.

All things is illegal if it is prohibited by its own government and if bitcoin gambling called to be illegal by your authorities then it was considered as illegal. Somehow bitcoin as a decentralised system so it is hard for the government to oppose and for that there is nothing to worry and will just go by the flow.

Some bitcoin casinos are legal. If a bitcoin casino is operated in the same manner as a traditional casino, it will fall under the same laws as if it is a traditional casino. There are no federal laws against online gambling. However, there are some state laws prohibiting the practice.

I think every gambling is illegal

I humbly disagree. Gambling is Legal every country has its own land base casino that operates under regulated law. Underground gambling is illegal, which is set to have violations once proven guilty of doing it.

In case Bitcoin Gambling. There's no law that prohibits gambling using Bitcoins, so in general it is legal (to those countries who legally accepted Bitcoins).
I am going to support your stance without any second thought because there is nothing which can flourish publicly without the support of governments. As far as gambling is concerned and that too in land based casinos, these casinos are paying heavy taxes to the state and in return they gain permit from government for ruining eth lives of people. Indeed bitcoin gambling is not declared illegal by any state or any law.

Bitcoin gambling is not illegal because in order for an online casino to operate they need to register it, they are paying tax and they have their address listed in their website. If a casino is not legally registered how can we trust them , how can we play on their website thinking that they might run because they don't have any obligations.

And it is exactly your last statement that totally makes it different. It is easy for government to impose a law and it would be very hard for anyone to go against it since you can easily get nabbed. Even if you want to go underground, one way or the other, you will still get leaked out.

After all, with cryptocurrency and online casinos, you can stay anonymous as long as you want and not a single government will ever know if you are gambling or not unless you want to go surrender yourself to the cops.

You can stay anonymous for a long time until they decided to purge everyone. The reason that we could stay like this is because the goverment hasnt put any effort into this. The reason is because there are alot of illegal gambling website and it will take some resources for them to purge everything so if this hasnt cause any problem for them then they wont be doing anything

In this point wise, i also think that online gambling is not illegal, a huge gamblers are daily play on these sites, they use their money becasue they trust on these online bitcoin gambling sites and i am also one of them who trust them. Because these sites are register and paying taxes, so nothing more prove anyone need it. I think these proves are enough to play bitcoin gambling in online sites.

That's why max countries ban gambling and it is illegal also. Lot of people bread earnings are depend on gambling profession only. So it is difficult to answer this question.

Already many bitcoin gambling sites are using KYC, I am glad because in the end there is a step forward to make users more comfortable and not overshadowed by government reprimands. Bitcoin gambling is not illegal as long as there is an official tax and management system, but I think the number of websites like this is not much and this should start from now.

You have different kind of regulations in different countries. I think in some islamic countries gambling is forbitten in general and this totally independent of whether for money or not.

Then you have countries where it is forbitten to gamble for money, but if bitcoin is not considered as money and in most countries it is not, then gambling for bitcoin is legal.

However, there are few gambling sites like Jetwin where you can play with anonymous accounts and bitcoin is basically anonymous as well.

To be clear many bitcoin casinos are made to anonymous! Fiat based casinos ask for cresi cards and IDs, and other kind of verification documents, how can you give them all that and stay anonymous? With bitcoins no one can trace you, is it your wallet or not, you can always use VPN if casino allows that, no matter is bitcoin gambling legal or illegal people will find a way to access bitcoin gambling site and deposit bitcoins there. If fiat online gambling is forbidden in your country it would be very hard to find a way to deposit money.

BITCOIN gambling is legal in most of the countries because it is the matter between two men not the two states and governments would announce it illegal as soon as they would find any activity in gambling which poses a threat to the piece of one country with another.

Instead of giving harm to one country gambling provides huge profits to that country because casinos pay governments for their legalization and people are showing much interest in casinos in modern era.

Bitcoin in the case of gambling is just a monetary mode used for exchange of values and to facilitate transaction, the question should have been whether gambling is illegal or not.

Different countries and areas have different attitude towards gambling. While its taken as just any other recreational activities in some parts of the world, it is seen an an illegal act, and punnishable offence in other parts of the world.

It is definetely country specific. As per your question, gambling with the use of bitcoin is not illegal in itself  because bitcoin is just a monetary transaction tool that you are using, in whose absence you would go for regular currency or any other currency. Use of bitcoin for gambling purpose is surging and gaining popularity.

There are enough stories of people winning big jackpots in traditional casino's and not receiving their money.

Okay, some Bitcoin casino's may not be registered, but they do have a proven track record, which makes it pretty safe to play there.
Ofc I wouldn't leave any funds on your account if you're not playing.

Also, most good Bitcoin casinos have instant payouts.

There are some countries that prohibited gambling like in the middle east.

