in my opinion heroin and bitcoin are two different things, and if we are serious we will benefit from bitcoin but otherwise Heroin can kill us slowly ....

You probably didn't get the meaning here. That means bitcoin becomes an addiction like heroin. After some time you cannot do without checking price or investing. That is not specific to bitcoin BTW. Whatever you invest or trade you will find yourself in same situation.

And when you see your income grow you are high, but when losses accumulate you feel depressed and in low moods, the same as from drugs withdrawal. It is profits that people become addicted to. So don't get obsessed with Bitcoin because losses can be just around the corner.

Well to some I Agree it was an addiction but To me it was just a hobby, whenever I do bitcoin, I check the time and it limits my actions in doing BItcoin. But, I have a friend who always do bitcoin, whenever he thinks about it, he would go and just do it, specially on gambling. He loss most of the time and win very little but he wins bigtime. We cant help gamble still when your winning high, you just want to win more, thats what he said.

I would not really use this analogy. Heroin long term kills you, Bitcoin probably will just make you rich long term, which is quite the opposite of death.

dude I think you're projecting here. bitcoin is an idea, a cryptocurrency not fucking heroin! the gambling aspect of trading bitcoin is like heroin if you don't know what you're doing because you're gambling. you have no idea what you're talking about my friend.

Yes i agree on that bitcoin cannot really be considered as  heroin because bitcoin is  profuctive way of gaining such extra profit online and it is not really addicting.I believe that people works bitcoin with the great excitement because of its unstable price  that is really profitable every time that it change because it is really a opportunity of buy and selling process of gaining that is why i believe that bitcoin is not an addicting kinds of gaining it is exciting.

I agree with you. Being hooked into bitcoin is not considered as addiction such as gambling or drugs. Also the effects is very different, being onto bitcoin will make you more richer and will not kill you.

Just like heroin or crack cocaine, it creates an addiction.

Same as was gambling

Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.

It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.

In the end it ends bad.
It still depend on how the user use bitcoin.
But some people get addicted to it due to it can easily use in gamblings etc. and right now it slows down because of high transaction fees.

It is true bitcoin is addictive, but it is not glamble, there is a reason make it so pricy
Yes interms of being addictive in using bitcoin because of rising value day by day, also they will be much addictive if bitcoin grow more in a few months or years. Being addicted in something is not always bad but sometimes especially in bitcoin is good.

That is very true. Really feels good to buy bitcoin, especially when you buy in and the value increases tremendously. Same goes with altcoins.

I beg to differ on this point as I believe that blockchain based currency/payment system is a revolutionary thing in the modern world and it has a real sense of democracy, freedom and technological advancements in it so comparing it with the drugs is not a good idea in my opinion. However, things are chaotic at this point and some (probably most of us) are willing to earn gains from it. There is nothing wrong in exploiting the opportunities but there is a huge difference between scientific research based trading and random trading.

I can understand the addiction comparision. Addictions function similarly no matter what they are to. Heroin just happens to pretty much 99% have a bad outcome. At least there's a decent chance at Bitcoin paying off, unless someone really does invest way more than they can afford to at a bad time or doesnt pay attention. I could see that going bad. Anyone know of any deaths from Bitcoin? lol

The point of addiction to Bitcoin is a positive and useful thing. This is the fundamental difference for Bitcoin and Heroin. For me Bitcoin has given so many benefits like Improving the economy in my life. If being an addict then Bitcoin has spurred me to do much better than before, oh yes I also want to always work hard because one thing I think is that I can earn more income when I can take advantage of every opportunity that exists.

For me, bitcoin is like an addiction that is very hard to be removed in my daily system. I always check my investments online whether what time of the day it is. I will continue on engaging towards bitcoin for a long time.
