We could spent all our life trying to guess whether Bitcoin brand or not, will it grow up or not. As for me I trust trading statistics. Now guess: Does any crypto except Bitcoin holds more than 50% of turnover in all major exchanges?

it so happened that bitcoin is the very first coin that appeared! for this reason it is very popular, as a reign! but I think that sooner or later, there will be a worthy competitor bitcoin! Then the prices will not fly either up or down! will calmly go up! already now appears the first five coins at the head of bitcoins!

Litecoin is faster, monero is more private, ETH has smart contracts and there are much more altcoin with much more features, even Bitcoin Cash is faster than Bitcoin, but BTC keeps rising much faster.
Don't you think it's just because of the name?
Well bitcoin indeed was the very first digital coin ever named and created before all other coins, but bitcoin have struggled for so long and even skyrocketed its price. Compared to other coins, bitcoin is widely accepted anywhere. |

The reason why bitcoins is rising much faster is that, it is the first cryptocurrency that has been created and altcoins are just created in order to compete with bitcoins since btc now a days is very expensive and altcoins is also profitable even though it was cheaper and we can convert altcoins to btc as well so every coin is profitable. |

I would say yes to that. Other coins are far superior in terms of what they can offer. Ethereum and NEO are far more practical, and other coins like WAGERR can do anonymous betting on sports events. Bitcoin however is known worldwide by the general public and that kind of reach cannot be said for any other coin.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. The Bitcoin brand is ingrained in the hearts of Cryptocurrency investors. Referring to Cryptocurrency, people will think of Bitcoin. In fact, Bitcoin has a slower transaction time, higher costs than other altcoins. in the Future, Litecoin, Ripple, ETH, Nano...vv will pass Bitcoin.

BTC (in my opinion) is more decentralized than other coins, almost all altcoins have dev teams that can publish updates for the network if they want (of course one can also work hard, but BTC has more source and dev source), BTC on the side others require that almost all users approve updates (if not some hardfork users)

Actually its not about then, its all about the platform because investors are looking at every plans of the ico's and they are trying to determine if the ico will really succeed in the future and that's how they are getting investors for good delivery of their platform. |

the technology of all those coins belongs to bitcoin. before they become what they are today, bitcoin is the mecca of all coins. not just a name because the perfect blockchain technology is bitcoin. You can freely compare bitcoin with other coins but bitcoin is superior because bitcoin has excellent decentralization.
every altcoin does have an edge, but they can not be like bitcoin.

The name is not the one who give much importance to one coin but it is all about its founded beginning that survive unto now. One item that have much effort, much features, much special, much quality, much unique is the kind of items that everyone wants and desiring to have even a single. I don't know what the real bitcoin looks likes but I think the volume of gold is also the basis of its brighter price. The more years to pass the more bit coin value rise.

Its not because of the name. The reason why bitcoin is still at the top 1 crypto based on coinmarketcap is because bitcoin is the father/mother of all crypto currency. ETH,XMR,BCH and LTC are just a copy of bitcoin in upgraded manner. And because of this. bitcoin becomes the digital storage of wealth. Thats the real reason |
