I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do???

I would not sell now, I would wait for a higher price, I still think that growth will be. You are such a fine fellow. Your experience inspires!

I'd go with option 1 and 2.

50% of your BTC I'd convert to alt coins (mostly something in the top 25):

Examples: ETH, ADA, NEO, Nano, LTC, etc..

And the other 50%, I'd HODL as BTC.

if you have no plans to convert it to usd anytime soon.. then learn trading well and use 1-2 btc and trade in 3-5 exchanges with 10-20 coins

remaining 10 bitcoins you can use 2 btc to buy litecoin as its considered silver standard after bitcoin in the crypto field and you can keep 3 bitcoin idle as you might need some emergency needs sometime and remaining invest in some place or offline projects if at all any or hold it for bitcoin to reach 100,000$

It really depends on your investment thesis: perspective really changes depending on your status. Are you a trader, a long-term investor or someone trying to moon?

Keep these bitcoins. Now the whole crypto is falling, but soon everything will fly to the moon. And of course listen to the opinion of specialists, traders. Be advised, and analyze it thoroughly.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

It is necessary. If you wont play trading game you conwert into ETH or NEO. Should have in summer price goes up quickly. But if you didn’t wont risks you can hold on wallet

As for me, best way conwert in Alt (ETH. NEO) and wait until summer then pick up)))

It's very difficult to give advice at a time when the crypto market is falling. But I would recommend to cash out 50% of your funds at 9500-11000 and cash in at 7000. I guess we'll see that price or even lower soon.

50% hold and 50% invest,to be less painful when one loses also care to avoid late repentance.Sometime crypto is bloody red and that was hurt but all of us have hope and positive always

Save 1 btc on hodl & diversify your portfolio in altcoins. Bitcoin is too heavy for fast grow now, but altcoins have very good potential. It is important to remember that 90% of altcoins will fail in 2018, be careful & have steel balls

If you wait a little longer, Bitcoin might gain extra value because people will start selling alts for BTC and therefor the price of BTC will go up again.
This is just an assumption of mine, do your own reasearch.

hmm it is expected that btc should again dip to 6-7k range for better pump next time ..
trading is safest option as of now , bcoz here you will earn profits and even if losse then risk amount will be less.

however among 4 choice , prefer 2nd among all , 30% in fiat , 40% in btc and 30% in altcoins is best idea ..  use these funds as par market condition .

Sell at the current price, not a good option. You can only wait and hope that the price of Bitcoin will still go up. We are all waiting for this

With 12 bucks, you have to shake them up, just in a year you have a large amount of money, bitcon then cost about $ 100000 and you will have $ 1.2 million

Thanks for the story about how you managed to get up, very interesting.
I think you need to keep bitcoyne and you can transfer it to altcoyin a bit, I would do it, but I think that you are more experienced than I am.
