You probably could ask if the dollar is just a brand... being the first has its merits but the acceptance and the market adoption like no other coin have to make a significant influence on the value of it. Maybe in the future, some coin may reach as much acceptance and inclusion in the various markets like bitcoin has, until them there is no question why it keeps raising, is not just the name is a lot more than that.

You have made some arguments that don't necessarily mean anything.
Sure Litecoin is faster, but its 2 minute block time means a much bigger security risk as a greater amount of hashpower is wasted. Therefore it also requires a much higher bandwidth and if it had the same number of users as Bitcoin it's network wouldn't be able to handle the load.
It's a similar story for Monero. Same block time.
Ethereum and Bitcoin are driven by different purposes and thus cannot be compared. Bitcoin Cash is not better than Bitcoin in any shape or form.
Sure, the majority of all altcoins have features that Bitcoin does not, or are better than Bitcoin in a way and Bitcoin's price might stem from the fact that it was the first currency, but due to that, it's still the best currency.
Absolutely.Bitcoin has been the pioneer in crypto world gaining the trust of investors all over the world.It was the first thing which gave financial freedom to the people who were already fed up of governments and banking sectors.They have seen it performing well giving them good returns as well as their investments also remaining safely.So,they prefer bitcoins and don't want to risk themselves by investing in other altcoins. |

Litecoin is faster, monero is more private, ETH has smart contracts and there are much more altcoin with much more features, even Bitcoin Cash is faster than Bitcoin, but BTC keeps rising much faster.

The actual thing is that Bitcoin is used for the shopping and other services more and more and that is why it's dand is increased and the value increase. The exchanges are more so it is a more convenient currency. |

What the? It was like asking if your mother was a brand? Bitcoin is the mother of all cryptocoins, and all the concept of the coins rising now is from bitcoin. I don't get it why you need to say that this is a brand. If this is a brand, then it is the leading brand of all brands, then.

I don't consider it's just as a brand but I want to say it's a huge investment source. Bitcoin is a crypticurrency that can be called as an alternative asset of gaining money.It's become popular day by day.Altcoins are very risky investments,while bitcoin is less risky.It's price increasing day by day. It is used everywhere..

Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency, is not a brand, it obvious that when an open source project gets international recognition,people want to create brand to make themselves popular. I think the real confusion for ordinary folks is going to be trying to choose an exchange, wallet etc. In own opinion, it incredibly cynical of companies who create parasite brands like "Bitcoin.com" or "Blockchain.info" because their entire strategy is to "trick" people into thinking they are the "official" Bitcoin - though an official Bitcoin, by definition, does not exist.

No bitcoin is famous not because of the name but more of the features, bitcoin is the first crypto currencies that become famous, therefore bitcoin already got a lot of users, bitcoin is already used in a lot of places, and since the high spike of price bitcoin has attracted so many people to invested, with a lot of investors bitcoin become more famous and the price become more valuable

It is usually not that you think of naming hahahaha.. it is about how the crypto currency works on demand and supply and it is how popularity comes.. being yhe first ever cypto currency / virtual money of course it is more rare and the people will trust it more than those new altcoins. It is like the founders edition and amount of people and investors who are continuos using especially bitcoin as the basis like USD☺ THATS basically it
It's not necessary the brad but the people's choice were they put there trust to invest in that kind of crypto-currency. They only thing you want to be wise in selecting currencies is be patient and continue reading. |

I believe bitcoin is really not a brand because it has a value that can be invested and may be a good way to earn a great huge amount. Bitcoin is just virtual currency on the market.

You can say it again, its probably one of the best and rising brands of recent times, and it will be like this for many years to come. Technically, it isnt the best coin, but its price is the highest, so makes it the best. Look at it this way; old houses in prime areas are always priced higher than very modern houses downtown. The old house may not be the best, would require plenty of money to renovate it, but is still priced higher. |

Not just the name but the name now has become synonymous with cryptocurrency that they are inseparable. Rather more people know the bitcoin name than what a cryptocurrency is. I try tell people what I do and they blank on cryptocurrency and then I mention bitcoin 5 seconds later and most understand at that point. It goes to show how important bitcoin is to cryptos and in fact bitcoin may be bigger in popularity than cryptos. |
