Is bitcoin just a brand?

Litecoin is faster, monero is more private, ETH has smart contracts and there are much more altcoin with much more features, even Bitcoin Cash is faster than Bitcoin, but BTC keeps rising much faster.
Don't you think it's just because of the name?

As i seen, it is because of trust. Trust means its value still accepting in many trading even though price was falling down dip even 1 btc = $1.
Also, Bitcoins has been more popular and implemented on some business online.
Make this conditions, if you have real money $1 millions, would you be sure to investing all or mostly for buying Litecoin? monero? Eth? or Bitcoin?
My answer is i will buying/spending all on Bitcoin first. Even, buying bitcoins nowadays are high price but i will take this risk rather than buying others.

It may contribute as to why bitcoin has been increasing value. Come to think of it, people, when talking about crypto mostly know only bitcoin and not other altcoins. So, I can say that the bitcoin name helps in promoting it, therefore helping in increasing its value. It's potential is off the charts as well that's why more people trust it.

Media loves Bitcoin because of its marketcap. That's why it is so popular, for example, for two main reason:

1. People can make money trading bitcoin
2. It is a currency the people have control of not the banks.

Bitcoin isn't rising in value just because it's a brand, rather it has proven to have the capacity to absorb shock and rebound. There may be many reasons for this. First, the circumstances surrounding its origin. That Mr Satoshi was able to develop the currency and step aside gave it a 'it belongs to public' appeal just like money. There's no one you can point to as being in charge or being the owner. A lot of people love that. You may be aware that many people think Bitcoin is just another ponzi. That is despite the circumstances surrounding its origin. The good news is that with Satoshi out of the way and  Bitcoin backed by a community, there's no media campaign against its 'owner' that could survive a scrutiny.

You only need to look at Bitcoin growth chart since inception to understand that justification of the confidence many repose in the digital currency. Aside 2014, it has had consistent appreciation yearly which has had a cumulative result. We all have seen coins that never survived up to a month, but Bitcoin, despite being the premier is the prominent. Bitcoin has survived a lot, so it has earned the market confidence.

No it is not just the name, there is much more about what makes Bitcoin best. Bitcoin was first of its kind, and yes that gives it big head start. But I don't think that Bitcoin is successful because of that only. Bitcoin transactions are slower because there are so many of them, and there is limited hash power. Bitcoin has built it reputation over several years, and there isn't some new Altcoin that could beat it over night. People invest in Bitcoin, because they trust it. Investing in other coins is bigger risk, it is simple as that. So it is not just the name.

No it is not a brand for some people it is even their job because some people earn on a daily base from bitcoin or other altcoins also for other people bitcoin is a chance to rewrite history and be rich.

As you mention they three has different ways, remember BTC is the very first in compare and it's security is very good, people mentioned above about the amount of block per time which seems to be another thing to compare

I don't think it's because of the name. So if Bitcoin Cash is faster than Bitcoin and has "Bitcoin" in its name then what is the problem here? It looks like the vast majority of Bitcoin community decided that Bitcoin SegWit1x is "how Bitcoin would look like if Satoshi Nakamoto was still around here". There are plenty of altcoins which have many interesting features but none of them is perfect. Even Bitcoin has flaws.

I think not, bitcoin is legendary, and that makes its name even higher. if another altcoin appears at the beginning, for example Litecoin, then today Litecoin will be the parent of altcoin.

Not just the brand, but it's also including, too. Bitcoin remains a guarantor, showing growth over a long period of time. Very large investors invested money to this, surely the banking sphere will start buying up its shares very soon .

That's the lack of understanding or awareness, because at times bitcoin gets compared to some of the brands. It is done to make clear about the capital it has gained. This might have got interpreted as a brand promotion. When people learn the real usage, such statements will go away.

I'd rather to say that bitcoins holds every particularirty of other coins but it's on better conditions.