It cannot be illegal if a certain country does not legalize or recognize bitcoin yet, it's just a payment system and they will be having a hard time to shut down a gambling sites as there are a lot of sites operating in different countries. For me, bitcoin gambling gives conveniences because we can play in any gambling sites and we are not required to comply with the KYC so it's just like the trust system are building here, besides, they will lose profit if they will destroy their reputation.

Using it in gambling is not impossible since there are already lots of online games and bettings. The easiest way for its payment is thru bitcoin payment
In my opinion there is no gambling legal. All the gambling are illegal but people gamble anyway at their own risk.
In my country all types of gambling are illegal and as bitcoin is still decentralized therefore the governments has nothing to do with bitcoin, therefore the gamblers put their money here without any fear and hesitation. I don’t know about the other countries. May their governments allow their people to gamble anywhere ?

I think Bitcoin gambling is illegal because even Bitcoin isn't accepted in many country, so using them with a purpose is totally illegal

Ya their are many countries where gambling is illegal so definitely if you gamble through any source of medium its illegal. Also even if gambling is legal but bitcoin is not then too using btc for the gambling become illegal. So it will definitely depend upon the country and its polices towards it. May be better to avoid if some is not sure about both the aspects of it.

Even in websites that have gambling licenses it depends on the country where you are playing and its laws, for exemple I live in Tunisia and the laws prohibt gambling but i still do it  :P . And for the countries that allow it, the gambling website will need the same licenses since bitcoin is a currency just like any other.

What's the association of the other choice in the poll "blockchain"? Bitcoin gambling is legal in my country but you need to know if your government is accepting and supporting bitcoin. But if not and there's a law about illegitimacy about bitcoin then you have to put yourself in a safe place of not doing it so. And if there's no clear rules on your country about bitcoin, there's nothing wrong to gamble.

In most of the countries where gambling is legal in these countries bitcoin is also legal, may be anyone country is here where gambling is allowed and bitcoin is not allowed. But it is not easy to say that bitcoin gambling is illegal becasue all gambling sites have licenses then what is left the law for announce them that gambling sites are legal or illegal. Well i play gambling without this thinking and it is easy for me.

In a world where people aren't able to determine whether BTC is legal itself you are asking whether its gambling is illegal LOL. In most of countries with an exception to some Gambling is quite much illegal. Moreover BTC gambling which is absolutely unregulated is somewhat more illegal but most countries might not have appropriate laws for it.

In my place, it can be considered illegal since bitcoin Casino had no permit to operate in our country.  The authority needs the casino to have full documents and licenses from the gaming board authority.  Though I am not sure about online casino such as these casino we have in bitcoin community today.  Though there had been no restriction or whatsover in our internet access, which means we can play in any online casino without our government knowledge nor permission.

One cannot generally say gambling is illegal or legal but all depend your country of origin or the country you are leaving at the moment. In some gambling is legal and one of the lucrative business while in some other country gambling is completely illegal and one cannot set up gambling business in those countries.

The legalities of gambling vary from country to country where the people's culture is the main concern and beside government policies and connections are also a big factor like for example if you are operating a gambling casino and didn't comply a certain requirements mandated by the government then your operation is illegal, even online casinos are illegal to some countries.

There seems to be not legal casinos bitcoin yet. However, gambling in some countries is prohibited. Legality is indispensable, but gamblers never care about it.

it's depend on your the county, Some countries is legal and not legal.
yes, sometimes the people is not care about that if you are an addict in gambling, do not care about legal or not legal.
In mostly developed countries, bitcoins have become legal because they are aware of the fact that in future all the trading is going to be done with bitcoins as they are making their name in market very fast.

Bitcoin gambling cannot be legalized officially because no country will want to ruin their respect in front of other countries as gambling is considered to be a bad habit but every government is aware about bitcoin gambling in their country.

Yes, bitcoin gambling legality is hard to measure because in the first place there is no official act about legality of bitcoin gambling because it is hard for them to push because they have no control over that blockchain system.

Here in my country Online gambling is legal, of course if you have a permit. Regardless if you are using Bitcoin or FIAT it should be legal if the countries laws are allowing it and illegal if they are prohibits it.
My entire country doesn't have a stand with bitcoin gambling though they are aware about bitcoin and they want to regulate it but still that it rumors. Bitcoin gambling is now popular since gamblers from casino's just want to stay home and find comfort through doing it.

Even if you country stands against it you can use VPN to to access offshore cryptocurrency gambling websites so that you can gamble without your government censoring it. There are a lot of ways around those gambling websites  so whether or not bitcoin is legal in your  you can still gamble.

That's another way to gamble if there are restrictions on your country and with those VPN, yes that's possible but still you need to take care when you use it.

in my home country gambling is illegal or better, have to be government regulated (read it as owned by government) like the tobacco monopoly.
All the lotteries, slot machines are controlled by government and none can put their own machines without having the license to do so.
There are many casino online, roulettes and other gambling websites but the webserver must be in a country where gambling is legal, it's always up to the country to regulate it and gambling with BTC it's the same (at least for my country).

