I can't see any similarity between something that is changing people's lives for better and drugs that destroy people's lives and don't give them any real benefit. Drugs are one of the most deep problems in society and in people's lives, I don't even compare this kind of thing with drinks addiction, because it's different. Money "addicteds" are ambitious, envious and unscrupulous without being under effect of any substance (what is the case of drugs addicted).

Just like heroin or crack cocaine, it creates an addiction.
Same as was gambling
Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.
It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.
In the end it ends bad.
You got it all wrong those type of drugs only do damage to your organism, while if bitcoin is done correctly it will only be beneficial for you, you are reading too much into this, bitcoin is just a currency, I do not get any kind of thrill by holding bitcoin at all.

If anything bitcoin should be compared to is gambling, having bitcoin and saving it is like gambling because you always want to keep saving and keep on greeding each time you see the price of the bitcoin going up, and always there is just a bit more, until some day the price might fall and lose, the addiction that is tied to bitcoin is nothing compared to the addiction of gambling or drugs because, you are not hurting anyone or you are not losing anything, it is just there if you are lucky you will get more profit as long as you have it.

man, you need to stay off that shit famlay. heroin is heroin, bitcoin has no part of that story LOL. tell Middle America otherwise you cant put this on bitcoin one bit. i will allow you that bitcoin may facilitate some poor habits (its really easy to gamble with bitcoin, and people are more likely to spend bitcoin on something that they would not have purchased otherwise with fiat). but what you are describing is a psychological condition that doesnt really have anything to do with bitcoin. gamblers are gamblers, if its crypto, fiat, whatever. sometimes thats rolling the dice a few times, or spinning the wheel; it could manifest as trader a that takes too much risk on leverage. but despite how it rears its head, its an addiction to thrill seeking/risk taking behavior, not cryptos. unless you want to call greed an addiction.

I think what you say is wrong. addicted to heroin or gambling different from crypto. you must have knowledge and of course plan and experience. very different from gambling and heroin. this is a wrong thought, when you invest money in something you will expect in return for a profit. and when you gamble almost 90% you have lost. as well as with heroin, you will spend money in vain.

Hehe, yeah. Maybe for some people addicted to equate smoothly between drugs and investment. Maybe from the side of drug users by using drugs we hope to get the peace. So also with the investment we hope to get a profit. But of course I would agree if it is different. Thank you

Yes it is true, we just need to believe in ourselves in order to win this currency we can compare it in real life if you don't believe you will never get what you wanted but if you insist in yourself that you will will it may happen, so do not forget to believe no matter what happen, and also if you know how thanks someone or know how to gratitude there are so many luck will come into you life, opportunities and so on.

I really agree with agan, if we already know bitcoin then we will continue to seek profit, and will not recognize the time spent just for a bitcoin.

Bitcoin is nothing like heroin. Here is a quick summary of what opiate addiction is like: Desperately wanting to stop, but knowing that the drug has a complete hold on you. Swearing to yourself every time you shoot up that it will be the last time, but once the dope sickness starts creeping up, you go out and do another bag to push those withdrawals back a couple of hours. This endless cycle of promising never to do it again, getting dope sick, doing “one” just to feel better, then saying “fuck it” and doing a whole bundle, continues until you’re completely out of money, then you start stealing from people you care about to buy more, the stealing from friends, neighbors, businesses, going to the pawn shop 2-3 times per day, hoping to get at least $10 so you can get well for a couple hours. Not eating, because the money you spend on food is just money that you can’t spend on dope, and you’re not going to be hungry anyway after a couple bags. Slowly, your list of “I’ll-Never”s gets shorter and shorter until you would do literally anything to get your hands on one more bag; shit you never would have thought of doing before that first time you picked up. All the while, the good person inside of you is screaming for you to stop, but you lost all control over your addiction a long time ago, and the only way you can think of to stop the battle inside your head, and the awful feeling and panic of withdrawal that constantly haunts you, is to kill yourself, and knowing that every bag you shoot might be that bag that causes you to OD, but not giving a fuck, because your life is already over.
I hope to god that bitcoin hasn’t affected anyone on here to that extent.

yes, I agree with what you think, that bitcoin is like heroin, can make everyone not stop to get bitcoin, even can make some people crazy. it's because bitcoin has a very high grade and can change the economy of the people who use it.

how can you say that this topic is stupid? op is only saying that bitcoin is like heroine because it creates an addiction to him just like drugs and i think there is nothing wrong about that though majority of people including me are also experiencing the same problem as op does because we cant even sleep or eat properly due to so much addiction to this crypto thing.

Well i believe that bitcoin cannot be considered as heroin or like a heroin as well.bitoin is really different from bitcoin in terms of impact to the society heroin is really a prohibited drugs that can really harm to the life of individuals. While bitcoin is really a great big opportunity for everyone that can really make anyone gain a huge profit that is why bitcoin is not really considerable as a heroin or any kinds of prohibited drugs because the difference bitween the two is really big.

Well I agree with the addiction part. Making money is addictive because it will give you the ability to buy your needs and wants. You get the feeling of looking forward to receive the income from your hard work using bitcoin. The most interesting part of this addiction is that there are ways on how you can earn it for free and because it is free, patience and determination is only your investment.
