Hey Mark, lets get on a call or something. I am still not totally sure what's happening. Last I heard you were having major internet issues, but is that the main problem? If its a funding issue, I know how you feel, but we should be picking that up. I would hold off on anything drastic for now Smiley Hopefully service improves.

As I have mentioned in the past, I will be looking into starting a CryptoMall here in Ontario once things settle down for me. Also the article should hopefully bring in some new interest.

I just had a word with the president of the Barrie Amateur Radio Club. They are open to receiving assistance with accepting Bitcoin (and possibly others) in order to accept it as payment for membership. Once the Barrie CryptoMall opens, we will have our first business!

Hang in there Mark! Do you have other providers? Satellite perhaps? I wish we could provide material support, but the steam is only just picking up Smiley I'd also like to note, there is no minimum requirement for a CryptoMall to function. Simply an online directory would qualify. When we get you back online full time, you can dedicate yourself better as a consultant.

You might want to talk to them about implementing protocols for transmitting CGB (and others) via Ham radio frequencies. Keep in mind that ham communications are worldwide and designed to be used in the event of local or, global failure of other communication systems. Devs could get together with them to create a special wallet that would easily integrate with their systems. This would be a real first and easily taken up by the millions of Hams throughout the world. Talk about innovation...

The thought crossed our minds! After all, it is possible to get a standard IP link running over ham radio. This is just another channel for real world adoption that we would love to explore. I have floated the idea of a digital modes special interest group within the club, and this would be right up that alley. I can already see a lightweight (partial blockchain) client excelling in certain use cases here. It's a function we have had our eyes on for quite some time.

CryptoTown Development Workshop - Ham Radio Applications

Please also see the Reddit post for further discussion.

This post is intended to collect information and ideas for how HAM radio can become a standard (though optional) part of CryptoTown communities. In accordance with our open development methods, I will leave a set of links and ideas, and add to them as I find more information. Remember, there is no official leader in a development workshop. Please discuss!

HamRadioCoin - HAM
Digital currency for Ham Radio Operators all over the world!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=675564.0

 Cheesy

It could be the very last chance to buy CGB this cheap fellows. After the next push up it may never be this cheap again and there is plenty reasons for it. CGB has developed for over a year and with the miningsubsidy on 0.1 the market will not be flooded as before. Luckily todays low price got sold on very low volume so there won't be too much resistance from profittakers on the way up. Keep your patience or improve your average purchaseprice at wholesale price Wink

Thanks!

You'll need to sit down with your coffee to get through it, but its a foundational document for both CGB and CryptoTown.
