Some countries legalize gambling and others don't recognize it as legal activity. So it really depends on the country and it doesn't really matter if its fiat or bitcoin. It just follows the general rule in gambling per country.
In most of the country gambling is illegal but in every country, you can see gamblers. Like that, if governament ban gambling it will not affect the online gambling. You can play gambling anywhere from using bitcoin, and yes it depends on the country, some countries will take severe action if anyone involved in gambling.

Bitcoin gambling is not illegal because in order for an online casino to operate they need to register it, they are paying tax and they have their address listed in their website. If a casino is not legally registered how can we trust them , how can we play on their website thinking that they might run because they don't have any obligations.
Even if a casino is registered in a country with lax gambling laws they could still end up scamming you. There are enough stories of people winning big jackpots in traditional casino's and not receiving their money. Okay, some Bitcoin casino's may not be registered, but they do have a proven track record, which makes it pretty safe to play there. Ofc I wouldn't leave any funds on your account if you're not playing. Also, most good Bitcoin casinos have instant payouts. This is really a real-life situation on where even on those legalized or complete document gambling sites or casinos do really have still the risk on not being paid when you do hit jackpots or big prizes which means no matter where you go the risk of getting scammed is there but somehow if we do engage on legalized casinos we do have the chance to trace em up than on those who dont have any licenses at all.

There are some casino even offline and online has registered in the government and that is legal but there are some gambling are illegal and mostly it was in online and i think there are some bitcoin gambling which is illegal and we need to avoid that we need to choose the legit that we can keep our money even we do not monitor our fund there but we are confident that it was safely kept in the site. The undocumented gambling businesses are ilegal, they should first get permission, papers etc. Some online gambling websites are illegal because they are not regulated. If you wanted to play at a gambling site with an ease, you should search for the legitimate one like what you have said. There are some countries that prohibited gambling like in the middle east.

Good point, with legal casino's we will be able to find ways to sue them if they will scam us while those who doesn't have documents we can't do nothing, legality is part of some assurance although we really can't predict or assess whether a casino is good or not even they are legal documents, still we are at risk especially with btc houses.

There seems to be not legal casinos bitcoin yet. However, gambling in some countries is prohibited. Legality is indispensable, but gamblers never care about it.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
Here in my country Online gambling is legal, of course if you have a permit. Regardless if you are using Bitcoin or FIAT it should be legal if the countries laws are allowing it and illegal if they are prohibits it.

Is Bitcoin gambling is legal?
IT would be depending on the country on where you would be gambling. especially now that there is a lot of going on woth bitcoin being banned and somecou tries imposing strict regualtions on it. There might be some countries who tink of this two as illegal

There might be some countries who tink of this two as illegal It cannot be illegal if a certain country does not legalize or recognize bitcoin yet, it's just a payment system and they will be having a hard time to shut down a gambling sites as there are a lot of sites operating in different countries. For me, bitcoin gambling gives conveniences because we can play in any gambling sites and we are not required to comply with the KYC so it's just like the trust system are building here, besides, they will lose profit if they will destroy their reputation.

It is a very good business but requires a lot of money, and the risk is still there because you don't know if there are people who will gamble in your gambling site, if there would be no people, then you are going to be bankrupt and all the money that you have spent will going for nothing.

My entire country doesn't have a stand with bitcoin gambling though they are aware about bitcoin and they want to regulate it but still that it rumors. Bitcoin gambling is now popular since gamblers from casino's just want to stay home and find comfort through doing it.

Even if you country stands against it you can use VPN to to access offshore cryptocurrency gambling websites so that you can gamble without your government censoring it. There are a lot of ways around those gambling websites so whether or not bitcoin is legal in your you can still gamble.

I agree with you that they are somewhat illegal because they need to avail themselves to the jurisdiction where they are based so that they pay taxes to the government and the gaming body of those countries but because they are online i think they take advantage of the people and the various governments to make some cool bucks.

But maybe bitcoin gambling is legal in a country that accept bitcoin. If bitcoins and gambling are legal, then there's no other reason to make bitcoin gambling illegal, right? And if one is illegal, or even both illegal, then bitcoin gambling should not be legalized.

In my opinion there is no gambling legal. All the gambling are illegal but people gamble anyway at their own risk. In my country all types of gambling are illegal and as bitcoin is still decentralized therefore the governments has nothing to do with bitcoin, therefore the gamblers put their money here without any fear and hesitation. I don’t know about the other countries. May their governments allow their people to gamble anywhere ?

Ya their are many countries where gambling is illegal so definitely if you gamble through any source of medium its illegal. Also even if gambling is legal but bitcoin is not then too using btc for the gambling become illegal. So it will definitely depend upon the country and its polices towards it. May be better to avoid if some is not sure about both the aspects of it.

Even in websites that have gambling licenses it depends on the country where you are playing and its laws, for exemple I live in Tunisia and the laws prohibt gambling but i still do it ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) . And for the countries that allow it, the gambling website will need the same licenses since bitcoin is a currency just like any other.
