However if one is really good at understanding market cycles, you may want to sell before the dip and buy the dip to make the most of the situation.

It depends. If the decrease is still well above of a trader’s entry price, then he has the option to sell since he will still earn profit from his investment. First, i'll wait 'til the time that bitcoin's value grows or increase again. 2nd choice is, i'll invest it in a ICO that i'll know that i'm going to have great benefits from. Like when are you possibly going to sell, your target price, how many months, years are you planning to hold and another stuffs is what if the price suddenly decreases, will you make stop loss, will you give it months or years of time to recover.
