For sure we need altcoins, because many startups started after ico boom and can bring us new technology and new things, bitcoin is stubborn old guy without smartcontracts.

Yes, we need new altcoin but the main argument here is the fact that we need new altcoin with new ideas that will serve as a development to the blockchain space not repetition of ideas all in the name of the so called competition.

Yes, altcoins are certainly needed in this world.
After all, 95% of the people gathered here do this in order to make a profit, not to decentralize the markets. We want a good profit that will immediately make us a millionaire.
With bitcoin, this option is not very suitable, because the rate of BTC at this time does not show a large and confident growth. Therefore, it is faster and more efficient to make a profit by investing in other currencies that have a greater growth potential.
On the other hand, there are risks and it is not worthwhile to invest everything in altcoins, it is necessary analyze are these altcoins scam-coins or not. Else you can purchase an audit of projects of interest to you from specialized companies.

I cannot earn in just Bitcoin alone. I also needed my altcoins. I can earn more in my altcoins than in Bitcoin because that's what I have right now.

However, the fact, both are not important than FIAT  . Bitcoin or Altcoin, you all need to sell them to FIAT for using. You can not use Bitcoin or Altcoin like FIAT to payment. That is the fact and the target of the whale too. The whale do not like anything, they just like money. For them, cryptocurrency is just a tool to make more money from others. |

yes we need altcoin, if it's not for altcoin bitcoin would not grow as much as of today's value. even thought decentralization is bitcoin another goal, altcoins further decentralize the cryptocurrency community and it also allow developers to experiment with unique features.

Of course, we need the Altcoins. Bitcoin is very expensive and commission for the transaction too, not everyone can afford to invest in it. Altcoins is a good alternative investment method, their price is lower, and you can earn well.

Altcoins have different niche and bitcoin are not on those specific niches so that is the reason we need other cryptocurrencies as well. There are some focused on infastractures, ads, ecosystem and many more so there's a reason for them to exist.

Off course, for me altcoin is the best in terms of gaining profit you can buy this at a cheap price and can be sell on high. Earning through airdrop and bounty for free, such a big help to us as a cryptp investor. So as cryto go far altcoin is also next to the success

Most users here are only justifying the need for altcoins based on the prospect of profit. But altcoins are much more than that!
BTC might be the flagship but the rest of the crypto armada has a number of very promising ships, with very good tech solutions and clear vision for the future.
Crypto is not only about profit! Crypto might actually change the world as we know it and altcoins we play a major role in that change.

As for me altcoin is still very necessary. Altcoin, btc and other top crypto currencies have the same side but with different capacities, others even though different but mutually support and build the quality of price and specialization in the market what else is now a lot and varied models and measure. I think this could be the innovation and potential of increasing demand from consumers or investors to acquiring it.

For me, yes we need altcoins. It is a way for BTC to have a healthy competition and it will give us investors a variety to choose from. Good thing is that in every field their is a dedicated altcoin such as real estate, shipping, transportation, identity protection and so on, so it is up to you which one to put your money on.

Good point, btc is really damn expensive - altcoins less so. So it depends on your requirements really. |