Yes indeed in some countries gambling legal, but I think if gambling on give himpermission then it must be a lot of problems in the face even though it gambling online, because people who have a hobby gambled then usually they would be involved into a lot of problems, then it will be impact to the country, because no matter how gambled no positive effects

Well it depends in what place you belong. There are some country accept gambling and some are not. For example here in my county we think gambling as illegal but there are few people are still do it, there are confident because they know that their identity is secured. I admit that I try to gamble online but I realize that I'm just wasting my money so I quit it before it too late.

There are plenty of bitcoin gambling sites you can find here and yes it is legal but of course it depends which country you came from. In my country gambling sites is not prohibited but if our local exchange find out that your money came from gambling sites they will banned your account. So it really depends on each countries rules.

It's legal in most countries although there are some countries that duly restrict the usage of bitcoin and other countries so it's affecting gambling too. And there's another situation that a country that duly bans gambling so every type of gambling, fiat, local, casino or online gambling is ban. It's included that gambling with bitcoin is illegal so that's how situations goes.

Casinos with physical buildings have been legalized because the government also earns a lot of income from applicable taxes, it is widely recognized by developed countries because gambling also serves as entertainment so business complexity will also be greeted with more professional gamblers, for online gambling I'm not too sure but the use kyc on the website can be categorized as legal.

The taxes on the business is what the government wants and that's how they are planning to get profit from there too and that's what the government wants. To be part of something that is really working. Think about it, we all want to have positive outcomes especially if it concerns with money.

Well technically you can tax druglords, arms dealers, hired killers, etc. The fact is tax is on income generated, regardless of source. You can actually be imprisoned for not paying taxes, so that means it is a crime. Remember, Al Capone? He was not convicted because of his illegal activities but actually for non-payment of taxes. Being taxed doesn't mean it is not illegal.

That is the problem of government now a days when it comes to big money they will takes place and get some of it. On the other hand , still gambling is legal but some of it is illegal like those gambling not on casino or that is prohibited by the government, mostly now of the gambling that is doing is illegal to government but online gambling right now is legal unless there are country that is prohibiting it.

Gambling will only become illegal when a country enacted a law that makes it illegal and it will specify what kind of gambling are prohibited in their area. Casinos and other government-sanctioned bettings are allowed to raise some funds by taxing them. Gambling, whether it is legal or not, is not moral.

Well governments tend to be relaxed when it comes to the gambling industry since it can generate a huge amount of money for them. And it's also touted as part of tourism so unless you live in an extremely conservative country, gambling is legal. Now that applies as well for btc gambling since in general, its still online gambling

Unlike government-monitored casinos, online gambling can keep our privacy in every game. Especially at this time there is a digital currency, in the presence of digital currency such as bitcoin then we can withdraw and deposit with very easy. It can be interpreted that bitcoin is currently very helpful once the development of gambling game. I acknowledge that the gambling industry is increasingly growing, but I remind you that gambling has a high level of risk that we should be able to make decisions appropriately and also be ready when bad conditions come to us.

Legal have different meanings and it depends on what field we are talking about, if it is like wha you have said, that have certificate to operate then it is legal to the Government but what about if we are going to talk about God, it is legal to Him? I guess not. Gambling is so wrong if we are going to ask the Holy Bible about it, it is wrong to the point where we could abandon our own families just to push our luck into gambling.

IT would be depending on the country on where you would be gambling. especially now that there is a lot of going on woth bitcoin being banned and somecou tries imposing strict regualtions on it. There might be some countries who tink of this two as illegal
Here in my country it is illegal but in other courtiers it is legal because I have travelled some other country and there the people were gambling online. I also gamble in bitcoin there. One thing I want to mention that in my country one should gamble online became the government has nothing to do with that and bitcoin gambling is online therefore there is no problem gambling in bitcoin.

Gambling is probably one of the best sources from where a lot of people is earning money from profiting from the ones who are constantly losing, lmao.

Casinos with physical buildings have been legalized because the government also earns a lot of income from applicable taxes, it is widely recognized by developed countries because gambling also serves as entertainment

So no, there is no need to worry about the legality if your country allows gamblers.

Yes, gambling legalization is a mystery to solve. Of course, making it legal would give a bad impression of a country because it ruins the life of people and no country would like to do so. But as you said, governments are well aware of what is happening in their states and they know gambling also because they take huge amounts of taxes from casinos which have built their name in country.

Gambling through websites legality isn't yet defined in lots of countries around the world since some doesn't mind or doesn't prohibits online gambling whether other are strictly refusing it and considering it as felony  and from the top of my head i can say that China , Malaysia , Russia and of course the US banned internet gambling in different ways .
So if fiat gambling situation is still as shady or as prohibited in most of the world , then bitcoin gambling wouldn't be any clearer .

