It is, but we usually warn people before we ban them for this very reason.  Undecided

These are the publicly posted rules:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=20333.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=14356.0

However, we don't moderate based off of those rules to the letter. Instead, we moderate according to the spirit of those rules, so don't try playing lawyer on us. God knows we get enough of that.

Ok, I will talk to theymos and those threads say nothing about trolling or being banned, It only says "Will be removed?"

Again, those "guidelines" only set the mood for moderation on this forum. We won't play games with internet-lawyers. Your ban might not be reversed even though you weren't warned simply because I don't see many/any useful posts made by you (but I only skimmed, so I don't know for sure).

I understand. By the way, so you don't get caught off-guard, I wanted to let you know that ban-evasion is a bannable offense, so I'll be obligated to IP-ban you if you post outside of this thread.

Theymos should add a contact form to forum.

so people can contact him without making a new account.

I knew this guy was going to get banned eventually.. He had thousands of no contribution posts, and only joined a month or two ago.

What was he trolling about that led to his ban?

Anything and everything? No really, I started to get sick of the threads Iron was posting. Really started to irritate me. I'm glad that the mods actually did something about it. Mods, have a beer.

Wait you ban people for trolling, but you wont ban someone who straight admits to scamming hundreds, or thousands of USD/Bitcoin?

It's different here. Scammers aren't banned as they might repay to regain their trust here. Only those who obstruct the conversations held in this forum is evicted, e.g. trolling/spamming.

Ban will not stop scammers, they can come back again and again with vpn or something.
Spammers and trolls are easy to spot and stop, but scammers are not.
