The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

My favorite thing about Cryptogenic Bullion is its name. A good name is pretty important for a coin to succeed if you ask me.

This frivolous circlejerk is pointless and using space that could be better spent showing potential investors the future plans and current updates to the software.

I understand your point and respectfully agree and disagree. You are certainly correct on the prioritization of development over advertising and we are of the same mindset. However, as development continues in the background, this giveaway activity is designed to attract and involve the community. Future plans and updates to the software will be released along the way as well. Hang in there my friend  Wink

Edit: Also, if you want to follow development and plans without the excess fanfare, I would suggest following the lead dev blog on the website, here is the link: https://cryptogenicbullion.org/#blog

This is maybe a question better suited for elambert and mercSuey;

Worldcoin WDC, has a USD<->WDC service announced named Scharmbeck, which I belive, could really facilitate the adoption for WDC as a currency for individuals as well as businesses.

Is this something that CGB has down the roadmap for future features and services?

As silly as it may sound, I like the name of CGB the most. There are too many xCoins and if the crypto world is going to appeal to the masses, you have to think about it psychologically too. People like, and are used to, storing value in Silver and Gold Bullion so to make something with a similar goal in mind makes sense. It's a small thing; but it matters I think.

The real interesting part of CGB though (which is unrealized and relatively untapped) is MADEsparq. I'm a big data nut and am quite anxious to see that mature.

Is there a plan for 2014 for CGB?

Over the last few weeks it has plummeted in value, which is great for buying more (which I'm doing), just not so great if it keeps going down to zero!

I know MadeSparq is still being worked on but there's not been any real updates on it for a while, is there anything in the immediate pipeline? or at least a timeline of some sort so we know when to expect updates?

It would just be good to have some fairly regular updates to keep the interest strong and the value & hash rates strong.

Cheers.

Yes, there are plans for CB in 2014. As you mentioned, MADEsparq is in development. Additionally we have expanded the CB team and we are prioritizing our projects and marketing plans. We will continue to share with the community as much as possible and as often as possible. Stay tuned  Grin

Yes, it is a great time for buying more  Grin.

I have total faith in CB, the superb Dev team behind it, and what they are doing for CB behind the scenes.
Everything that has been announced in the past has been announced when it is 100% ready to go. None of this we are going to do this, that, and the other, just to keep the price up, or to keep the interest of the larger alt community.
Anyone with an interest in CB as a crypto-commodity and not a quick pump/dump/profit/abandon alt-coin understands this, and they will be rewarded with holding a premiere crypto with a solid future.

Its easy to gamble on the newest coin of the week. Indeed you may get lucky, but it is way too easy to lose that gamble.
CB is not a gamble, it is an investment. Investments take time to mature.

The infrastructure around CB is being built, and this takes time.

From the start CB has been put forward as a long term investment.......'lock it away in cold storage and let it gain value'.

With all these pump and dump coins coming out every day it is easy to get distracted, as I myself have done in the past. You dump a coin to buy another which you think is going to make you a quick fortune, only to see that coin plummet in value, and the one you dumped take off.

CB needs to be treated as an investment as it is intended to be. Only buy CB with funds you can live without over the longer term. Keep an amount of play/gambling funds for the coins of the week, and never gamble or invest with money you need to live on.

Remember tis the year of the Bull, no Bull, Bullieve it...or Bullieve it not!!