So if fiat gambling situation is still as shady or as prohibited in most of the world , then bitcoin gambling wouldn't be any clearer .
Yes gambling is indeed something that many law challenges. Many rules prohibit gambling and we know that only a few countries can legalize gambling. I think both Bitcoin and Fiat are the same. The only difference is probably only the ease of playing gambling. With Bitcoin the gamblers are very helpful because it can make deposits and withdraw easily. Currently most of the game type is online gambling, but again I do not recommend to play gambling for someone who is not ready to accept all the risks. In addition to opposing the law, gambling will also be very influential for the life we have. So prepare the mentality and ourselves because life is a very important thing and we only live once, That's why the importance of choosing this thing in living this short life.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?

IT would be depending on the country on where you would be gambling. especially now that there is a lot of going on woth bitcoin being banned and somecou tries imposing strict regualtions on it. There might be some countries who tink of this two as illegal
Officially, Countries don’t legalize gambling because it gives a bad impression of that country in front of other countries. Also, Government is well aware about the fact that majority of their population like gambling as the ratio of casinos goes on increasing and all this happen under the eye of the government.
Being aware, they still don’t close casinos because these governments are also taking profits from such casinos in shape of heavy taxes.
I dont think soo. If thats the case then what are you views on Las vegas? It do really give bad impressions to those people who do hear of such place? Maybe in some but not a valid basis on a certain reputation of a certain country. Gambling sites are everywhere and gamblers who do affected their own lives because of gambling is already their responsibility and gambling businesses doesnt have any obligations on that.

The legalities of gambling vary from country to country where the people's culture is the main concern and beside government policies and connections are also a big factor like for example if you are operating a gambling casino and didn't comply a certain requirements mandated by the government then your operation is illegal, even online casinos are illegal to some countries.
Yeah I think there is o problem in gambling in bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized and the governments has nothing to do with it. Therefore I think that if someone use bitcoin in gambling it is right and there must be no legal issue in this regard.

I believe that nobody will know ever that you are gambling in bitcoin because it is online and the rest of the people have nothing to do with your laptop of computer.

Bitcoin gambling is legal depending on the country where you are doung and operating the gamble. However if that country has banned bitcoin then that would also follow that gambling using that currency is also not valid. That’s why i really think tbat this is conditional

Before you gamble you should know if it's illegal or not, every country has different set of laws therefore you have to be responsible in knowing if you are safe or not on what you are doing. If that is against the law then I am sure you will pay the consequences once you are caught for violating the law, this is an entertainment but if it's illegal then it's hard to have fun anymore, we need to sacrifice the fun to ensure we will stay safe and just look for other means of having fun.

There are some countries that ban gambling through casinos and even in online site. I do not know why they banned gambling online and offline but we all know they have a good and explanatory reason. Gambling is worst addiction and it can literally destroy lives, if people in a country can't avoid or keep themselves in gambling, then it is better for the government to ban it.

Gambling is forbidden in some countries. In some countries, it is not illegal but it is not approved. We can compare Bitcoin gambling with the FIAT gambling. Both the Bitcoin casinos or the world currencies casinos are providing the same type of the games. When the gambler wants to cash out his profit in the crypto casinos he will sooner or later turn this Bitcoin to the cash for which, and that depends in which country gambler is living, he must report his earnings that he earned online. If he doesn't report his income that can be called illegal activity but that is also depending on the country the gambler is living. Bitcoin gambling is legal as long the Bitcoin stays Bitcoin and is not malversate for illegal activities.

There is/are rules about it. If you are living in a country that is religious then gambling is no doubt illegal on it but if you're living in such a nice country that is allowing people to gamble and they are taxing people's profit and as well as the establishment then there's no need to worry on it, they are legal on those places.

I think it's not only about religion. Evolved countries allow gambling (and they are religious/conservative), while poor countries don't. Evolved people know very well how to deal with gambling on their countries, they can live with it without becoming addicted and without ruining their lives and their economy. I really don't understand why poor countries are against gambling as it could generate an interesting income for the public coffers.

That is depending in a different country becauad in some country gambling and casino's are legal so that it varies by country, also religion isn't much prioritized if a people wants to gamble it is useless.

It depends upon if it is prohibited by your own government because obviously all things becomes illegal if it is imposed by the law. If the scenario is that bitcoin gambling will be considered as illegal then can they banned it? maybe they try but its hard for them to do since bitcoin is no central control and there are still gamblers will be anonymously doing that activity.

As long as the casino has the necessary certification to operate then it is very much legal to operate, there has been a crackdown of cryptocurrency gambling websites that doesn't have license to operate in the first place and those are all being closed down.

It’s obvious that gambling becomes legal when casinos are enrolled in the documents of the state but we shouldn’t be keeping this thing in mind because we have to follow the instructions given to us by the almighty god and we should follow them because they are for our good, not for our bad. Gambling puts people in serious troubles, especially the gamblers who lose in gambling and our god doesn’t want to see us in a trouble that’s why he didn’t allowed gambling.

