It depends on person. Some people use to say that ciggarettes for them equal to heroin because they cant quit. Excuse me but they are just weak people. Same situation here, someone who has not strong life basis tends to be addicted to anything helps him to escape real problems. I dont mean I am strong, but my situation is different

It is an addiction. Once you've started engaging towards it there is no way out. Bitcoin is a very helpful thing it is good as long as greed wont be a thing.

I agree with you Bitcoin attracts people like heroin with a positive meaning. This is the due to of the fact that Bitcoin has own value for the economy. It is not a gamble.

I do not agree with the fact that like cocaine or heroin bitcoin generates addiction. Bitcoin does not produce addiction, it is more a hobby than a dependence. Bitcoin, by contrast, provides financial freedom, not dependence. Like every hobby, bitkoyn can be called a game, but not gambling. Here you need a cold calculation and a sober mind to successfully deal with the crypto currency. Who will approach bitokoyu as a gamble, he will definitely lose.

LOL.... iam even surprised that even some members agreeing with you .... iam sorry but this is so not true. bitcoin is not like an herion (herion is an addiction that will eventually kill you ) how can you compare an innovative evolving technology that will affect and change our entire financial system forever to something like herion!!! bitcoin is service that we offer to people to keep their safe to make transactions without the need of the middle man (banks) and the of course the anonymity wish no one can find out who you are unless they dig really hard to find out you are completely wrong about what you are thinking and you feel that way towards bitcoin you better get out now

Bitcoin is different from heroin. People who join in bitcoin will work hard to achieve their life goals. Unlike heroin, people who use heroin will be addicted to negative things. Heroin will only worsen the life of the wearer.

Just like heroin or crack cocaine, it creates an addiction.

Same as was gambling

Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.

It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.

In the end it ends bad.

Yes you re right! bitcoin makes addiction to a people but in a good and a best way unlike drugs and gambling money that only give you a big headache and can destroy your entire life. It is an addictions that can change situations in your life and gives new opportunity to other people.

Yes it creates addiction because its simplicity, easy to use, etc, unlike heroin or other drugs, addictive because it binds you.

I'm so sorry I can't agree with you because I don't have any experience taking heroin or any illegal drugs I don't know how it feels but I know what addiction feels like. I do agree that bitcoin captures our interest and becomes part of our daily habit so yes, it's addictive in a positive way

Well it depends on people how they uses their money or bitcoin. Yes, we know most of people know bitcoin are in stage of addiction that when they get high profit they are willing to give all of their saving into coins. Not all the time is has bad ending it just on how you control yourself and how you manage your coin or bitcoin in a good way.

Unfortunately, you are right. Bitcoin is addictive and I could call myself addicted to Bitcoin. I used to spend a lot of time checking the exchanges rates of many various cryptocurrencies. Fortunately, I somehow managed to get rid of that habit. I still spend a lot of time browsing Bitcointalk and some other crypto related websites.

I also do, I never feel or try heroin so it seems I do not agree with what you describe. Wink

like gambling. Exactly, for those who know bitcoin is not gambling, of course they may fail but very few. For many people without knowledge, they will certainly fail

In one sense bitcoin is like heroin.Because by selling bitcoin you can earn a huge amount of currency.
Another sense heroin is an addiction. But bitcoin isn't addiction or drugs. It's a good investment.
Overall it depends on what way you use it. Cool
