I was a stock trader until February of 2017. Stock market is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission which is a branch of the government, which I don't trust a lot. They put limits to a price, they even make a call for price correction - this means that the value of a share doesn't really reflect the market's supply and demand. Crypto is not regulated by any body, that's why it can go to whatever price the supply and demand dictates. On the other hand, the price fall would really hurt you.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is a new virtual currency that you can invest thru online by only using your cellphone and internet. The Government must implemanted rules and regulations for the security of investors so that they well be at ease of not losing their money. Moreover, we can earn additional income thru trading aside from our bi-monthly salary at work.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong of doing both investments for as long as your plan is to make your money grow for your future and family than to buy unnecessary things.