There you go, the best explanation.
To make it more simpler in most countries like India the laws on bitcoins are not yet firm let alone gambling with bitcoins and actually if you follow your country's laws and pay your taxes on winning then I don't think you should sweat a drop in the worry of legalization and all.

Moreover, since this topic has been touched, I would say a lot of illegal gambling has been done lately.

Well whether it is bitcoin gambling there are still some country that gambling is illegal and there are also legal. Bitcoin gamblng is still a gambling so if gambling is prohibited in one country then for sure it is illegal. However, bitcoin gambling is anonymous so no one will know what aged or gender you have. Other people has a confident because they know that they profile is hidden.

Despite most governments do not recognize Bitcoin as a currency, all those restrictions and existing laws  relating to online and mobile gambling  apply to bitcoin gambling. If online gambling with fiat money is illegal in your jurisdiction, then it is also illegal  with BTC.

Wrong, most of the countries that aren't wealthy enough does have a lot of gambling place that exists. And to those countries that aren't allowing it are the ones who are mostly rich and doesn't want to let their citizens involve with such activity because they know what will be the return to their people.

I didn't see any reason to not legalize gambling in the world, because it's a good way to make a profit for some person and also a good way to make you happy. Is gambling legal? Or it is not prohibited? I would say it is not prohibited, which means you are not committing a crime if you participate in such activities. But I think that Bitcoin gambling will not be legal any time soon, because need certain set of laws and regulations which are complicated. This is not in anybody's daily agenda for the moment.

Depending where you live then it may or may not be legal. But usually gambling is legal in most countries, so I think the best thing to do is to do your own research before you even gamble. Bitcoin and gambling are different things, but if you play on a bitcoin gambling site, then you have to check whether gambling is legal or whether bitcoins are legal in your jurisdiction. It just gets a whole lot more complicated. But generally right now there aren't much countries that has declared bitcoins illegal, so not really something to worry about there.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?

Here in my country Online gambling is legal, of course if you have a permit. Regardless if you are using Bitcoin or FIAT it should be legal if the countries laws are allowing it and illegal if they are prohibits it.
I am not sure about the legality because I have never searched such sites because I am not so interested in gambling. I don’t know about my government but I think that the government will not allow gambling in my country because off line gambling is strictly prohibited and no one can gamble openly. The ordinary people also look ambling with bad eyes. May other countries give permission of online gambling?

depends where u from.
if gambling online is illegal that even btc is.
if btc is illegal then it is.

Yes, because I think some countries banned bitcoin but I don't know exactly how many countries and what are those exactly countries but here in our countries bitcoin gambling is not banned or either illegal. As long as internet is not banned it is legal and everyone can still play bitcoin gambling.

It is illegal since no gambling sites have the certificate of legality, since they are anonymous, they are taking this advantage to make money. It is a very good business but requires a lot of money, and the risk is still there because you don't know if there are people who will gamble in your gambling site, if there would be no people, then you are going to be bankrupt and all the money that you have spent will going for nothing.
Gambling is not a good thing and I think that it should not be legal because then every person will gamble openly. Even the students will gamble. Bitcoin is a big money and of you lose in bitcoin it means that you lost all your business, because bitcoin is not only money but it is also a business and losing business is not sensible. Therefore if a person is edict of gambling, he should gamble offline and not online in bitcoin.

There are two things that I'm thinking why those countries are banning bitcoin gambling and making it as an illegal activity. First is that they are a country that doesn't support bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and treating it as illegal too so other things that are related to bitcoin will be ban and treated illegal as well. And the second one is with relation to the religious reasons, there are big countries that are depending on the majority's religion and they are respecting it.

If a country decide to make gambling as an illegal thing then its either to have some reasons like some hidden or just purely concern for its citizens to avoid on wrecking their lives. Making easy money on gambling is really possible thats why most people do easily try their luck. People doesnt really like to exert effort too much on making money but in sad reality any amounts does really require hard work and gambling is just really designed for entertainment and not an option to make it as an income.

Bitcoin is not a reason for banning gambling. We all know that before there is Bitcoin gambling remains illegal. When using Fiat gambling remains illegal, all things must be related to religion and belief. In addition I think gambling game has a lot of risk and a thing that is not useful, that's what underlies why gambling is something that is illegal and prohibited by many countries. We can do a lot more useful things than having to play gambling.

Some government really bans it or making laws since their peoole were getting too problematic due to gambling stress, some tends to do crime due to their addiction that's why they decide to ban it, same with online gambling some country blocks specific casinos. But I think that the ultimate reason why government are very strict on gambling because they want charge some taxes on it. Illegal gambling won't give any profit to them even though it involves huge amount of money.

There are countries mate that are already banning bitcoin and in that case, as bitcoin is being banned then everything that will be related to it will be followed as well. Before there's nothing such as bitcoin gambling which is illegal, when bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies aren't well known and popular much there's no way to ban it and people just ignored everything that's related to it so before there is no bitcoin or bitcoin gambling ban but now that knowledge about it is being spread and there many things people can do to use it so regulations are coming.

