Just as he tweeted he is not Satoshi Nakamoto. Just compare PayPal (where he has been working for some time). His working style is completely different from Nakamoto's. Also BTC can't be called a "green" technology so it can't be so populistic as Elon Musk usualy do.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed with finding out who Satoshi Nakamoto is. It has pretty much become a buzzword by now. Doesn't matter who he is, the system he created works and I think that's the only thing that should concern us.

The very early plans for PayPal were actually eerily similar to bitcoin's aims. They got bogged down by the usual banking, business and regulation stuff. I don't know if that was before his time. |

Why are you spreading misinformation? The article is about how Elon IS NOT Satoshi. Yet your thread headline is that Elon IS Satoshi...and in you're commentary you're still pushing that it's possible. If you don't believe what the article is saying, why don't you share what details seem fake? Elon Musk was starting Tesla in 2008/2009, do you think he also had time to deploy a project as revolutionary and fragile as Bitcoin? I doubt he is Satoshi, but he could have been part of the original group of Cypherpunks that Satoshi delivered his/her white paper to.
Just compare PayPal (where he has been working for some time).
Elon got booted as CEO from PayPal in 2000 and PayPal was sold to eBay for $1.5B in 2003. So....Elon HASN'T been working at PayPal for some time. |

Despite whatever wild speculation is bound to accompany this, I do not believe for a moment that Elon Musk is Nakamoto. There is no way that the man who was a founder of PayPal would also be intent on making something that could beat his business, and keep in mind the money Musk had from PayPal was still a considerable sum. Making a cryptocurrency about 6 years after selling PayPal is possible, but I doubt he would have been taking the time to make a crypto considering he had already started to invest in SpaceX and Tesla (and Solarcity) at the time. While it could have been a special project, I find it doubtful he's involved with it to any significant extent. |

Until now many people claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto but the evidence they have is still lacking, I'm sure he will not show himself in public. Because it could be going to happen things that are not in want, for example he was kidnapped and forced to open all the keys to access blockchain. And there is the beginning of the bitcoin destruction. |

I read this rumour and chuckled. A man with the self-promotion and ego of Musk being the reclusive Satoshi? Doesn't sound likely, and then factor in Paypal history and launching Tesla at the time of Bitcoin makes it daft.

Elon Musk is a known personality ( especially in advanced digital technology); if we extrapolate such profile into satoshi Nakamoto's one , we can confidently conclude they aren't the same person, because bitcoin founder must be highly hidden ( for his safety and security )

Anyone who is claiming he is Satoshi Nakamoto is most probably not him.No one knows who is real Satoshi Nakamoto or if he is even alive.I don't believe anyone who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto because real Satoshi Nakamoto won't reveal his identity.He has kept his identity private for a reason and if he reveals his real idenity now then many people,corporation,government etc may be after him who are against bitcoin.  |

Every time BTC is being noticed by huge institutions, there is always someone like Craig fooling around.
