Sir, you do not have to worry if Bank Indonesia (BI) banned Bitcoin. And also until now there has been no official announcement issued by BI. Even if banned, Bitcoin will continue to run without problems. Even I was not bothered to hear the news. Keep calm and look forward.
It’s not a big deal for bitcoin its normal and bitcoin don’t care about any ban because bitcoin have already faced a lot of challenges in past and nothing happen to bitcoin it’s still very strong and popular then before because some rich countries have accepted bitcoin and they support as well so if traders and investors have increased so its mean bitcoin will be more strong then ever and these kind of ban can’t do anything so no need to worry about anything.

according to the information and statements of the finance minister, the Central Bank of Indonesia does not prohibit the circulating bitcoin but only warns the public that bitcoin can not be used as a legal means of payment in the country because it is not in accordance with the rules applicable there. In addition, most people also do not necessarily use bitcoin as a means of payment in Indonesia, on average they use bitcoin to be exchanged into the form of currency of the country and some are using it as a means of payment, but online payment already received bitcoin type. So I think it's not a serious problem, because it takes a long process also so bitcoin can be one of the legal means of payment recognized by the government. We see the next 5 years, what kind of development because the role of the community is also very influential.

https://news.bitcoin.com/indonesia-media-urge-bitcoiners-to-cash-in-ahead-of-coming-crypto-ban/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications
bitcoin don’t care about any ban because is past bitcoin have already faced such a problem in shape of ban and now bitcoin is meatier and know very well how to handle situation so I think bitcoin is now very stable and safe nothing will happen to bitcoin and in a replace of Indonesia and china some rich countries have accepted bitcoin which give more energy to bitcoin and I believe that in coming time bitcoin will be more strong.

I think this is a temporary act because most countries in the world can not ban Bitcoin and are watching Bitcoin as the trend of the world. If indonesia prohibits real Bitcoin, they are going against the trend of the currency
Indonesia is doing wrong with itself and its citizens and banning bitcoin meant to cut off from the technology and the modernization and bitcoin has no effect on its prices while they banned it but they will feel regret in future because economists are saying that bitcoin will be the future coin and that will not be easy for them to re consider their decision and I think they must hold ban now otherwise they will lag behind.

The Indonesian government is afraid of the presence of bitcoin, just like any other country. They are afraid if their main money so worthless, because we know the price of one bitcoin can be to buy a car though.

that's really unfortunate for the government of Indonesia. I guess they will understand and act with some maturity, even countries like Canada appreciates bitcoin.
Indonesia will surely lag in economy In future because they did wrong to themselves and I don’t see any valid reason for them to ban bitcoin and what happen china banned bitcoin is still surviving bitcoin has no effect on its prices and bitcoin is not slave of any region and those countries who are banning it will come again and will beg to join again and the regretting time of Indonesia will start soon when whole world will be gathering profit.

Actually the government of Indonesia deos not banned bitcoin because they think it is illegal. They do this thing since most of their fellowmen prefer cash-based system where not suitable for the concept of BItcoin.

Only countries which have an authoritarian mindset, or whose governments have really screwed up monetary policy, will be afraid of Bitcoin and try to restrict its growth. An open government will see that fintechs using Bitcoin bring efficiency to the system through competition with the legacy systems of existing banks. I expect more governments to act against Bitcoin, but that is not going to slow its growth.

I must agree with you. For each time that a government bans bitcoin and may somehow lower the prices in the market it will only give others a chance to be involved in cryptocurrencies. A specific country is not necessary to claim that bitcoin is growing with its contribution.
Like for example China. They may have the most traders and miners influencing the industry but still bitcoin grew without them.

I think it is just government strategy to avoid having people's freedom in moving their money because they can't find a way to manipulate money in the bitcoin and because they know that they can get nothing from this. Maybe giving their community false news about Bitcoin didn't work so they are doing another option. Since a lot says that this wasn't an official announcement, maybe this is just also a part of the fake news circulating in the crypto world made by those who want to take down Bitcoin.

Banning and laws don't do anything for a system that was created solely to liberate and give back freedom to the People. If anything the black market will further profit from Bitcoin in Indonesia.

Well if more Governments ban Bitcoin , this is good for anonym coins like Onion. But in my opinion you can t ban Cryptocurrency , people will always find a way to use their crypto coins , no matter what the government says.

Another country that will be left in the dust, the problem with your government  instead of doing research, they do what mostly normal people do, they listen to the neg rap.  Governments are just people that are ruled with no brains.

Zimbabwe is proof that the people in society are even smarter then the government

the government isnt stupid they try to protect their cartel, and their power, why work for money like the stupid citizen have to do when you can simply make it out of thin air?

cryptos are in a zero sum game with central banks, you cant ask the froggs when you want to dry a swamp, thats against their interest.

but i think you can be sure indonesian government wont win this...thats for sure.

Once something becomes illegal is when it peaks the interest of others. Human nature tends to make people curious about things you're told not to do although early on in the game it is still to early to think about any implications that may be disastrous to BTC as they have no direct correlation.

nothing a bribe or two won't fix! The law is only the law if you haven't paid your way out of it yet. Guess the Polri (police) force is about to get a whole lot of btc for free.

These are bad news if it's true but at the end the people will any way use Bitcoin no matter if government bans it or doesn't ban it... I don't see it as something that would threat the BTC price to get lower or to anything bad happening to BTC because of this.

Banning Bitcoin does not mean that they couldn't use the technology behind it for for example smart cities like you said. They just would use it then in a gouvernment monitored way probably, at least this would be still an option.

Anyways, this is of course again a hard strike against the crypto world. I could imagen that they would go an similar way like China, which will lead into a more regulated way in the end.