Yes, gambling is legal in almost countries in the world, except few of them. I didn't see any reason to not legalize gambling in the world, because it's a good way to make a profit for some person and also a good way to make you happy. Personally, I like gambling so much, and i always play for the reason of pleasure no more, I feel so good with any bet i did.
Few of them didn't like to make gambling legal as there are some sort of debate from what they believe and there are conflict of interests that are dealing with each views of citizens and people who are governing those country. But if there's no clear rule on it, that's not illegal nor legal.

because if they make gambling legal, there will be many people depend on gambling and don't work to search money. it is not good for them and their family because soon or later, gambling will ruin their life and they cannot stay alive in the future. and if gambling is legal, people will do everything to have money and they will do whatever they want as long as they can have money to continue playing gambling. I think this is the negative of gambling that we should know and we should avoid.
That's true! The way of thinking as we are as human being, naturally we don't want to work long hours and we just want to earn the easiest we can in a legal way. But for those countries that are making it illegal it's either that's the reason or there are some other reasons that they don't want to disclose. They don't want their citizen to get in gambling as their life will be dependent on it.

it is better to depend on legal work because we don't want to break any laws that will make us to jail. besides that, if we only depend on the gambling, soon our life will dangerous and we can get high stress because we cannot make money at all and moreover, we can suicide after we get broke. there are many ways that we can search to get an income and as long as we want to try, no matter it is, we can make money for our life.
There are two results if we will depend on gambling. It's either our life will be in despair and bankruptcy or you'll be lucky enough and have to live a better living. Legalities are always followed if you are a law abiding citizen so there will be no problem that you'll break any law if gambling is legal or illegal.

I think it's not illegal and legal because there are no rules about it.
I believe that depends on the current status of bitcoin and gambling separately in your State and Country. If you are allowed to gamble then you are not doing anything wrong, bitcoins just make gambling easier and there's nothing new with bitcoin gambling. I mean the casino remain same like sports betting or roulette and slot machine. Everything is same just the currency ( more correctly I should say Asset ) changed.

A responsible gamble also has to know the regulation of its country, when bitcoin gambling or crypto gambling is illegal then we should not try because we will all ended up cashing our bitcoins to fiat and that time we will be trace. So far, the crypto gambling is getting more popular so IMO it's not yet fully regulated and we gamblers have the freedom to do whatever we want with our crypto currencies in gambling.

A few precautions to take:
- make sure to bet on a reputable website ( www.bitvest.io is one of them and I strongly recommend it)
- whether or not gambling is legal in your country, I am pretty sure gambling on Bitcoin websites is probably not legal wherever you live, apart from a few exceptions, so make sure to use a VPN (just in case)
- make sure to transfer your winnings to anonymous wallets / mastercard (such as Advcash).
Hope this helps.

Well, you have a point my friend. Gambling in casino is legal, But there's some countries banning in site of gambling they did authorized them to operate because government think that gambling in site is illegal, you know why? because government did not get taxes in gambling site. Besides, gambling may cause of bad effect in being a gambler one of the reason is addiction. In addiction a gambler may do a prohibited crimes like thief and other just find a way that they had a money to used in gambled. Then i think if what is bitcoin that is a gambling.

I agree with you my friend in this regard. Gambling is legal in all countries but not officially as far as my knowledge is concerned because making it legal would spoil the reputation of one country in front of other countries as it is considered to be bad habit.

But, also at the same time, the countries are well aware of every single casino running in their state as they are paying having taxes to governments for the sake of their county.

Gambling can be legal or can be not. There’s a little bit controversial answer to this question. It depends on the rules of that country in which you are living.

As far as my country’s rules are concerned, they totally don’t entertain gambling as it’s completely a sin as our religion says to us but many European countries and cities like the one you named which is also known as gambling hub in the world as their government allows them to do so.

I dont see how Bitcoin gambling can be excluded when its not officially money except arbitrary worth decided by every person.   The only logical objection is like perfect999 says if gambling itself is outlawed in any situation no matter the value.

If I want to sit in my home and gamble matchsticks then I will.    How much value my friends place on the count of matchsticks is our business really.   If you need to start a fire, it could be an invaluable asset or it could just be a stick of wood.  Supply and demand is a part of freedom for all, USSR found this was required after all.

I think no country would wish to make gambling legal as it will spoil the reputation of that country internationally. Gambling is considered as a bad habit and the one keeping it is also a bad person if we talk logically. But I think that all the countries are well aware about every single affair happening in their country, so how it’s possible that gambling is not under the eye of the government of the country in which it is taking place.

Also in my country there is not yet warning about bitcoin gambling since it is not yet exposed to all especially I think in government but if they will going to know about I think they don't need to stop because they know that it is much profitable than the real gambling but I think that they need to announce some giving taxes on it. Every site of bitcoin gambling needs to give their taxes every month if the government already know about it, that's my opinion if this will soon to be happens.

