If you increase the volatility, then you increase the trading spread, and thus the profits for the exchanges.

It is called profit taking. Happens when people cash out profits.

It is just a correction not a dump. It is normal in trading, either you see the price up or down. Relax and sit back a few days, BTC will be back.

I believe most of us expected this correction. 1000$ in 24h is not healthy, so i'm glad to see the correction. Excited to see how far the correction will go, and how long it will last.

Why bitcoin price decreasing, now the price is $9,346.22 !! what is the causes of this dump ? Also all of alt coin dumped.

I don’t mean to be flippant in my response, because you have an important question. But this is a normal part of ho-hum daily semi monthly quarterly, up and down, a correction just sit back and relax.

Why do people create threads like this like it's some unusual rare phenomenon? Everyone knew there would be a dump at some point and it will always be that way.

I should have dumped last night!!! It was 15300 (Aus $) today I sold at $13900! Ah well profit was made. Hoping the down turn continues so I can buy more back.

Its not smart to try and call tops on bitcoin. Unless you are VERY experienced it is just too risky. HODL

They probably bought in at 11k and are freaking out because they are losing money. There is so many new people to crypto and they invested before they knew much of anything about crypto or just trading in general.

Of course I could sell in at 11k then buy back at 9k. But I just prefer to hold, will do only if I make 30% profit. And yes, it is just correction. I'm afraid to invest more money before buying hardware wallet. Screw this electrum and other crap. Don't trust more than couple grand to store there. Cannot believe somebody will keep like 10 BTC on it! It just too cheap and stupid move.

You can’t call this dumping. With the price rising at $1000 per day, a correction is prefectly fine. This is normal in trading.

I also think it is quite normal. Everybody now gets out a bit profit even if you cash out now! That's crazy 😬 Bitcoin rised so freaking fast and alot of people are crying haha but that fact is a month ago nobody of you believed to reach 10k this fast. And this was just too fast Cheesy
Bitcoin will fall now, till about 8k and then it will rise and maybe even reach 15k by end of this year if it gets again this much tempo Smiley so just be patience and buy now... It is a good time now

It happened pretty quickly which was annoying, a correction was expected and is normal behaviour but it happened before I got the chance to get home and sell my coins! I was hoping to be able to buy back in and get myself a nice little extra chunk of bitcoin  Grin

It is very common that after a very high increase is followed by a deep correction, let alone the end of bitcoin event this year, most investors will withdraw their money into real currency. Once all is stable then the bitcoin price will increase again along with the increasing market demand for it.

Well, so far it's a 20% drop. We've seen 30-40% drops 4 times this year.
We may see another down leg. So another +30% correction still possible.
However I assume it's mostly profit taking. As soon as the NASDAQ news got released the price declined immediately. Probably some insiders did one last push to $11k and then decided to go for profits. Typical Wall Street behaviour.
Nothing to be worried about right now imo.

it is dumping because of corrections, bitcoin has increased so high these passed few days that is why they are controlling the market value right now but it will recover, do not panic
I think it is also a result of the people who do dump very low for altcoin other. or maybe because the number of issues negative about bitcoin.

Perhaps it will takes a dumps for a moment. Then surpass again and a make new correction like what happened before this is normal i think. I suggest  to relax guys dont eagerly sell maybe it will gain some strength to jump again and make a new record. Just hold back and drink some wine. Lol Because this scenario always occur so much better to wait instead of making some doubts and sell your coins right away.

If you look at the history there have been many corrections; usually they happen in cycles of ~60 days, with a smaller (but still significant) correction afterwards.

Soon enough we'll look back at this as just another small notch in the graph!
