I think Investment should be done as long term. Investment is usually done to make sure that when you need the money in the future, you can have something you can sell or you can get money. So in conclusion if you're going to invest, it should be long term.

There are varied circumstances that determine the outcome of an investment. These are the factors that determine if an investment should be short term or long term.

Sometimes, long term investment is good if the metrics available to you indicates such term. However, I do not think that it is appropriate to decide on the duration of your investment based on presumptive assertions. It is best backed with hard facts or an identifiable pattern.

For Bitcoin for instance, it is obvious that the ability to see it as a long term asset is most beneficial as evinced by its appreciation in value over time.

We can go further to maintain that despite  the fact that it keeps appreciating, we mustn't assume that it must always be viewed as a long term investment is since we know that nothing lasts for ever - not even patterns.

So for Bitcoin, the quetion should be, is it still a long term asset as it was ten years ago? Based on extrapolative evidences, we can say it is because the demand is no where close to end point.

The distinction you make with newcomers is key, they're often the ones who will invest too much and be then forced to sell because they need it or because it's too much for them. I don't think short term investment is bad within this market because so much can be made but those who invest longer term will certainly profit the most.

I have a lot of friends focused on short term investment and unfortunately it turned up to be not as good as they thot, so i go with long term investments, it is true that the money are stocked but at the end the profits are bigger then in short term investments.

With long-term investments, you can leave your coins for a while without thinking about them and then profit in long term. You will only profit from your exit minus entry point, missing the dips and highs between.

I don't understand your logic. It seems to me that short-term investments less risky. Who can be sure now that bitcoin will exist in 10 years? You propose to put money and forget about them? No, I think you need to invest small amounts. You will always get the profit and withdraw your income. Though of course investing in bitcoin is more correctly called speculation.

I think it depends on the personnal goal of each person. But I always recommend going for a long-term invesment. In the short-term, you can minimize the risks as you go along with your plans and the goal you've set from the start, but if you're not very careful or don't have enough experience, you can suffer a few losses. I believe that investing in the long-term is always safer, you don't have to worry about how volatile the cryptocurrency market can be because from past experiences with cryptocurrencies we know that they always gain more value over time, so as long as you've done a proper research on the crypto you want to invest in, then you can be sure that you're going gain profits in the long run.

Obviously short term is better,and the reason is pretty much clear. Long term is too long basically and hardly people have enough patience to wait for 10 years to get a return on investment. With cost of living increasing more and more by the day,long term investments aren't supported much by investors ,and there are so many investors who only depend on these investments.There are traders who cash out on a daily basis,some cash out the moment they get a certain amount of profit,some cash out the moment they realize that the price is going below the invested initial price.

Short term investments sometimes give huge profits too just like the long term ones,and hardly 1-5% of the investors would love to invest for a long term basis as they already might be having great financial support,and they do not lack patience most importantly,and show sheer confidence in their investments.

I my opinion, I think that short and long term investment are both beneficial but it depends on which cryptocurrency you decided to invest your money. If you invest on a pump and dump altcoin short term is for you which is more risky, but the good thing about short term and why some investors prefer it is because you can buy on every dip and sell on every peak. But if you think that you invested on a coin with a higher chances and have the potential to even grow more like Bitcoin then do long term investment, and it's definitely more profitable.

I think it just depends upon the thing you invested in as the price might go up instantly for some time but after that you might not get that rise for a long time. But ideally the investment should be long term as long term investments could benefit more . Investing in gold or even bitcoin can give you high profits if investment is made for long term.
Also, i even read a story of a man who sold his engagement ring to his friend in return of 20000 bitcoins back in 2011 . At that time its value was merely 1$ and if we talk about present time he is owner of  billions of dollors. So, long term investments surely pays off.

I could say both, why? because investing in cryptocurrencies are risky, it is really hard to speculate the profit you can get since cryptos have a high volatilty, their prices can increase and decrease anytime. i suggest that you invest something that you can afford to loss at the same time you can think of a high profit.

The question heavily lies on your goal as an investor. This also depends on your financial status, whether or not you have present obligations to consider or pay monthly. Now for short-term investments, it is ideal to invest in this way if you have daily/monthly obligations to meet since you get the most of your money in a short amount of time. For long-term investments, this is for the people who see their bitcoin as a future asset and they consider it as money that they are willing to lose. We might not always agree with them but I'll go with my bank manager's view... Investing long-term, they say, somehow buffers you from wild changes in prices.  Imagine if for some reason you're just locked into selling your bitcoins in less than a month. If price fell, then you lose money. If you held for 5 years, even if you sell "at a loss" the value would still be much higher than what you bought it for.

I prefer to make short-term investments. because with short-term investments I can have many opportunities and opportunities to make a profit. I would choose to take a lot of opportunities and the opportunity also to be able to achieve various benefits. Than I wait a long time and maybe my income is not too much. personally I am a person who can not be patient for too long. This is my choice and strategy.

I think that the long term investment should become very best choice rather than short investment. Just like if you are holding your bitcoin now and how the price goes to the moon and altcoin gets dominated by the bitcoin. Altcoin gets a lot of the decrease in bitcoin value.

I think it should be seen clearly the investment we want to follow. many now altcoins that have an obscure roadmap, they just copied the existing coin, the clarity of the altcoin living environment also determines that the alcoin will develop and last forever or not. if you look at the short-term investments that may be worth noting is how to read us on the growth of an alcoin. for example if we want to invest bitcoin in the short run we must always monitor the bitcoin value, we should be able to see the opportunity when the value of a coin up or down. current altcoin value depends on bitcoin, if bitcoin value rises then the value of altcoin down it seprti a trend.
if we look at long-term investment then we have to support the project coin itself, can not we buy coin continue to be left alone, yes if its value to rise, if a scam? support, analyze and monitor the value of coin becomes a liability if we will conduct long-term investment. that is my opinion.

I think of an as-is scenario, if BTC crashes, of course, you should cash out when you recognize it.

I visualized what I described. I invest in BTC and I hold it, I am obviously (tried it) not smart enough to do it better with short-term investments.

yes we certainly prefer long-term because we work, the investment is to organize or prepare for the future more than now, if the short-term it only meets the needs of the moment but there is no future, therefore I choose bitcoin for long term investment the length is very profitable by seeing the price of bitcoin is now greatly improved and the future is assured.

if we're talking about investment strategy,
usually long term investment always beat short term investment in term of profit no matter what,
but if we're looking at our current movement and your spesification about long term investment i do not think it's a good thing to do.
because only holding it for more than 10 years is not a good way to trade it,
everything can be happen with it in the next second and the best way to do it is by holding it at max around 3~5 years,
load up and load off,
buying it in the bottom and then sell it in the top,
afterward buy it back again when the price retracing and then sell it again in the next point.
we may be can get 2x profits from that movement instead of holding it for more than 10 years.
holding it for 10 years++ is too long for Bitcoin,because it's totally different compared to other assets.
always bear it in your mind that everything can be happen with it in the next second.