Not only in your country in most of the country people know just Bitcoin, but they don't know how the bitcoin will use in real world. People think Bitcoin is an investment to make money. But they don't know, now most of the online gambling sites are using this, and we can play online gambling with bitcoin. And it is not easy to collect tax from online gambling sites they can easily escape by showing false income.

In offline gambling what do you mean by that? There's no guarantee that it's legal when you're living in a country that they prohibit gambling. The answer if bitcoin gambling is legal is it all depends on the country that you are living. Whether those casino's are licensed but if someone will have an access to a country that ban or prohibit online gambling then the answer might be obvious.

While in some countries gambling may be legal but bitcoin as a cryptocurrency may not be accepted and legalised yet, so in such place it is safe to not gamble with bitcoin.

While most of the places have gambling regularised, and bitcoin is not illegal in mosf of the countries so it is fair to say that gambling with bitcoin is not illegal.

About point number 2, I think differently, bitcoin is not being considered as a currency at most of the countries, so if you country doesn't consider it as a currency then the rules of gambling on currencies won't apply.

I will give an example, let's say your country sees bitcoin as an asset, and at the same time it disallows gambling on money.
The rule of gambling won't apply on bitcoin because it is not a currency and it doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to legally bet bitcoins at your country.

Anyway, I don't see a reason for you to mind if bitcoin gambling will be legal or not, as your government won't be able to know that you gambled, as bitcoin at it's nature is anonymous.

You need to ask 2 questions of yourself that requires you to answer for yourself.

1. Is Bitcoin Legal in your country?

2. Is Gambling Legal in your country?

3. Are you at the legal age to gamble?

Well those I think are the essential questions you need to know and answer in order for you to see if Bitcoin Gambling is even legal in your country. Another follow up is of course is the gambling site you are playing on legal? Some Casino sites here are running of a illegal operations which some countries require first their approval before their citizens can play in that said website.

Bitcoin is not really anonymous if they the government will find ways to trace those using it for online gambling, however bitcoin is not yet regulated in some countries so people have the full freedom to use it at any transactions they want to. I hope in the future the government will not ban bitcoin gambling because in reality it gives a lot of entertainment to the majority of people and if they legalized they can benefit through taxes.

But seem I've heard, that in some countries.. gambling with bitcoin already has been legal.

I think you have made a blunder by making a statement that USA allows gambling because she is a rich country. I completely disagree with you in this regard because gambling is a bad habit as its image is bad all over the world and definitely, the country who would be promoting it would also be considered bad as it is very stressful and disastrous for the users and no country would like their reputation spoiled due to this fact.

However, I think all the countries are well aware of its affairs also they take huge taxes from the casinos which have vast business.

Bitcoin gambling is legal depending on the country where you are doung and operating the gamble. However if that country has banned bitcoin then that would also follow that gambling using that currency is also not valid. That’s why i really think tbat this is conditional
Well I don't think any country can ever legalize bitcoins so if you seek that ways then bitcoin gambling is illegal. But technically speaking if your government allows gambling and you change your bitcoins into fiat and pay proper taxes on it then there is no problem I suspect.
Talking of gambling I think most of the countries allow it, while some countries don't permit their people for online gambling.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
It depends on where you are located, there are countries that ban any form of gambling so even if bitcoin casinos are not explicitly prohibited we can assume they are prohibited despite that, but there are countries where gambling is legal under some circumstances and in those countries gambling with bitcoin will be legal or at worst something in a gray area of the law.

Once bitcoin is legalized in a specific country, it can be used as a currency if only the retailers accept it as a mode of payment. To open a casino or gambling website, you will need license from the proper authorities and when that is done, its completely legal.

legal or not legal I think it still depends on our own thoughts. Although gambling is said to be illegal, still if it's already a gambling fans it will remain a legal, right? ;D and still doing a gambling as can as possible, it doesn't matter it was said an illegal's thing.
But seem I've heard, that in some countries.. gambling with bitcoin already has been legal.

Gambling is legal for adults in most of the world, only the legal age is different in those countries. Gambling is a sin in some religions etc, but it's it a reason to make it illegal.

And yeah bitcoins gambling is legal as well, if basic gambling is legal in specific country. I don't think there are different laws for normal and bitcoin gambling.

To create your own bitcoin gambling site, you need all these formalities but to play gambling with using bitcoins, I think it is not required. Many countries bitcoin is not a legal currency, but you can see people are playing gambling with bitcoin freely. Suppose if your governament ban bitcoin gambling sites with using VPN you can access any website.

