Excellent update guys, I should think that a wallet update will generate a bit of buzz around CGB - I invested in CGB a while ago because I totally believe in its fundementals. The world does not need yet another 'currency' as there are so many already competing for top spot.

CGB setup is special, price drop at this stage is so immaterial its almost commical, all that matters is that I hold a solid % of an utterly finite resource that given the right push could be worth more than the rarest preshous metals on the planet to day...

I will hold until 1 CGB is worth $10,000 - Then I might sell. ONE. Smiley

Finite Red's post was the straw that broke the camel's back. Short and sweet: had enough.

Have donated 500 CGB to the Foundation.
If Finite by Design's silver bar turns up, I shall donate BTC to its value to the community.
Will puddle through with Cherry Farm until Christmas. Surely that's fair.

Special thanks to Elambert and PSD. And you are all always welcome here at the farmhouse.

IMZ it would be a shame for you to give up just because of someone who didn't agree with  or perhaps hadn't even read about your opinions. I for one read your posts with great interest and was just about to comment along the lines that it would be a great if we could start implementing some of the ideas that you have suggested here recently.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who values your input a great deal, even if I wouldn't usually come out and say it (seriously check my post count).

On another note, great to hear that the new CGB client is coming along nicely. Congrats to PSD for another great article, enjoy your holiday it is well deserved.

Liked this post. We're probably in the area 10-14, don't give up on the worst moments. Panic-hold or buy.

CGB is added to the Crypto Currency forum and Pricetracker on:

https://cryptoconnecta.com

It's a new Social Media platform for crypto's you might want to try.

A dedicated CGB forumsection is here: https://cryptoconnecta.com/index.php/forum/cryptogenic-bullion

For dev's there's a place for announcements: https://cryptoconnecta.com/index.php/forum/ann

It also has crypto-auctions (for BTC value). For altcoins they offer an escrow service. Actually auctions are hosted on a seperate site. https://crypto-auctions.com

If we want to have CGB accepted for auctions, we'll need to have it setup, I'm not sure if there's a setup-fee or anything, I haven't discussed in much detail.
Question is, would you CGB holders use an auctionsite enough and create listings, offer products to sell for CGB or bid on other listings. What do you think?

@FiniteRed, totally legitimate post. I personally agree 100% with what you say. Strange behaviour by IMZ to highlight your post, and personal view in such a way where you may feel offended, in order to justify their departure from the thread. Almost makes you not want to post anything here at all  Huh

Thanks RaggedClown - and no I'm still here (not going anywhere  Smiley) It is sad to IMZ leave I must say, however it is his choice so I wish him the best of luck Smiley

In my mind the point at which CGB fails is the point at which it's fundamentals are changed to mirror the countless other alts out there. It both shatters it's uniqueness and broadcasts to the world "hey guys - we got it wrong". Investment is coming - it may take a while but when big money investors looks at the alt-scene CGB already stands out on a very short list of investable cryptos and with the updates and improvements coming with Vault 2.0 should put it in the top 3.

That's funny. I thought we were at 10-14 postition on 2000-4000. I have lost to much to sell now. I only keep CGB because of this community.

Hey FiniteRed, I must have missed this note, what is the Vault 2.0 you mentioned? The updated wallet with its new feature set?

Too bad IMZ felt that he needed to leave the discussion, but maybe the lack of a working internet put an extra strain on him? Anyway, he's always welcome back to our discussions and improvement suggestions for CGB.

Know the feeling Wink
I've lost around 90-95% of my initial investment, so the only thing to do now is hold and work hard to bring the prices back up again.

I don't mean to insult anyone but I think top 3 is wishfull thinking (borderline delusional imho). I would love to be proven wrong on this one as I trusted CGB as a store of value when it was worth a lot more than it is now but I think we can be glad if we reach 0.001 again.

CGB certainly deserves to outpace those get-rich-quick shemes.

Better to shoot for the moon than end up in Detroit Grin

I reckon that CGB has a dead interesting investment pattern when it comes to increases and decreases in value. On the one hand it does not take very much (comparatively) for the price to jump from $0.10 to $1.00, however those who invested when the price was climbing will be reluctant to outright dump as a) it cost quite a bit to invest and b) the potential of CGB is such that if it's going to work it's going to be worth billions.

This results in a slow and steady bleed when the price is falling and (what I expect to be) a very sharp jump when the price rises.

Just a theory - but it looks like it's ringing true so far...

The Vault 2.0 is the new client currently under construction, more updates to come but here is the teaser announcement and screenshot.

Screenshot definitely looks pretty nice.  It will also be nice to have a stake button rather than having to do the thing at the debug console.

Looks like someone has artificially inflated the market cap of CGB by purchasing a small number at 5 - 6 x is normal price:

1   Cryptsy      CGB/BTC   $ 273   $ 0.104359   68.58 %   Recently
2   Coins-E      CGB/BTC   $ 0   $ 0.196880   0.00 %   Recently
3   Crypto-Trade   CGB/USD   $ 0   $ 0.590000   0.00 %   Recently
4   Vault of Satoshi   CGB/CAD   $ 0   $ 0.412157   0.00 %   Recently

This is probably going to result in a rather sudden price correction (tho nothing that far from where we before this (potentially) sneaky price manipulation)

I think those were just the lowest sell orders at those particular markets. The crypto-trade one was actually a couple of days ago so probably just the team there setting a price point and history, but who knows...
