The prices are surging due to huge investments being made by the investors in order to gain huge profits in the long run when bullish market comes with huge price bumps and price reaching peak levels like $50k-$70k.This demand is not matching supply as it is limited to 21 million and economics rule states that higher the demand higher the prices.So its rising and will continue to rise in future. |

It's very simple reason, really.
Human greed.
Many people wants to make quick profit and when they see that btc grow fast, they want to get in "train" as soon as possible and wait for a quick earning.
A lot of payment accelerates bitcoin growth until saturation and slowing growth occur.
When such scenario happen, trend change.
Than, we see panic selling and drop of price.

Well for me the factor that drives this crazy volatility of Bitcoin price is the law of supply and demand. If more people would want to buy more Bitcoin, we will have a higher demand than the supply that we have, hence the price is go higher. It also has the same principle when the price is low, the more supply we have since a lot of people are selling their coins then the lower the price will be.

I think bitcoin rises up because of positive news regarding bitcoin, like amazon will accept bitcoin as payment. Countries like hongkong and Singapore are friendly to bitcoin will be a new haven for China for cryptocurrencies growth and development soon. Islamic regions recognised bitcoin though it is been restricted due to Islamic beliefs and rules. All these positivity helps bitcoin to pumps up bitcoin so crazy. |

The price increase of bitcoin is not sudden but a gradual rise. Actually noone can really tell the exact reason why it goes up neither whi controls its prices. It is also unpredictable. Maybe one of the reason is the demand of bitcoin and investors has again a positive view of the cryptocurrency. |

Usually around christmas, people need money for presents etc. Also a lot of people probably realised the developement looked like a bubble which was about to burst. Together with a lot of bad news from media (which I think was manipulated the same way it way manipulated to get this gigantic bubble going) it came crashing down, with probably even more people selling their coins in fear of losing even more. The lower the price though, the more people were motivated to buy in again, especially people that know how to invest: buy at the bottom, sell at the top. Now that the bubble has burst, Bitcoin can develop normally, which is a upward move (as more people get intrested in, but the number of coins is limited)