We can freely play gambling on a gambling site because on gambling sites we are completely an anonymous person and if your government bans gambling website , You can use VPN to bypass the gambling site and play there.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
Bitcoin itself is seeing as illegal in some countries and therefore it is good you state the place that bitcoin is legalized and then we would find the nature of the laws guide gambling in those countries. For online you can actually gamble using  bitcoin without mush hindrance  because bitcoin itself in transactions is highly anonymous and decentralization and this make it very difficult for any government to understand how you gamble and the source of your fund.

depends where u from.
if gambling online is illegal that even btc is.
if btc is illegal then it is.

You do not understand making something illegal does not make it disappear that is what a lot of people like to believe, making gambling illegal will only create underground casinos where people have no way to know if the games are fair, while legal casinos need to offer fair games to their customers.

Until no one tells it's illegal you can use Bitcoin in any gambling site and i think Bitcoin and gambling is both different when in term of legality. Both could be legal or illegal only in the country you are in depending on the rules of your government.

It is nowadays pretty irrelevant whether or not bitcoin gambling is legal, because you can deposit and withdraw anonymous. And there are also gambling sites which offer anonymous account registration. Despite of this good news, in most countries bitcoin is legal as most countries have no law about it.

Yes there are gambling sites that there is no central control but speaking of legality i think still no official proclamation of making bitcoin gambling as illegal. But eventhough time comes to illegalize bitcoin then i believe government every government will get hard to control since every transaction is peer to peer and node by node for every user.

It depends on countries and places rules and regulations.
If  gambling itself is ban in a country, then gambling with bitcoin or any other currency is automatically illegal.

While in some countries gambling may be legal but bitcoin as a cryptocurrency may not be accepted and legalised yet, so in such place it is safe to not gamble with bitcoin.

While most of the places have gambling regularised, and bitcoin is not illegal in mosf of the countries so it is fair to say that gambling with bitcoin is not illegal.
bitcoin is very strong and anonymous.
if we do gambling with bitcoin I consider this is a legal action when viewed in anonymous terms.
but gambling is still an illegal act in some countries.
gamblers always have access to get their gambling venues
Yeah your right.
For me as long as you follow the rules in gambling it is legal.
And if you use your own money, then you are nothing to worry because its your own decision to gamble your own money.
It just become illegal, if you cheat while playing.
And if you use other people money.
Thats an illegal, because your pooling other people just to earn money for yourself.

I know that most of bitcoin gambling operates illegal because it's much easy to set it up and operate it online but I think the most popular one like bitsler is legal but it still depends on your country's jurisdiction.

Gave it a read just now, it was fine, nice, short and crisp. Specially with the tabular data, i found it more readable and informative.
A little doubtful about Greece, i read something contrasting to your table regarding the gambling scenario.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?

I dont see why it wouldn't be legal, as long as you are not on the United States or just in China, gambling with cryptos should not be a thing to be worried about.

And you can easily go to gamble in just a casino that accepts bitcoins, it is full of them, you with them on bitcoins or just any other currency and they give you chips for playing in selective games.

It is not difficult, it is full of them in Europe.

If you country doesn't allow online gambling or your government is very strict then most likely it isn't technically legal.

However, there is nothing stopping anyone from doing it because governments don't control Bitcoin and don't have the power to take down websites.

The only ones that do are superpowers like USA, Rusiia, UK, etc. but these issues are too small for them to care about.

Besides the cost to make it legal is quite expensive it is also complicated when you have to deal with the government.
Bitcoin based gambling allow you to run it with smaller cost anonymously.
That's why mostly think it is not necessary to legalize their business , we are in different world , but government always want your money.

No the legality of something has nothing to do with your beliefs it has to do with the law, if gambling is illegal in your country it does not matter if there are some casinos around the country it is still an illegal activity and you are violating the law so if gambling is illegal in your country avoid gambling, do not look for any kind of trouble.

In my opinion, it only depends about in where are you located at the moment, and where is the casino (online) located. If it doesn't have the proper license, you can easily bring back some lawyers and they will close the casino soon because it doesn't meat the regulations

True, gambling might be illegal in your country but it can be legal in mine.  It is really a matter of where you are living.  In the Philippines, as long as the gambling site is registered to PAGCOR, it is a legal operation else they will shutdown your sites and order a cease and deceased to stop your operation.. Though I do not know about an iternational Casino sites since there is no restriction preventing citizen to play on any international Casino site.

Bitcoin exists on the blockchain which is basically no man's land and i dont think authorities even have bitcoin on their radar in terms of gambling because gambling already exists in the fiat world and if they choose to make it illegal that would be waging a war on crypto gambling

If you found a casino (a physical) ones in your place or in your country then it's clear that your country supports gambling. They are giving license to operate to those who wants to run this business and the government will take a big portion on it. But with bitcoin gambling, it's different but you have the assurance that bitcoin gambling is legal since they are supporting gambling.

you are right especially if we play gambling in the country that gambling is not allowed and we can break the law and get to the jail. but I don't think that bitcoin gambling exists in the real life because so far, I only find bitcoin gambling place is on the internet and if we want to play gambling in that site, I think we can use proxy or software to hide our IP so we cannot be traced.
